This shop has a lot of great inventory, and I really appreciate their mission around salvaging and reusing items. That said, my experience as a shopper could have been better. I felt more like an interruption than a customer while interacting with staff.
The person at the front desk seemed more engaged in a personal conversation about her dog's breed with someone who seemed more like a friend than a shopper, and when she directed me to a more knowledgeable staff member for more detailed questions, the interaction still felt unwelcoming. The counter area was cluttered, hard for me to stand at given the unnecessary obstacles at your feet, and overall it didn’t feel like there was much pride in customer service or presentation of the POS space. I guess I get it if they want to be a basic salvage store, but I think there is more opportunity here to be better.
I did ultimately find what I needed, so if customer experience is not a high priority for you, this shop will likely meet your needs. I plan to return, but I’ll probably do more independent research ahead of time so I don’t need to rely on staff for guidance.
Great place for all your vintage restoration. Helpful staff, and reasonable pricing. If you are missing pieces or feeling creative this is your place. Warehouse stocked with a wide range of salvage, from vintage doors & lighting to windows & bathtubs.
It's so good. Sometimes prices are high, but the selection is the best and there's so much good stuff I always get good ideas. I feel like they have a huge selection of things you can't find anywhere else.
Hard pass on ever returning or recommending here. Not sure if only the mother and daughter are in charge, but both behind counter on their phones , never looked up the three times I walked by them. Small business or not, someone needs to put those phones down and start tidying up, this place is an WAY overpriced pig pin for the lack of options or customer service.
This place is a hidden gem! It's modestly kinda tucked away but don't let the entrance fool ya there is a small warehouse of antiques and all sorts of things from vintage appliances to a authentic gowns from Victorian era! Furniture to old toys and this was my first visit, now I'm the kind of shopper who's basically is in and out. I walked in to waste some time and walked out 2 hrs later, having spent 40 bucks on some awesome finds. The staff was very helpful and friendly and isn't opposed to barter a price, what fun!! A must see if visiting Seattle. Myself? I'm going to get flyer miles with em!!!

I visited Earthwise Architectural Salvage today, and it's truly an inspiring place for anyone looking to repurpose old materials or spark creativity. The yard is filled with antique, vintage, and unique architectural pieces—perfect for DIY enthusiasts and treasure hunters alike.
I came looking for something that my Wisteria vine could climb, and while exploring, I found a beautiful wine rack made from cedar wood. It smelled amazing and had a rustic charm that would look great indoors or out. I also stumbled upon an old wind spinner with slightly bent blades—imperfect, but full of character. With a little bit of fixing, it’ll make a lovely outdoor decoration.
Lastly, I picked up a unique piece that will serve as a great decoration for my garden. The staff was friendly and helpful, happy to chat and offer suggestions.
This place is a goldmine if you enjoy giving old things new life. Highly recommended for anyone who loves creative projects or just browsing for one-of-a-kind items!
Seriously, interesting place with items that are so unique and desirable! Inventory is more on the antique/quaint level (not so much vinyl window type thing: Although they have those as well) very interesting items for sale and worth my time . If you're looking for hard to find house parts, mortise locks, antique lighting, old wood (flooring and more) ( and much more ) THISis the place to go! Also, I love the staff who are very friendly and helpful. Earthwise is a shopping adventure for people looking for something quaint or to buy/replace old house building parts(Including windows, Cupboards , Solid wood doors... Clawfoot bathtubs ! It just goes on and on all the fabulous things in this store ....Simply fabulous!!! A shopping adventure for hard to find things !
They have a really unique and wide variety of things, they also have items pretty well organized with barcodes on them, so you're not just searching endlessly in a sea of stuff.

I stripped a bolt on my bicycle, and none of the big hardware stores in the area were of any help. Luckily, Earthwise had two of the exact bolt that I needed. Very helpful staff, and fun atmosphere. Will definitely return for my next obscure project.
I went in for hardwood since my local (Tacoma) branch didn't have enough of what I needed. There was a small parking lot that seemed potentially shared with the other businesses. Had to take a lot of turns to get to the store.
I asked for help and one of the workers immediately walked with me to help find what I needed. I'd brought a sample of hardwood from my house so he matched it to the wood and then started picking out enough for the amount of space I had. He was really helpful and made sure I had the exact amount I needed.
I didn't get to explore the store since I got there towards closing, but it looked gorgeous - lots of older things and antique things. I feel like I could get lost browsing around.
Great concept and I really like the name. Been here several times to find treasures to repurpose. I've purchased parts of a chandelier and turned them into garden art. Everything sold here is useful for original purpose, too. They do a really good job organizing even though it's a bit tight getting around. Not a good place for bringing kiddos that can't keep their hands out of things and like to run around.
I LOVE this store. Earthwise is a treasure trove of vintage marvels. I visited searching for original fir doors for our basement remodel. Nate and his staff went above and beyond. They were unfailingly friendly, highly knowledgeable and extremely patient. I left with two beautiful doors that were a fraction of the price a leading door supplier quoted me. Better yet, they were a perfect match and fantastic quality. Excited to get these doors home and into our 1920s craftsman. We'll definitely be back. Thanks Nate!

Love this place! We drove from Camano Island looking for a unique door for our unique house. This place is very well organized and merchandised in a way that makes it easy to shop and find the things you're looking for. I'm not good at digging through things to find treasures, I have no patience. No need to do that here! Everyone was very helpful when we were asking about doors we had seen on their website (love that they have a website with pictures of the product) and would show us right where they were. We found a beautiful door with stained glass. We will definitely be back! Best salvage store we've been to and we've visited quite a few.
The best architectural salvage in Seattle. I found a PAIR of vintage Craftsman Outdoor sconces and a used mailbox for a very reasonable price. Going back for vintage molding soon! Full of antique, vintage and contemporary pieces for recycling! Always fun to take a look and see what is in!
Very fine helpful folks, great source for all kinds of antique style and vintage home decor, lighting, plumbing, etc. Just tons of cool stuff at decent prices. You really have to come see, words can't describe all the crazy stuff in this place.
I had great service! Every other turn someone was asking if I needed any help. Plus, I found this faucet for $35 it was Kohler but no one could locate its name. After I got home with my treasure I found it online, it's a $800 Disney exclusive faucet. Plus I found a light for the bathroom that was exactly what I had recently picked out at Lamps plus for $100 less. Oh! The gorgeous reproduction door knobs were only $45 ea and they are brand new!!
Wow! Every time I drop in, there are always plenty of options for my projects. Door and Windows as well as reclaimed patina tin roofing for my backyard shed project. One stop and done. Great / reasonable pricing. Hardware, Doors, Windows, Cabinets, odds and ends!
Earthwise is an absolute gem! I found old growth fir flooring to patch some holes that exactly matched the flooring from a 1915 farm house I'm remodeling. I also picked up a clean and modern kitchen range for $45! One of my favorite stops in Seattle.
what a great find. I really enjoy working with Nate & staff. I picked up inside window frames from the Smith Tower ,& lights for my Bagel Shop on Whidbey Is. I look forward to working with them for many years to come
Nicely organized with fun relics. Reasonable priced treasures to be found. Lot of old tubs and mirrors. Nice folks working here. Outdoor yard art and funky old cement planters.
