Doesn’t do the job correctly I paid him twice to do still having same issue. Overpriced and doesn’t stand behind his work. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
Went here to get my car trunk done. Took a a hour of waiting, they were working on another woman car and so total time i was there was 2 hours. They charged me with 100$ for there “2 hour” of working when they in fact didn’t even work on it for a hour. They were never clear about pricing, and didnt even fix my trunk problem. Don’t come here if your not sturn on what you need done.
My car's windshield wiper stopped working under heavy rain and I went here because it was the nearest repair shop , but he didn't even bother to take a look and said he didn't have time and didn't help me in a dangerous situation to drive.
Dui is amazing. He takes great care of all of our cars and he's a joy to work with. Honest, knowledgeable, friendly, and fast. If he can't do something (rare) he knows exactly where to send you. Can't recommend this place enough!
Excellent service for a very fair price. Great customer service and great results. New Southwest's price was 40% less than the dealer and equal or better results. Their lot is secured (protected by a tall fence with a locking gate). I will return.
I have trusted new southwest auto with my 2001 Jeep for 4 years now. Owner, Duy, is always there to help me with what ever issues I have. Great honest mechanic! My daughters car unexpectedly broke down near the shop, they got us right in and fixed everything for a very fair and reasonable price!
Came in with my subie and fixed my issue within a hour. Very fast and knowledgeable guys and very honest. Also called me to show me some other issues which I wasn’t aware of and good pricing. Will definitely be coming back with any other work needed.

The Asian who works there so rude . I asked to estimated to replace spark plugs . He acting very rude. He samsh my car when I told the fee for the replacement . I don't recommend the anyone to go the there .
Not much to say that other people haven't. Duy is awesome! He's a great mechanic and about as nice of a guy as they come. I've been taking my pick-up there for about 10 years now. Some highlights include:
Not replacing things that don't need replaced - I took my truck there once and said, "Will you please tune this up?" When I came to get it the bill was about $100 less than he'd quoted. "Why is this so low?" "Oh, when we got in there it looks like we replaced the xyz the last time, so it was still good."
Offering alternatives - When my seat belt didn't work anymore he said, "If I do this for you, I have to get the part from a dealer and it's going to be about $800. If you can find the part, I can put it in for you for about $100." A friend of mine helped me locate it on Amazon from a seller for about $100. Six hundred dollars saved.
Going above and beyond to help - I came out to discover that someone had tried to steal my car - ugh. There was no way I was getting it started with the mangled ignition. Duy knows that I live really close so he sent one of his guys over to my house to see if he could get it started and get it to the shop. When he couldn't, Duy arranged for a tow to come get me. Then called salvage yards to locate a used steering column to save me a lot of cash.
Dog lover - Yes. He has 'guard dogs'. I know that some people take issue with this, but those dogs are greatly loved, have a nice run behind the shop, and get more attention and better food than a lot of dogs I know that live inside. When they had puppies, he gave me one...who is now a 75lb ball of whirling joy and curiosity, that tries to drag me into the shop to see him every time we walk by.
Overall, this is an A++ place. Great people and service.
Eric the owner of this shop is probably one of the most HONEST mechanics that I have ever met. He tells you the truth and will charge you what he said.... NONE OF THAT.. "We had to also do this.. that'll be an extra $139.00" !!! I HIGHLY recommend him, my entire family goes to him now.
I had a major problem with them leaving their "guard dog" out all night long in the cold of Seattle. The dog seemed friendly and showed no signs of hostility but, the poor animal was left out, pawing at the fence with signs reading "Beware of Dog".
The owner kindly took a look at my issue and resolved it, free of charge, within minutes. It wasn't my first positive experience with New Southwest Auto Repair, and it's safe to assume it won't be my last. Thanks again!
I had 2 mechanics before I went here and so far I’ve been bringing in my Chevy Silverado (2000 1500 v8) in full faith to this shop, great knowledge and great respect for customers so definitely the people’s choice id say for this business. Definitely recommended
They gave me a drop in flexible appointment for what I needed right away.
It was worked on it in a short amount of time and did a great job.
They were so fair with the cost charged, I was amazed.

The experiences I've had have always been good. No damage to my car as others have complained about, and they always find a way to fit you in and keep their prices fair. Interesting that one guy says "acting as if he doesn't understand English"....but most likely the guy was talking so fast or using phrases that simply didn't make sense enough for Duy or his workers to gain context from, plus one of his workers does appear to have a slight hearing issue. Speak patiently and clearly and you'll get great service. Or try learning Vietnamese and don't "pretend you don't understand it."
FAIR WARNING: make sure to take pictures of your vehicles BEFORE you take it to this place!! Luckily I took pictures of my jeep before bringing it into this dump (from the outside it looks like a low key chop shop and the service fits the appearance). So when they did over $500 in damage to the front of my car from dropping heavy parts and scratching up paint, I had something to show the insurance company to go after this scam artist.
Pros: cheap work
Cons: they damaged my girlfriends paint while installing a new water pump and radiator. It was obviously new damage and quite significant. He REFUSED to acknowledge it and kept pointing to the work he did. Acting like he didn't understand English. Then tried pointing to another existing scuff on the wheel arch and tried saying oh what did we do that too? Like I'm an idiot, no, we knew that existed and we had pictures of the car taken literally a few days before... no damage to hood. He will be hearing from a lawyer soon.
DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE TIME OR MONEY I SAVED. I COULD HAVE DONE IT MYSELF BUT WAS BEING LAZY!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!
You want honest, reliable, and best bang for your buck!? This is the place. I've been coming here for the last 10 years. Duy (pronounce Do-e) is honest and will recommend repairs or maintenance, but will never pressure you. Even if you bring the car in thinking that there is a problem, he'll take a look at it, and if that wasn't the case he'll tell you. They get a little back up, so it is best to bring your car in, and leave it for the day. This place is usually cheaper by at 20-35%. Had a timing belt and water pump done for a 2004 sienna: $600, dealer and other places wanted $1000+.
