What clients say about Seattle Used Bikes in Seattle Hill (WA)

This is one of the last honest and transparent dealerships around. Great service on every aspect.

Seattle Used Bikes is easily one of the best places in Seattle to buy a motorcycle. The staff are knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely helpful, and their selection of bikes and gear is excellent. The level of service throughout the process was outstanding and made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. The owner, Dave, went above and beyond when I purchased my Ducati Scrambler and also helped me consign my previous bike. They also offer storage and service, which makes them a great all around resource even if you are not in the market to buy. I would strongly recommend Seattle Used Bikes to anyone looking for a high quality, trustworthy shop.

Love these guys! They really will go above and beyond for you, and they all ride and clearly love it. Fair prices, good selection, and a friendly and knowledgeable staff make this my go to shop in Seattle.

I had heard about SUB from many members of my women's riding group, with universal praise, so when I was looking to downsize from my Harley Road King, I stopped in there. The staff were amazingly welcoming and knowledgeable, and genuinely wanted me to wind up with the right bike for me - never a single bit of pressure, just professional and friendly discussion about what I was looking for and what I was trying to accomplish. In the end, I bought a beautiful 2017 Triumph Bonneville T120! That was in mid-September 2025, and I love this bike even more today than I did then. I also made the decision to consign my Road King with them, and they sold it just four days after listing it! (Not that all bikes will sell that quickly, of course, but they really publicized the bike and got it done) Fast forward to now: I had an unfortunate mishap of my own doing that did some significant damage to the T120's rear wheel and various components. I had it transported to SUB, and just got it back today. They did great, quality work in a very timely manner - the last of the necessary parts arrived on Wednesday, and they called me the next afternoon to let me know that it was finished! The bike rides perfectly now - it's as if nothing bad had ever happened. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Lucretia, Dave, Scott, Eli, and Keno (I may have misspelled that, sorry) are absolutely top-notch, knowledgeable, passionate, friendly, and supportive. Beyond that, they're just great humans in general. If you give them a try, I'm willing to bet you end up feeling the same way that I do.

SUB has serviced my bikes for over 15 years. Old, new, regular service, custom parts install, they’ve done it all for me. They’ve always been transparent, communicative, and done quality work.

This is going to be a long one but I had to take the time to share my experience with Seattle Used Bikes. They went above and beyond what I was expecting! I stopped by back in October since I've never been there but always find myself browsing their website to see if anything cool is for sale and finally decided to take drive and check them out in person. I've been riding for over 20 years. I've got sport bikes, harleys, classic metrics you name it. I just finished building a complete custom Harley from a frame I jigged and welded...so I know my way around bikes. One that I've been looking for is a 2005 GSXR 1000, the legendary K5 (IYKYK). Well I was greeted at the door by Lucretia. She was soooo nice. Gave my wife and I a tour of the entire place, met some of the staff and then she mentioned a bike just came in on consignment...a K5. I was speechless. Anyway, it needed some things done...tires, chain, etc. The offered a GREAT price as it stood or they would go through everything and get it turn key for me for only a little bit more. The price was already way lower than I expected so I opted for them to go through it. I knew it was going to take time but I was in no rush. Here's the great part though. I NEVER reached out to them. Lucretia always texted with updates and sending pictures. Again, she's the BEST! Well I finally picked up the bike recently. They went through everything. New tires, chain, all new fluids, fixed a bunch of wiring under the seat, got the turn signals to flash correctly, new mirrors. I was floored but not actually surprised since when I visited the mechanics in the shop they literally wear lab coats. As someone who spent 20 years in the military, I really appreciated the attention to detail they have. Anyway, I am over the moon happy about this purchase. They could have really jacked up the price given all they did to it and the fact that this bike has TONS of upgrades..two of the biggest being the full titanium Arata exhaust and Carrozzeria wheels. Bottom line, the price was beyond fair, the service was excellent and everyone there made us feel like family. SUB is a gem of a place. I just wish I visited them sooner! The pic below is from the day I picked it up. They detailed it and had it staged there in front of the lights and SUB sign for me. HOW COOL IS THAT!

100% recommend SUB. Had some work done on my Ducati and I have to say it was a great experience from beginning to end. Keno at the service desk asked really great questions and we ended up going with an aftermarket part that was just as good if not better than the overpriced Ducati part. Marty, the Ducati tech did a great job. His attention to detail is top notch and exceeded my expectations. Can't say enough about these guys. They care deeply about motorcycles and motorcyclists, and it shows.

Great place to get your bike fixed up or cleaned !!!! Very happy with the service and how kind this shop is - very welcoming people

Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. I had to get towed in and they were able to see me and fix my bike same day so i could get back out on the road. I will absolutely be coming to them for future motorcycling needs!
Oct 10, 2025 -
Honest and friendly staff. I came to get my throttle grip fixed, and they ended up fixing it for free and found bigger issues related to my fork lift and rear caliper. Super thankful for their proactivity and detailed practices, I can ride safely without worrying later down the road. Thanks again!

Great place and amazing team! I actually reached out to Seattle Used Bikes before I even purchased a motorcycle when I was first looking into listings on Craigslist and OfferUp. As a first-time purchaser, I sent an email to SUB asking about what I should be wary of when purchasing used motorcycles and provided them with listings of what I was interested in. Keno was very helpful in guiding me on which bike to buy based on the listings I sent and was also very transparent and detail-oriented throughout the process, giving me extensive advice while being very timely in his responses which I really appreciated. I ended up purchasing a motorcycle that Keno recommended and brought it in for inspection earlier today. The team was really nice and super accommodating of performing the inspection, even on such short notice during a Saturday. Eli and Lucretia are very kind and approachable, and they provided me with exceptional service, and they made sure to address all my questions and concerns. The Seattle Used Bikes team in general is great, and they are more than happy to address anything on your mind, so I can say with utmost confidence that my motorcycle is in really good hands with them. Whether you're a first-time rider like me or a seasoned veteran, I strongly recommend Seattle Used Bikes.

Keno, in the Service Department is personable, and knowledgeable about motorcycles and scooters. Keno, patiently listened and answered all my questions with genuine interest about replacing the front tire on one of my Vespas. I appreciated being referred to Keno, and for my positive interaction with him, and Seattle Used Bikes.

They provide many needed services. We donate bikes. They repair them and sell them to those for whatever they can afford. No set prices. I think it's a great service

This place is top notch. I recently flew from Denver to purchase a bike from a private party which I would ride back home. I needed a bit of service work done before the 1200 mile trip. These guys got me in quickly, and were very accommodating and knowledgeable. I was out the door quickly and had a great trip home. They definitely get 5 stars from me. Go see them!

I wanted to provide a review for a terrific place to store your motorcycle. Seattle used bikes has two types currently 24x7 access and 8x5 access. You will beco e part of a terrific group of people this where I purchased my BMW and the staff has been terrific and that starts with the boss Dave. I had to call him when I had access errors he was always helpful and got me access and I was on my way. Truly the best place if you need service or an upgrade or storage. Absolutely the best. Have an old Honda XR600R that's been giving me trouble for a while. SUB worked with me to figure out the problem and get it solved once-and-for-all. They took the time to listen and were friendly, helpful, and professional. Highly recommended!!!

This was our first time visiting SUB and we had and an incredibly positive experience! We’ve recently visited a handful of shops and loved the customer experience we received from Landon and Lucretia! They didn’t apply aggressive sales tactics which have been off putting to us at other local shops and hope when they have our dream bike we will be able to buy from them!

This is THE BEST shop. The staff are above and beyond friendly and helpful and wonderful. Lucretia is amazing! As a new rider and a female bodied rider, it can be intimidating to find the right bike and the right gear, but these folx were so wonderful. Even though the one I ended up finding was through a private seller, they performed maintenance and a buyers inspection on it, did a great job, and even taught me some things. I've gotten several pieces of gear from the shop as well, and this will be my go to place for maintenance on all my bikes. TEN STARS!

Landon and the crew at SUB are fantastic, they tirelessly strive to find the perfect bike for their customers. Their unassuming and patient attitude with a new rider make you really want to give them your business. It was also impressive to see the extensive inspection and maintenance process they perform on all the bikes they get in. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone shopping for a used bike.

Used motorcycle clothing (jackets, pants, gloves, boots etc.) at SUB is quality stuff, near new, and well organized. Large stock of items for both men and women. All curated by Lucretia, a knowledgeable and pleasant representative for SUB. I have purchased and consigned gear from her. Always a good experience! Thank you.

I highly recommend SUB for servicing any type of motorcycle. They go through crazy lengths to troubleshoot and fix the issue, while keeping you as informed as if you were part of the crew and actively helping to keep prices affordable. Here's just a few things Keno did during my last repair: 1. Asking to send a video of the issue first, so they can determine if it can be fixed or would need to go to the dealership. 2. Consulting a former co-worker with expertise on the particular ECU fault 3. Asking to find a used replacement part online myself rather than charging for an expensive retail part 4. Free test ride to make sure the issue stayed fixed

This may be bike dependent, but if you own a Ducati, I recommend going elsewhere. The mechanic that used to know these bikes does not work there anymore and I was quoted $1,500 for fork seal and chain replacement recently. I went to Redmond Motorsports and got it done for $550 (plus some minor fixes that were improperly put back by SUB). I'm sure Redmond Motorsports guys have all the specialty Ducati tools and the expertise to make things easier, but every time I went to SUB I felt like I was overcharged. That's unfortunately becoming the bike mechanic industry standard these days, which sucks for the community. There's seemingly not many left, but I'm glad there's still some shops in our area that are clearly passionate about the service they provide and charge fair prices. As for customer service, Dave and team were friendly and upfront with everything, so that was a positive experience.

What a great shop! Really cool bikes and super friendly. Definitely check them out whether you’re an avid rider or a new rider. Their service team is the best in town.

Fantastic business, great people. Cool and interesting bikes for sale, secure bike storage, great mechanics, well curated gear consignment. I've bought from them, consigned with them, had bikes in for repair and every experience has been top notch. This is my favorite motorcycle shop in the region by a long shot!

I have bought a Moto Guzzi motorcycle, as well as countless motorcycle parts from SUB, and it has all been a wonderful experience. Jacques is very helpful and nice to chat with on the sales floor, and was able to answer all the questions about the bike I was going to purchase. I appreciated his insight about owning types of motorcycles I had never owned before, and the buying process was very easy, clear cut, and straightforward. Kevin has been extremely helpful in my search for parts for my bikes. He has helped me find unusual and limited availability parts, and helped me run through the warranty process for parts with manufacturing defects. I had a mechanical concern with the used bike I purchased here, and they were quick to remedy that problem even with a used bike sale. I will continue to be a customer at SUB as long as I ride! Great folks to do business with!

We bought two Ducati motorcycles from Dave @ Seattle Used Bikes. Great team. Great service. Unique bikes. We highly recommend.

I worked with SUB to sell my 2020 Z900 and the process was flawless. They inspected, detailed and listed the bike within a day or two of getting it to them and within a month, it was sold at asking price. Very reasonable cost and would absolutely sell and buy with them again.

I am very impressed with Seattle Used Bikes. They have been the only shop I've taken my two bikes to, as I have had no reason to go anywhere else. Their prices are very reasonable, their staff are very friendly and informative, and they've always finished the work within one or two days (granted the work I've requested has been rather minimal). Robert, in the service department, is always willing to share his knowledge and opinion on things. I would highly recommend SUB to anyone looking for friendly, fast, and honest, quality service. Well done, guys!

SUB is both a great used motorcycle dealership and a really good service department. I started going to them a while ago after a friend who I trust, said that he knew the owner and it was an honest shop with skilled mechanics. He wasn’t wrong. Dave is a nice guy who runs a straight shop. Also the dudes running the service department are awesome. They get it and are easy to deal with. It is the absolute opposite of what you get at a big money corporate dealership: No hard sells, honest labor rates for jobs, good communication. As long as SUB is around, I will continue to go to them for the select jobs that I am unable (valve adjustments), or unwilling (mounting tires) to do myself.

3 stars because Dave is a good guy who strikes fair deals for used gear and bikes. Has no idea how to run a repair shop though, and his lead mechanic hides in the back telling himself ghost stories about dielectric grease... I brought in an older honda single cylinder to have the head gasket replaced last winter. Should have been a routine job. After the work was completed, the bike developed a misfire ONLY when the headlight was on. I knew that nothing else on the bike had changed beside the work that was done, and fueling was unchanged, so the problem had to be electrical. Brought the bike back in to look at electrical issues with explicit instructions. To my shock, they decided to tear apart the carb instead. Symptoms were unchanged after this and instead I received 3 incorrect guesses: battery, ignition coil, and dirty connections. The battery was replaced but was not part of the ignition circuit on this bike so it couldn't have been the problem, ignition coil was replaced to no effect, and the connections were similarly inspected despite the majority being untouched by the work. So, I brought the bike home and began troubleshooting myself, until identifying the misfire only occurred when current was flowing through the headlight coil, one of three AC coils on the stator. The only components that could be the culprit based on this would be the flywheel or stator. Upon pulling the left side cover, I found a film of iron powder covering the permanent magnets on the flywheel! I know this was not present before the head gasket job as the cover had recently been removed in order to replace its gasket. Unfortunately I did not have a flywheel puller to investigate the backside of the flywheel, but the presence of iron certainly could have affected the electromagnetic field common to the flywheel and the 3 stator coils. I also found iron shavings in the filter screen. I know that a cylinder stud had to be drilled out while replacing the head gasket, and this is the only logical source for the introduction of these iron shavings into the motor. Unfortunately I didn't have the time to experiment with replacing the flywheel or stator, but did prove that a lower current draw from the headlight partially alleviated the issue. So while SUB was initially responsive to my problems, there was consistent avoidance of my explicit requests, incorrect hypotheses, and when things didn't work out, cursing and childishness. If you're going to work on used bikes, you've got to handle things better when it goes wrong.
