What clients say about QFC in Seattle Hill (WA)

Clean. Helpful staff. Store management has done a good job with security and keeping this place inviting and safe.
Feb 24, 2026 -
I visited the QFC Northgate location for the first time today, and it was a deeply uncomfortable experience. While using the self-checkout, the machine malfunctioned, giving contradictory "bagging area" prompts. Despite my best efforts to follow the system, I was met with extreme hostility from the staff. A particularly impatient worker approached me with a stern, condescending tone, warning me to "put the bag first" as if I were intentionally causing an issue. As an East Asian customer, the immediate lack of patience and the aggressive "policing" felt discriminatory. I was treated with suspicion rather than the standard courtesy a new customer expects. The contrast is sharp compared to the much friendlier service at the Green Lake location. This store needs to fix its machines, but more importantly, it needs to address the blatant bias in how its staff interacts with minorities.

Every time I use the self check out I get flagged and have to wait for an attendant. The program it uses for self check out is really dumb

Great place to get a quick bite , snacks, groceries, health care supplies.
Jan 16, 2026 -
Quick and easy to find items. I especially like the discounted flowers as you walk in.

QFC has the best people that work there just ask a employee and they we'll help you, Bakery has delicious cakes and other delicious things

Angela, old with glasses, should not work registers. She was beyond rude! Asked me to get my kid out of the cart, but I asked if my toddler could stay because I am pregnant and it hurts to take him in and out. Then I helped stack the overfill of baskets she had not cleared for the customer. She proceeded to yell at me, insisting I leave the baskets where they were. Forcing herself to do more work and be weirder to my 3 year old. She was rude the entire time. Never tried to apologize or be human. When I asked to talk to a manager, I was told she had had a hard day. No, that woman sh9uld be fired or moved away from anything involving customer service. She needs to wear a cone and has a sticker that says "mean and rude" above her name. I of course will be back because I have to get groceries. But I am most definitely going to be reaching out to corporate.

QFC is fine, reason I gave 5 star, but Starbucks inside, lacked decent sitting places. It served it's purpose, but could be better.
Dec 21, 2025 -
A little bit weirder organization than I'm used to, but the staff was helpful and the stock was great. Good produce.
Dec 20, 2025 -
Pharmacy staff are great and cashiers are always friendly. Rarely out of stock for common items but more specific items may be tough to find.
Dec 17, 2025 -
It's expensive but the quality of the food seems good and you get what you pay for these days. Unfortunately the tiny bag of groceries cost $100 here, but that's just living in Seattle.
Dec 02, 2025 -
Prices seem to have dipped from the level they were st a few months ago actually found some good deals

They are usually awesome unless it's super busy and you need help navigating the app for digital coupons. Security thinks it's funny to take items, like instant coffee from your pocket just because you dont carry a receipt from store to store. Sorry I dont buy that unless it's on sale, and it never is there. Can't wait to have a receipt next time and I will be recording. It's weird that they'd even question an obviously local regular. Is it worth the loss of business? Does it help anyone present to shame an obviously poor and hungry man that has spent all of his food stamps and is scraping change while using every coupon possible. I dont think so. I think their job is to guard the door from thieves and bullies taking baskets of unpaid food out with no respect for authority or management or the morals of functioning tax payers of society..... and breath .....

I shopped here for the first time in a while yesterday and the warm welcome that I received from Matthew was beyond words. Matthew immediately noticed myself and my daughter shopping in the fruit and veggies section; he greeted us, asked if he could assist us in anyway, and also offered my daughter a banana. As a flight attendant, it’s takes experience and talent to notice someone’s needs or their energy without speaking to them and I appreciate Matthew taking the time to pay us that little special attention…that gesture turned my shopping trip from stressful to “it’s actually a good day.” Thank you for your kindness! ? - The store was stocked, the lines were short, and everyone was in such a good mood.

The pharmacist was very kind and helpful. She even helped me with over the counter products for an eye issue. The store itself is very nice and well stocked.

Diego the young fellow at the self check out deserves a pay raise!!! The way he helped me.and all other customers was incredible. He is super fast, over and beyond friendly and his patience with us silly people is incredible!!! The world needs more enthusiastic young people like him!!!!

Security needs to lay off just a little I’m going to not be shopping here if someone is literally going to be breathing over my shoulder the whole time.. only because I bring a backpack? Well maybe you shouldn’t charge for bags worthless paper bags at check out

This is a grocery store you only visit because it's close to home and you have no other close options. The staff is haggard and outright rude and the vibe is almost combative MOST of the time!

Sometimes there are crazy people at night, but this is definitely a great grocery store to get a good deal
Oct 06, 2025 -
This place needs to install a customer service button in the pharmacy area for all the items that are locked behind the case. I spent over 10 minutes tonight trying to find someone who had the key to unlock the case.

Shawn in the deli made me an outstanding sandwich and had to run all over the store to get the toppings I requested. Excellent customer service by Shawn!

Went here on a Saturday late morning and was surprised to find no cashier, self-checkout only. This is a problem if you are going to check out a larger cart load of groceries (not an usually large amount of groceries, just a typical amount for two parent household with children). The self-check out stands only accommodate a hand basket sized amount of groceries. Also, the wooden panel across the donut shelf is not attached with screws or anything, but just propped up vertically. It falls easily and caused bruising in an adult and I believe it could cause even a fracture if it fell on the leg of a young child (who are of course going to crowd around a donut display case and bump into a precariously perched wooden panel). Staff was notified, but the problem hasn't been fixed even months later. This can become a serious safety issue, so parents of young children should exercise caution around the donut display case since the store is apparently not going to fix it.

All of the workers seem to not enjoy their job. No ones friendly, say hello or greet customers. It wasn't always this way...years ago the staff was better but turn over and perhaps new management does not prioritize customer experience.

A good grocery store, usually has what I need. There have been times when common desire has pushed common things out, like no eggs. The price is alright for the area. They have very friendly staff and staff who just do their jobs. No bad or rude staff.

The employee supervising the self checkout was extremely helpful. He helped us to check out our items and get the prices we had seen at the shelf.

Staff are very unpleasant and unapproachable, even rude at times . They treat PAYING customers like they are shoplifting. The security guards are even worse. Very hostile and aggressive, even if you have a receipt in your hand . They will INSIST they must check inside of your bag before you leave, as it is part of the store policy m

Store has a good range of products and helpful deli staff but the auto checkout technology is awful. I bought three things and had three errors to call staff. 1)I swiped the deli item and heard beeps so tossed it in the bag but the beep was from the woman next to me. I picked up the item to rescan when the screen alerted but it called staff to review. They then watched the movie of my scan and overrode it. 2) when entering phone number for qfc card it's unclear if you used keypad or screen as BOTH are instructing you to input alt I'd. I did one, with wrong number the the other correctly and AGAIN go staff alerted to fix it. 3) I tried to pay but the flow again errored on something and I had a third staff call. Seriously. I self checkout multiple times a week at Safeway. PCC and whole foods and this was extremely unpleasant and I'm not coming here again. While checking out a man at the other line who was also frustrated was yelling at the assistant with the stylish twisty moustache about something and seemed very upset about rudeness. Not good.

Love their flowers inside and outdoor. Soup in the deli section is hard to get. Its always gone runny they have changed their vendor. Price is great but selections are hit or miss

I got here a bit late after work, and Aubrey at first did not let me ask a question; however, she quickly rebounded and ensured a great experience. You have great staff and Aubrey deserves to be recognized for her work. This also go for both Pauls!!!!

I've lived in the neighborhood for almost three years and regularly visit the store a couple of days a week to buy groceries. The store has a diverse range of products, and all the employees are great and helpful. In particular, Darryl, who works at night setting up items, is exceptionally helpful. One day, near closing time, they were out of milk, but when I asked Daryl, he went inside and brought some for me. I really appreciated that. Moreover, the store's products are always of high quality; they never compromise on that.
