This is easily the best experience I've had with a mechanic and a shop's staff in general. I live in Anacortes, but am going to try to come here when I need work done in the future! Can't recommend enough.

I’ve found my new mechanic! David is truly fantastic, and I could not recommend him more highly. My fellow women know that it is all too common to be taken advantage of in the auto world. I recently took my car to another mechanic for regular service and diagnostics and was presented with outrageous and overly priced suggested repairs. Not too long after, my low beam light went out and needed to be replaced. I wouldn’t go back there and was determined to replace it myself, but that didn’t work out either. That’s when I found David. He is fantastic, warm, kind, funny, and very personable. He offered me phenomenal and fair service, without an appointment, replacing my light, even telling me what he was doing each next step. He didn’t charge me for the labor, especially when it would have been totally fair to. He even refilled my window washer fluid and checked my oil without me even asking or expecting that of him. And when I told him I needed new tires, he took the time to talk me through what I would need, and why, and I so appreciated that. I will 100% be going back to David if it means continuing to get incomparable service from someone with so much integrity who will treat me as a human, and not as a woman who could be taken advantage of financially. Thank you so much, David! Very grateful.

Great service, great people, very reasonably priced. I had an oil change on my Volkswagen by My Mechanic about six weeks ago. This morning my light came on saying to add oil. I gave My Mechanic a call, they told me to come in same day, spent close to two hours figuring out what the issue was, resolved it, and didn’t charge me a penny.

Was recommended to this shop by D&D brakes across the street and was beyond satisfied with my experience. Took my Honda Accord to this shop for a transmission service and to inspect a “leak” in my power steering fluid another shop claimed to find. Paid 187 for the service, a full inspection, and a replacement to a O-distributer ring that was leaky and affecting my transmission. Job was done in about 2 hours! I have visited 2 major popular mechanics in downtown Seattle and U district, both of which were quoting me thousands of dollars of work for repairs I’ve had done in the past 2-3 years that they could not “verify” due to it not being updated on the carfax (Michigan autoshops don’t often upload their work to carfax!). David and his team did a complimentary inspection and affirmed that nothing was wrong with my vehicle that I was being told by a different shop was present, and well as some assistance with timeline on my transmission. Will be bringing my car here from now on for honest accurate pricing and quality repairs.

These guys are great at what they do. I have a 96 Chevy impala ss, and the work they did on it was superb. Ty Dan and crew. I will definitely be a repeat customer, I luv great work and better professionalism. All the details were explained in my final bill and sent it to me thru my email Addy.

David is honest, knowledgeable, kind, and fair! Best mechanic I've ever had. On multiple occasions he's given me multiple options on how to handle a situation (quick & cheap fix that may not last, mid price fix that will take a while to complete, OEM that will be pricy but perfect). I will take all of my vehicles to David for as long as I am in Seattle.

I’ve taken my Subaru here a few times, and every time they’ve done a great job. They are thorough and great at explaining to me what’s going on like I’m 5 but without making me feel stupid. Their prices are very reasonable and billing is very clear.

Finding an honest mechanic is almost as difficult as finding a needle in a haystack! I have had my current car since 2006, brand new- Subaru Forester/ 4 door. To be fair , many of my car issues over the years have been outright weird... for a well maintained car. I have since found out that Subaru had " issues" with their 2006 Foresters. If my car hadn't been given to me by my father who had passed away, I would have gotten rid of this Subaru and gone with Toyota.. years ago. But, due to wise advice I have kept it and simply fixed the problems. I think I have had everything conceivably replaced or repaired since 2006. During this time I have hopped around to all kinds of mechanics from Seattle, Kirkland, Oahu, Bothell, Lake Forest Park back to Seattle, growing more and more discouraged with dishonest- incompetent ..over charging mechanics. I finally took it to the Dealer thinking their service department would at least be competent.... WRONG!! Especially the dealer I bought my Subaru from... they are overpriced and extremely dishonest!! One of my local Chevron dealers were able to fix one issue relatively inexpensively but, their service providers all charge differently and with unreasonable pricing. I recently was told by them that I had a strut leaking and I needed 2 even though only 1 was leaking... Their estimate was highly unreasonable so, I went shopping on google once again for a new mechanic... Alas!! My Mechanic was literally found! Great reviews and close by. I first spoke with Adam over the phone and he was so kind and mentioned - "IF I had one strut that was leaking, I didn't need 2!! " Go figure... He mentioned he would check out my car first and let me know exactly along with an estimate. I was impressed with the response and scheduled. I had to schedule out a week and take it in really early; before 8AM... But, I'm glad I did!! I met the Owner, David Deangelo- also very nice- experienced- informative and helpful!! I think I have finally found a good mechanic for my car to continue providing the best care for her!! Thank you My Mechanic!! Your customer for life...

I was brought here by a couple that were buying my used car and was so impressed with the service! They gave my car a total look-over, took it for a drive, and were very thorough. The staff was all very friendly. I interacted with three of them and they were all fantastic. Definitely going to switch and have them be my mechanic (aptly named) from now on!

Great experience. Went on for a tune up and was e-mailed a detailed list of assessments, recommendations, and prices. The work was timely. The price was fair and affordable. David was so nice. It felt like a small town interaction in the city. Highly recommend.

My Mechanic was recommended by another business, and at first I almost disregarded the place bc they were booked for almost a month. Instead I waited and set an appointment in advance and I'm very glad I did. David was kind, patient, knowledgeable, and most importantly he didn't talk down to you. He explained the fixes he did and he was upfront about the costs. I expected to leave my car for a few days, but David had it ready that evening. When I started my car and drove it home I was shocked. My car ran better than it has in at least three years. Unfortunately I'm moving otherwise I would bring my car to David for everything. Cannot recommend this shop enough, but schedule ahead if you can.

Office owner and Brandon are both super nice and friendly. I stopped in their office in rain with a piece of rubber underneath my car drops off on ground on one side, Brandon helped to fix it, and checked every fluid and made sure my car is in a good condition to go. He also recommended good place for burger. I feel very welcomed and love the people in this place. Highly recommend to people in Seattle.

The best the best THE BEST mechanic(s) that exist live at My Mechanic Automotive Seattle. They are kind, honest, competitive, and we all know the general reputation of mechanics, especially when it comes to women. This man and his team have not ever let me down, and I hope they never change or go away. Small businesses are important, and I will send anyone and everyone to this spot who will listen. Thank you all for being so fantastic and earning my trust.

We only worked with Dave a couple of times so far, but he surely has earned our trust. We have been trying out different mechanic shops in Seattle for more than a year, but no other place makes us feel more comfortable handing over our cars. Dave has always been honest and transparent about what needs to be fixed and what can wait. He talks straight, gets the job done well, with a reasonable price and no hidden fees. I'd recommend Dave to anyone who's looking for a reliable mechanic for their vehicles.

Fantastic group to work with! I have used My Mechanic a few times now and I have been nothing but impressed with the customer service and quality of work done on my car. Services are reasonably priced and the front staff and mechanics are super nice. David is very knowledgeable and has been able to accurately diagnose my car problems based on his past experience and functioning knowledge of the systems. The parking lot is a bit small and can be difficult to park in, but it's worth the service you get!

Reasonable pricing. So far so good. My truck is running much better. I tried to contact them by phone and was left without a response for quite a while which was upsetting. I feel the hours I was charged for labor we're right on target. Very pleased to not be given the run-around with additional labor charges after my initial quote.

This is a great shop to fix your car. I had to replace my ABS break actuator, for which I was quoted thousands at my car's dealership. Instead, I bought the part myself online and Mr. D'Angelo and his team replaced it for a very reasonable price. Moreover you can tell that he treats all his customers with respect and creates a very friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend this shop.

I have been going to Dave for decades and he does great work! He will honestly tell you what work needs to be done now and what can wait until later. For instance, Honda of Seattle identified thousands of dollars of work that needed immediate attention the last time I took my car to them for a recall. I immediately went to Dave and he identified the work that should be addressed right away for only a few hundred dollars. I have a 20 year old Honda Civic and Dave has been caring for my vehicle this whole time with no issues and at fraction of the cost of the dealership.

David is the best mechanic in Seattle that I've found. I brought my Ford Focus to him for its 100,000 mile service and his price was half that of the dealer. He was incredibly knowledgeable on the car and told me about some important recalls that I should get addresses before it's out of warranty. David's service was the best I've ever seen - he emailed me within 5 mins of dropping off the car to confirm all the work, then emailed me multiple times the next day with status updates. He spent over an hour telling me all about the car and chatting - it's obvious that he really cares about the customer. He found additional problems with my car and told me which ones were important to do now, and which ones could wait. My Mechanic did brake service, transmission service, fuel service, and replaced a bad engine mount that was causing the whole car to vibrate - i thought thats just the way the car drove, but now it drives like a completely different car. I highly recommend this repair shop!

My experience with David and crew at My Mechanic Automotive has been outstanding to say the least. I should start by saying, I do a lot of research before I invest in a company; I am generally a critical person, and can be a skeptic when something seems too good to be true but if I could give My Mechanic Automotive 10 stars, I would. In a bigger city, I always worry I will have to go to a large company where the workers only care about a paycheck, and I'm liable to be treated as just another number or a task to be completed. That is nowhere near the case here. My dealings with David have been everything I hope to have when going to a new business for a big ticket item I use habitually. From the first phone call, to my 3rd visit this very morning, I have been impressed with his expertise and friendly disposition. He is straight forward, and has a massive amount of integrity; when he quotes you on something, he stands by it (not withholding unforeseen issues arising, of course). He makes sure you understand what is going on with your vehicle and offers his professional expertise without being pushy in the least. This means you are paying for exactly what you get, not a penny more. On top of that, the quality of work is top notch. I don't claim to be an expert but I know vehicles well enough to judge and diagnose them (I have in the past, and still am, capable of doing most of the work myself but the convenience factor for the price here is unrivaled). Since taking my van in, it has been running supremely well. I've checked over most of their work and every bit of it is to a high standard, not to mention done surprisingly quickly. I don't say this lightly but finding value like this in any business is near impossible in the modern era, and I am happy to say that if I am ever looking to have mechanical work done on my vehicle anywhere on the west coast, it will be done at My Mechanic Automotive. Keep up the phenomenal work! tl;dr: If you want to be treated well, and have quality work done at an incredibly reasonable cost, come to them.

Dave is a MECHANICAL GENIUS!! This is what he does and thank our lucky stars he is bringing it to the people. Absolutely trust him to look after my child! LOVE HIM. NO QUESTION. We have been using him for seriously, 17+ years. He services all our cars and there is no question I have that he can not answer. He's a straight no chaser. We have had him look after our 1997 Ford F250, ancient VW Jetta, 2004 Volvo XC90 etc. He knows when to call it quits and when to keep on fixing. A WEALTH of information is in his head regarding all makes and models when we are buying a new to us, used car. This guys is top notch. I got him off the Click and Clack web page of NPR a zillion years ago and have not looked back.....Seattle is a better place to live because we love and trust him so much. The entire community is oh so lucky to have him. PERIOD. Feel really lucky to have found someone this perfectly suited to his craft.

We have been going to My Mechanic for about 20 years. Dave has done our necessary auto maintenance and repairs, inspected used cars for us before we buy them, and given us auto advice when we've called while on a car vacation. He has always been honest with fair prices for any work done. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Highly recommend taking your car here!

These guys are the most honorable, service-oriented crew I have ever come across in all my years of car ownership and maintenance. I've brought them a couple quirky problems and in each instance they went out of their way to fix the issue quickly with great service and a fair price. When their schedule was too full for a last minute repair, they've made solid recommendations without fear. It's also worth noting that the handful of bad reviews here have been responded to promptly, and indicate the reviewer was mistaken in the business they reviewed. Certainly my own experience has been worthy of the five stars and is totally in keeping with every other glistening review here.

These guys are awesome! Had timing belt changed on an older car. They were quick to get the job done and provided frequent updates on the process over the phone. They are knowledgeable and friendly mechanics that do work for competitive price. Will absolutely recommend to anyone and come back here again.

I recently went there after a co-worker had recommended them. I had my regular mechanic before and I thought he was good but these people are superb! I had issues with my brakes ever since my old mechanic replaced them and a couple of calipers. Dave, Caleb and their team are amazing. They tore my brakes apart and discovered the last guy had not greased anything! My brakes are super smooth now and no noise. I recently took my girlfriends car there too. They found some things that were causing issues and they fixed them all for a great price. They are honest and trustworthy...period!

I completely concur with everything everyone else has posted. I have never been to a mechanic this honest before. I budgeted for brake jobs on all 4 wheels for a couple months and then took my car into David to have the work done. I asked for all 4 wheels and after an inspection, he came back and told me the rear wheels had plenty of life in them and definitely didn't need to be replaced. Who does that? What mechanic has ever refused money that you offer them? David is by far the most honest mechanic I have ever experienced. I recently bought a used car from a dealer near David's location. On the test drive, I took it to David's shop and he took 15 minutes to come outside and give it a quick once over. We looked at the engine, the color of the tranny fluid, the life left on the tires, etc. His opinion gave me the peace of mind to buy the car. Superb mechanic, absolute gentleman!
