I took my 2023 Kia Niro in for a door collision after I hit the edge of a garage ramp median. Nervous and stressed about my first collision ever, the staff at Carstar Ballard were communicative and reassuring throughout the entire process. It took a month between dropping off the car and then fixing and repainting the car after getting the new parts. I had multiple notifications of progress each week. I was met with smiles and humor on pickup, and when I noticed a rear light out on my car with no notification due to a loose wire, there were able to get me back in ASAP and fix the issue in less then 20 minutes. Thank you to the whole team and for the 5-star customer service from front desk.

I cannot recommend this shop. USAA towed my car here after it was damaged when hitting a pothole. Their lot in unsecured, not monitored, no security and no working cameras. In an area with high crime, high transient activity, it is not a place I would feel safe leaving my car. As it turns out, my car was burglarized and cleaned out. They didn't seem to give a crap about me or what happened. I had the car towed somewhere else anyway.

Our vehicle was hit while parked in our driveway, and the other driver’s insurance recommended this body shop. The car was towed there on a Monday, and we were told we would be contacted once it arrived. When I called Tuesday afternoon, the shop said they did not have the car. After contacting the tow company, they confirmed delivery. When I called the shop again, they then located the vehicle. Throughout the repair process, I had to call weekly for updates, and the shop was often difficult to reach. After approximately three weeks, I was told the car would be ready later that week (Wednesday or Friday, depending on calibration). When I called on Thursday, I was told the car had been ready since the day before. When we arrived to pick up the vehicle, a weather strip was visibly hanging off the rear wheel well. The shop said the part would need to be ordered. There were also remaining dents and scratches on the vehicle; only the bumper and rear hatch had been repaired. At pickup, the vehicle required a jump start. The following day, the battery was completely dead again. At that point, I took the car to our local dealership service center because I did not feel it was safe to drive. The dealership was unable to perform calibration because the blind spot monitoring module had been removed and was completely missing when the bumper was reinstalled. The dealership replaced the battery, installed the missing blind spot module, and repaired the rear hatch, which was not functioning properly. We are still waiting for the body shop to receive the weather strip. After that repair, we plan to take the car to a different body shop to address the remaining dents and scratches. Based on our experience, the repairs were incomplete and required correction by another service center.

I brought my car straight from the accident scene and within an hour, they already had written my estimate. The projected timeline for getting my car back was going to be slightly over a month, but they finished it early and i had it back in 3 weeks. Every interaction I had with every staff member was very friendly, professional, and helpful. I've never had such a positive experience with a collision shop, and they helped relieve some of the trauma from my accident by taking added stress off my plate. Thanks, everyone! My car looks amazing.

Carstar repaired our minor car body damage to brand new condition with a perfect paint job on top. The staff did some extra touchup that were not related to the insurance claim without charge. They sent updates on repair status via text and were very easy to talk to. I recommend using this shop.

They did a fantastic job on repairing our car!! We have used them twice so far. The service, responsiveness, and assisting us with our rental car (and working with our insurance), as well as updates while the car was with them was simply the best!!! Even my insurance brokers highly recommends them. The only place to go if your car needs repairs CarStar!!

My car suffered a hit and run over the holidays and CARSTAR was one of the only auto shops in the area with capacity. David kept me informed with calls and texts every step of the way and ended up finishing repairs on my car several days early which was amazing. I would definitely recommend this shop!

Very happy with the body work I got done here. My car needed two new doors after a vandalism incident. I appreciated their quick email responses and flexibility when setting up the repair, Shannon helped me out quite a bit. The repair itself looks brand new, and was completed in less than the quoted time frame. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful; I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend CARSTAR to a friend. Photos show before and after (don’t mind the difference in lighting, or the bushes reflected in the after photo- the car was sparkling clean when I picked it up, and the inside came back to me much cleaner than I left it!)

Ballard Collision CARSTAR replaced my 2007 Toyota Sienna's front bumper after a vehicle backed into it. From start to finish, their professionalism carried through every part of the process, from the initial assessment, scheduling, repair, and delivery. Their effort to communicate updates during the work was appreciated, and I am delighted with the results.

They did great work on the outside of my truck to fix it, but they forgot to paint the inside of the door. They asked me to wait on the survey, and come back and they would fix it and pay for a rental car. They promised to take care of everything 100%. I came back and they did fix it and it looked great but they ended up having my cc charged for the rental. I called them and asked them to fix it, they promised to and did not.

Overall this was a terrible experience. Below is an account of our experience Customer Service problems - front desk was not customer-focused and rude on several occasions. Several times they lied about getting the manager and just passed the phone to an adjuster. How do I know this; they passed the phone to our adjuster and he tried to pass as the manager. We received several digital updates that were wrong every single time - thus this created confusion throughout the entire process. The original inspection date set by All-State and CarSTAR was incorrect. We were told that that part of the digital process never works and it is always wrong. I asked why do you still use it and they said "well, we just do". The original 2-3 week time frame quoted by the shop was incorrect and there was no communication why it changed. We also kept receiving updates that our car was going to be done (through the digital update system that never works) - it was wrong every time. Repairs ended up taking 41 days, not including the original review of the car. Our original accident was on 4/07 we had an original appointment on 4/14, but was rescheduled to 4/25 and finally took the car in for repairs on 5/19. We finally received the car on 4/29. Service (Car Repair) - The workmanship is poor as well. Our door does not line up correctly (it is not installed correctly; spots that are scratched and not repaired correctly; repaired spots are done poorly. We were told told that the shop guarantees their work, but when I sent an email to them they did not respond to our complaints about the work. Check out the attached picture.
