When it comes to our 2010 Subaru Outback Tony does the Lord's work. He is honest and not going to knock you around. I will send everyone I know to him. Give this man your hard earned dollar and trust.

Tony is honest and great at fixing cars. He'll give you real advice and never try to upsell. He is a gem in the city.

Tony is great! He’s so friendly and nice. I called him after I got a quote from another shop regarding my lower control arms. His price was significantly cheaper than what the other shop had quoted me so I made an appointment. I brought in my car and Tony was able to look at it and let me know the control arms could actually wait another year or two before needing to be repaired. He was so kind and didn’t charge us anything ?

My encounter with Tony at Tomoko Auto Care Center was most disappointing. I was charged for premium parts, yet upon inspection, found lesser components installed — evidence of which I hold in both photograph and invoice. When I sought an explanation, none was forthcoming; my calls went unanswered, and silence prevailed where integrity should have spoken. If one is so hard pressed for money, better to appeal for aid than to deceive those who place their trust in you. Perhaps others shall fare better, but in my experience, this gentleman conducted himself in a manner most unbecoming — and decidedly shady.

I dropped off my 2014 subaru outback in the morning, asking Tony to look into an issue with my gears not shifting properly. He and team took it out for two test runs but weren't able to reproduce the issue. So, after flushing my transmission fluid and not finding it dirty enough to replace, Tony advised me on what to look out for, and sent me on my way without charging a dime, even when I asked to pay. This is a trustworthy shop, and I'll be doing the rest of my business here in the future.

Look no further for the best car mechanic in West Seattle. I came into Mr. Tomoko’s shop with an unidentified issue causing my vehicle to vibrate while stalled. Mr. Tomoko not only gave me a free inspection, but was incredibly honest that because the vehicle was perfectly safe to drive, he did not think it was worth paying the hefty price tag to repair at this point in time. He did the exact opposite of encouraging me to buy anything and recommended that I come back if anything changes, saving me thousands of dollars. I was profoundly impressed by his honesty, expertise, and generosity. The best part is that Mr. Tomoko had just as many jokes as he did car advice! I recommend him as a mechanic and as someone who is enjoyable to be around! I will definitely be bringing all my car issues to him in the future.

Tony is a hoot and after joking around with you is super honest about what is going on. Would absolutely go back!

Tony is friendly and funny as hell. I go to him for a car maintenance and asked him to take a look at my car because of a grinding noise when I turn. He took a look and says easy fix and didn't even charge me for it. Prices is more than just reasonable. Took my car there at 8:30, he says he'll figure out the problem by 11. My guy found the problem finished everything by 10 instead.

Amazing service. Tony is great, our appointment was today and he got us right in, did the work that needed to be done ONLY and he explained everything to us. The price was totally reasonable too. Mercedes tried to charge us over $500 for a simple service that Tony did for almost nothing. He didn't try to sell us anything or overdue anything that didn't need to be done. You do need to drop off the car there because they don't have a waiting area though. We will definitely keep coming here from now on to get our services done!? HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Tony went above and beyond to do a vehicle inspection for me without charge. I had just purchased a vehicle and had an inspection only to find out my Lexus had a head gasket leak. Luckily the dealer I bought the vehicle from is willing to repair it. Thank you again Tony! I’ll be in touch for future services.

My experience at Tomoko Auto Repair was amazing. Great communication, fair prices, and their years of experience means they've seen your car's problem before. My old Lexus was making a noise and they knew exactly what it was. They sourced the OEM parts and provided some pressure free recommendations for some things to do while they had the engine apart, essentially saving the labor cost of having to go back in there. Tony and his shop will be my "go to" place for any future issues!

Tony is the only mechanic I go to! He is kind, funny, honest and gives you the best prices. I crashed my car a couple months back and drove it straight to Tony. Tony helped by pulling the fender out from behind the wheel and reassuring me—he didn’t charge me for his time or making my car drive able to limp it home. I have a new car now, guess where it goes? TONY!

Took my very elderly car in today (the first time I have been here) and was super impressed with Tony! Very nice, funny, and really honest with me which I appreciated so much. It’s really easy to get taken advantage of when taking such an old car into get repairs and I could not be more grateful that my experience with Tony was the opposite of that. Absolutely will come here again and recommend anyone else to as well!

My truck lost power and was miss firing while on a road trip fishing. I scheduled with another company but changed my mind when I found excellent reviews about Tomoko. I took a chance and called him. Tony was very nice and got it fixed the same day after scheduling. Hopefully I found a new repair shop. He appears to be an honest and fair and funny person.

Tony is the man and a very funny guy too. The shop is usually very booked weeks ahead. so be sure to plan ahead of time. Bringing your car here means you’ll get the best service and care for your vehicle. Tony and his team respects the vehicles as if it was their own. They take their time with everything and does high quality work. I took my 2002 S2000 here and would recommend this shop to anybody that needs their cars worked on. This shop is pure honesty and quality.

My parents were visiting Seattle when the check engine light came on, and we stopped by Tomoko Auto Care center as they were nearby. Even though it was a late Saturday afternoon, and Tony was fully booked for weeks, he offered to take time out of his busy schedule to help diagnose the issue and provide them with some suggestions. Great guy, friendly, honest, and very funny

I am so happy that I found Tomoko Auto Care Center. Tony (owner) and the team of mechanics are extremely skilled, kind, trustworthy and knowledgeable. I had a list of services recommended by the Lexus dealership and Tony and the team were able to do every single one. I drove to Los Angeles the same week I got my car back from them with no issues. I highly recommend Tomoko Auto Care Center. 10/10 experience! Thank you very much.

Cannot recommend enough! They are great mechanics that are usually able to fit us in quickly. Tony is a great guy and you should def go here. He has done wonder with our old 2000 rav4.

I would give Tony at Tomoko Auto 10 stars if I could - honest, welcoming, and treats you like family. I'm newer to the PNW and didn't have a mechanic here but saw the online reviews and figured I'd give him a call. He checked out a water pump issue the dealership told me needed to be repaired ASAP and after inspecting the car, he confirmed there was no repairs needed and told me to come pick it up. HONEST. I will be recommending him to everyone I know. Look no further and give him a call. Seriously, so thankful and glad I found him. The best experience you could ask for.

what a wonderful and honestly silly experience with Tony. very helpful, very informative, very fair, and a very funny guy. dropped off our car in the morning and ended up being an easy quick fix, was able to pick up by noon. will not tell you to fix things that don't need to be fixed. highly recommend!

The legend of Tony is true ! I showed up and he dropped what he was doing to greet me, ask questions about my needs, give advice, and throw in some good jokes /stories at the same time. Car was finished sooner than he estimated without extra unnecessary things done (unlike at dealership where they try to get you on anything). Glad I found a trustworthy, friendly mechanic!

I've been taking my vehicle to Tony at Tomoko since 2017 and have never had a bad experience. Tony is a great mechanic and runs an honest shop. The couple times I've had expensive repairs, he explained what my options were, what each would cost, and his recommendation. I'd recommend Tomoko Auto to anyone looking for a solid, trustworthy mechanic.

Tony is a great mechanic, he's affordable, and he's honest. After many years of taking my car to Tony, I've come to trust that he only does what really needs to be done. He communicative about his work, and makes reasonable recommendations. He's very friendly, efficient, and you can tell he's not in it for the money. This is just his craft, and he's good at it. Highly recommend.

Tony is the best mechanic I have ever had the privilege of working with. He is kind, funny, trustworthy, and so hardworking. Any time I have an issue with my vehicle he does his best to see me as soon as possible (which is usually within a few days that I call, if not sooner). His prices are more than fair and really helped me when I first moved to WA and needed a trusting mechanic to help me with my car troubles.

Took my car in for a clutch + flywheel replacement as well as to install an internal CSC delete kit. I had an original quote from Tony for the labor costs of removing the transmission + installation of all the new parts. They ran into a slight problem installing the CSC delete kit, which added more labor time on their end than expected. Of course, since I brought the parts to them, I expected to be charged a bit more than the original quote since they had to do extra labor because of THE PARTS I BROUGHT. However, when I got the final bill it was the same as the original quoted price..! I felt kind of bad only paying the original amount since they spent extra time installing my parts... But this is how you know they're not out here to just get as much money as possible from you. Anyways, the car feels awesome and am definitely coming back here (sorry, I'll try not bring annoying things to install anymore)!
