Had a great experience getting my car serviced here! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Jules took the time to explain the work and the costs clearly, and did a great job with the repairs. Highly recommend!

Some people at this place seem knowledgeable. But overall they are not helpful or some are even hostile. If you have a BMW, I recommend BMW Collision Center Northwest in Tacoma. Note that this review is based on service not rendered. I went to Metro Auto Rebuild because they are the partner collision center for BMW Seattle. I came to the shop trying to do an estimate for insurance, because the previous auto shop (Caliber Collision Ballard - 1 star) messed up my car and insurance asked me to find a different shop. My first interaction was with Eric and it was borderline hostile and super not helpful. Eric REFUSED to look at the car and just kept saying things that conflict himself in a loud voice. For one, he said I have to take the car back to previous shop because they don’t know what’s been done - I said that I have the record of this and I explained that I had returned 5 time and don’t think the previous shop is capable. For two, he said that they may need to quote the whole side of the car to be re-done and that will cost me a lot - to which I said up front the this is a quote for insurance, so why do you care if it’s expensive? Also I clearly said that the collision is on the rear door, why would you put front door in the quote? It was clear that he was not listening to anything I was saying, and just want to MANSPLAIN how this can’t be done, while the reason it can’t be done was because of his own limitation in knowledge and/or ability. Then I requested to speak to Medhanie, who on the contrast was very nice and knowledgable. He looked at my car and immediately pointed out several things that the previous shop did wrong, and explained to me patiently how some things should be repaired, which I appreciated. He also reached out to insurance requesting record from the previous shop. But then this is the end of my interaction. They just disappeared. I followed up a couple of time via email or call but nothing, not even a “sorry we cannot take your car for repair”.

Metro autorebuild repaired my car after it was rear ended at a Stop light. They kept me abreast of the progress and worked directly with the driver's insurance company.

Aaron and the team at Metro Auto Rebuild are top notch. Communication, attention to detail and readiness to assist in any way possible is rare to find this day and age. As a business owner, I have brought three cars to MAB and every time the work was done ahead of schedule and communication was seamless. I will continue to come back to this business for all my future body work needs. I just can’t say enough good things about them.

I had an excellent experience at Metro Auto Rebuild, largely thanks to Jules! Even with the vehicle being a total loss, Jules made the entire process incredibly simple and cooperative. Their helpfulness was truly creditable, and their professionalism was outstanding. I highly recommend Metro Auto Rebuild and especially Jules for their superb service. They are a professional and wonderful team! Solomon.

My new Tesla was scuffed by another car and I sent it here for repair. The process was seamless. The staff communicated effectively with my insurance company, and my car was repaired within 2 weeks and looking brand new again!

Very thorough, took lots of photos, explained everything. Unfortunately their estimate was 4 times what the competition came up with, and he said that since insurers often don't pay their shop rate of $150/hr, he might have to extra-bill me. We went with the competition.

I rarely leave reviews but had to for Metro. They were communicative, kind, and supportive even through the frustrations dealing with insurance. When insurance refused to pay, they ate the last cost and released my vehicle. I hope I never have a reason to come back, but if I do I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thanks especially to Aaron for making sure I had a good experience.

Tesla Model S - Couldn't be happier with the results.. I was hit while parked and needed to have the care repaired by PEMCO the insurance company of the person who hit it. The whole thing went smoothly I assumed a lengthy wait for things like parts etc.. but since I Had a rental meh didn't really stress on it. Took it in on the 28th of January and was ready to pick up on the 15th of February and I consider myself lucky ;) The work performed was excellent and I'm loving the car again. Thanks Metro Auto rebuild for the free coffee and customer service.

I'm grateful Metro Auto Rebuild was able to get my 2020 Tesla Y in to the shop the day after the rear-end accident for safe secure storage while insurance and estimates for repair were evaluated. Enterprise was even able to deliver my car rental straight to the shop. I appreciate all the kind and helpful communication from Medhanie and the reception team. Unfortunately, the insurance claim settled as a loss. Metro handled the final bill with the insurance company. I recommend this Tesla certified shop.

Metro Auto Rebuild provided an estimate that was significantly overpriced compared to other vicinity collision shops. They claimed to use genuine original car parts but couldn’t guarantee it, raising doubts about authenticity. Despite this, they charged premium prices for “real” original parts. Overall, the transparency of estimate was good but inflated costs were disappointing. This place is designed to cater ultra rich only. Had very high hopes but Genuinely disappointed.

My car was broken into, I called BMW and they recommended this place for repair. I came in and spoke with one of the estimators there, they assessed my car and provided me a quote right away. Communication with them was responsive and excellent. The repair was done flawlessly. Could not have had a better experience. A+

I couldn’t be happier with the service I received at Metro Auto Rebuild. After an unfortunate accident, my Honda Pilot needed extensive repairs, and they truly went above and beyond. The staff was welcoming and professional, especially Sean, clearly explaining the repair process and timeline. The quality of the repairs was outstanding—my Pilot looks like new again! I also appreciated the attention to detail and the fact that they worked with my insurance, making the whole experience hassle-free. I highly recommend Metro Auto Rebuild to anyone looking for top-notch, reliable auto repair services. Thank you for restoring my car to perfection!

No one likes to get their car messed up but you can't find a more trustworthy shop than this one. They truly love cars and are committed to honest service and doing a good job. Ask for Sean, he won't steer you wrong.

Have my 2023 tesla model Y done here and this will be the first and last time experience, stop wasting your time here because they never care, all they care about is money money up front, highly not recommended due to the lack of customer cares and very poor customer services, never call you for an updates of the repair and payment process, always blame on the insurance for not paying them even though the insurance already paid them, keep adding and submitting supplemental estimates and increase final bill to insurance because they said they have to wait for parts from Tesla and bring the car to Tesla to reset service light that doesnt even list on the supplemental estimate. It take them 2 months to fix a little scratch without giving us the updates on the repair and estimate when it gonna be done. We ended up have to pay them up front to pick up the car while waiting for the insurance final payment that already been sent out to them more than 10 business days ago, and now they said that they cant reimburse the money after 2 more weeks once they recieved the payment. Dont waste your time and money here, highly NOT recommended.
Sep 20, 2024 -
The entire repair process was smooth. Metro Auto contacted my insurance company for the estimate supplement and payment, so I didn't need to get involved. However, the waiting time to drop off my car was long, and the repair time was also lengthy. I'm giving 5 stars because my car is in very good condition after the repair. Thank you!
Sep 17, 2024 -
They did good work, but communication was poor. As a high end body shop, I expected high level customer service. Any update from them at any point would have been awesome. However, if I needed or wanted an update, it was up to me to contact them. If their policy was to update their customers even once a week, they’d have scored way higher with me. My car was there for 43 days. Not once in that time did they try to communicate with me about the timeliness of the repair. I understand that there are processes they have to go through with insurance, but no communication at all, left me feeling like they didn’t care.

Metro Auto Rebuild repaired the body of a BMW X1 that had been involved in a collision. The car was returned to us in excellent condition, as if nothing had damaged the vehicle. The total time to repair the vehicle was slightly over twice the original timeline promised when we dropped off the car. While this extended the time we needed to rent a car, Metro Auto Rebuild had many vehicles to service, and they did not cut any corners on our vehicle. When confronted about the overall timeline for our vehicle against what was originally suggested, the manager (Sean) agreed to discount labor costs to compensate for the additional cost of renting a car. Sean was more than equitable compared to what I would have considered fair. It's always frustrating and expensive to fix a car, but the team at Metro Auto Rebuild was very professional and did great work.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Aaron from Metro Auto Rebuild, and I can't say enough good things about my experience. Aaron assisted me with my claim and was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. He took the time to thoroughly explain everything to me, ensuring I understood each step. His dedication and attention to detail went above and beyond anyone’s expectations. I highly recommend Metro Auto Rebuild, especially if you have the opportunity to work with Aaron. His exceptional service truly made a difference!

*UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES* *POOR COMMUNICATION* I scheduled an appointment to have my Mercedes EQS repaired 2 months out which was the 1st available appointment. They reviewed the estimate, confirmed the parts needed prior to my appointment. When I dropped off my car, I was told I would get a call within 1 week which did not happen so I called to get an update. I was told, they may not be able to work on my car because they "ARE NOT CERTIFIED BY MERCEDES." The technician said he would know by the end of the day and he would call me back, which did not happen once again. 2 days later, I had to call back and was told he was not in and my only option was to leave a message for the person who was working that day. Another day went by and I finally got a call back saying, the are not able to work on my car and I would need to come pick it up and take it to a shop that is certified by Mercedes. After wasting months of my time, they told me I needed to pay them $200 for their time spent on the car. They showed no regard for the time wasted, lack of communication and poor procedures.

Having just worked with Metro Auto Rebuild on my car, I highly recommend you go anywhere else. Quality of work: 3/5 (they did what they said they would do) Timeliness: 0/5 (it took over a month when they said a little over a week) Cost: 0/5 (they went $1000 over my estimate despite having things in the estimate that did not apply to me) So, back in the winter, I hit a concrete post, taking out a small part of my bumper. I wouldn’t have even gotten it fixed, but my the wiper fluid container was affected, and my dealership said they wouldn’t touch it until the body work was done. So I got a recommendation for Metro Auto Rebuild. I went for an estimate on February 29th. I opted not to go through insurance since I thought it was a small job, and it would make the process move faster. They gave me an estimate which included a lot of money in case they needed to move the car to the dealership to work on any sensors (the sensors were all fine) and gave me a date of April 9th to be able to drop the car off. They were busy, they said, so I needed to wait that long before they could fit me in. I figured since I was waiting that long, maybe that meant they would be a bit more efficient with getting my car in and out, especially since the work they needed to do was relatively minor. I dropped the car off on April 9th, and asked how long the repairs would take. I got back a shrug. I asked “a week?” They said “a week or maybe a little longer.” 1 month later After dozens of emails and phone calls asking for updates on my car, and hundreds of dollars spent on Lyft when my partner and I couldn’t arrange sharing her car, re-iterating that it was more important to be less expensive and faster, I was finally able to pick up my car. It looked fine. And it was $1000 above my estimate, with no explanation offered for why it cost so much more (my sensors were fine). This is despite me telling them to try and make things as cheap as possible, and as quickly as possible. So clearly they are much too busy, and they don’t need your extra business. Go elsewhere, please.

They did an excellent job at rebuilding a Model S after a collision, including a suspension rebuild. Yes the wait times are long, but there is nothing the shop can do about part shortages. The shop kept me up to date on the progress at all times. Whenever the time was on their side (inspection, ordering, repairing, painting) they finished it quickly. They did a perfect job at paint matching (Pearl White) and even convinced the insurance company to pay for re-wrapping which I was not expecting.

Metro Auto Rebuild is a great shop. My car was there from 12/4 - 3/4, but this was due to part shortages and dealing with insurance. Metro Auto had my back from day one. They worked with the insurance company on my behalf to ensure the highest quality repair was performed. They worked directly with mercedes to get parts. And when Geico pulled out of my rental car and gave me less than 1 day to find a plan B, they helped me out to secure a loaner. The team was professional, knowledgeable and the work on my car was top teir. I hope I never get into an accident again, but if I did, I wouldn't hesitate to call them. They have my utmost respect.

This place was the worst body shop experience I've ever had. I own a Tesla and there are limited places to choose from that are "authorized" Tesla repair locations. It was a ~3 month wait to get going on the repairs, but I called around and that was par for the course. When they finally got me in, it was bad service after bad service. They quoted me ~$2k and I was going to pay out of pocket for the damage. The minute they took my car apart the estimate doubled. When I got my car back it was 3x more expensive than the original quote. Pretty easy to pull bait and switch tactics when your client has limited options. In my opinion the price going up and long wait time to get in can be justified...The worst part is the were horrible about calling me back and giving me any updates and they kept my car for repairs for 6 weeks. I ran out of rental coverage they took so long. I would advise to avoid this place at all costs.

I highly recommend Metro Auto Repair if you have a Tesla that needs body work, replacement bumpers, Paint work and Dent removal on any high end vehicle as my experience was the best I could've asked for. I Had my 2016 Tesla Model X Fixed up by them. Upfront I was given time windows for how long it would take them to get parts, Once My car was in the shop I got an update that it was going into paint since they replaced my rear bumper and fixed rear quarter panel damage. The paint match was perfect and I was surprised to see it come in under budget as I paid out of pocket so I appreciate that I wasn't squeezed for more money and the job came in under the cost I was quoted, in this world every little bit helps. If I could give the crew at Metro Auto Rebuild 10 stars, I would! My 2021 BMW 530i got hit on the right fender, which not only caused the physical damage, but she had some pretty significant brain damage as well. I got her back today, and the repairs are impeccable. The staff was patient, kind, understanding, and communicative. No detail was left unaddressed. I hope I don’t need them again, but if I do, I wouldn’t hesitate to use them. If you’re on the fence about who to trust your baby to, choose Metro!

I will say they appear to have done good work, and the estimator was kind during the appraisal. The front desk was generally unpleasant and unhelpful. The main reason for the rating is incredibly poor communication and lack of updates. I understand the time for repair is an estimate. By the end of the 18 initially quoted days, I made 2 phone calls and sent a respectful email before I received a response saying there were delays. To be fair, it was the holidays and there was some snow. I can give them the benefit of the doubt and say they experienced supply chain issues as a result of the pandemic. I asked for some estimate of time to complete as I needed to make alternate arrangements (no loaner car, this was one month after dropping off). I ended up making alternative arrangements (that cost me $800) without waiting to hear back. Did not receive updates with any sense of timing until one month later, and then received two updates about two weeks apart. In the end, the work took well over 3 months for work that was estimated at 18 days. I understand the policy to only allow a certain amount charged to a credit card to avoid fees on their end, but given I was patient for 3 months, never unpleasant with them, and they didn't give me a loaner or rides to and from their shop, I would have appreciated them being willing to flex on that policy.

Horrible experience with Sean. These bandits did everything to harass me so they can rip me off. Transparency is something considered as a crime by these guys. DO NOT USE THIS AUTO BODY SHOP FOR ANY REASON. Their estimates and actual invoices are always surprising without one’s authorization. I have noticed that it’s not only my personal experience. Other customers have also similar experiences. My review is not gonna stop here. I am gonna take my experience to all 73 major listings and I would recommend everyone having similar experience to do so. BBB and Attorney General’s office is a must. During my entire experience I noticed that Sean who probably is the owner was personally involved in miscommunications of the facts.

Metro Auto Rebuild was great! They were referred to me by Seattle BMW, and they defiantly went above and beyond my expectations. Sean was able to fit me in right away, the work was done quickly and the quality was excellent. They were even kind enough to shuttle me where ever I needed to go. I even got a chance to meet the owner Doug who seemed like a great family man, he was even there helping out a week after shoulder surgery! The office gals were awesome as well, they always had great communication with me so I felt at ease about everything. When I got my car back it was sparkling clean and looked brand new, they even vacuumed and cleaned the interior (which let me tell you was pretty messy.) To say the least they make a great team and defiantly do great work. This is for sure the place to go.
