Really odd experience. I don’t know why they’re so controlling about me dumping my clothes in a bin. I love donating clothes. Not like this. EDIT: Thanks for the support.
Feb 24, 2026 -
Checkout guy was super nice but fitting room people need to stop letting people try on tons of clothes in the 5 items or less rooms! It makes the wait time so long to try on..
Feb 21, 2026 -
Clean, welcoming staff. Lots of clothes and some furniture and electronics but not a lot of choice. I bought 2 noise cancelling machines (white noise) and the stuff member confirmed they should work even though there was no way of testing them. Upon trying them at home, it turned out neither works. The donations line was huge and didn’t move.
Feb 16, 2026 -
Why is the donation line so slow? It took ~30minutes for 6 cars to donate some pretty small items.
Feb 16, 2026 -
Donate anywhere else. Despite a short line, it took over an hour to make a donation as the employees stand idly by and wait for an empty bin to come from the back… roughly 15 minute wait for each bin. These folks clearly have more donations than they can handle and don’t need (or want?) any more.

Overpriced. They wanted $900 for a broken down bicycle. I can't imagine anybody walking into a thrift store with $900 planned out for a project that may or may not cost hundreds of dollars to fix. They need to learn how to price their items

As far as thrift stores go, this is a great one. I went on a rainy Sunday afternoon and it was quite busy. But I was impressed by how organized the shelves were and by the quality of the items. Relatively few things were total junk. They also had a nice mix of very cheap household items ($1-6 range) and items of high quality at somewhat higher prices (think: modern dresser in good condition for $35 or a brand new hard sided suitcase for $25). Overall I would recommend this store.
Jan 11, 2026 -
Just good people trying to help out, with the new year right now that they’ve got a lot of stuff coming in so you may have to only donate partial amounts of your load, but still great people all around and a wonderful service
Jan 06, 2026 -
Nice selection overall, but very expensive. They tend to mark up "designer" brands even if the clothing is stained or damaged. The parking can be crowded at times.

Set my cart to the side of an aisle to look at the DVD section which is a narrow corridor. I usually enjoy parsing through the used DVDs at Goodwill. Had a few items in my cart that it took me awhile to find and that I really liked. When I came back my cart was gone. Asked a cashier about it. She got help from another associate. He said they put items in carts back in 30 minutes if they are stationery for that long. Didn’t know this rule, there are no signs indicating this rule. I was a little surprised because there’s lots of carts out all the time at Goodwill. Obviously it was going to take awhile for the things I picked up to be back on the shelves again, so I left. Waste of 2 hours. I know the store associate was just doing their job and I know retail is a busy job, but you could have been more considerate of me and the things I picked out.

Pretty mid goodwilll. The prices are expensive compared to all other goodwills in the area and they don’t give a full 50% off for the color of the day. A lot of the kitchenwares are broken or missing pieces. They also need a better system for donation drop off as the line is frequently into the street.
Dec 28, 2025 -
Donation line is way too slow. I appreciate what Goodwill is doing but the donation line is here is frankly dysfunctional. Every time I come here the staff running it seem to have absolutely no sense of urgency and try to outcompete who can walk slower. I wish they would accept walk-up donations - I would walk and carry stuff from blocks away if I could. I haven't tried the new location but it has to be better than this.

Been to this location many times but recently I had gone with someone who was caught stealing, I had no knowledge of this person stealing because we weren't even shopping together. Long story short I get trespassed and accused of theft when I had no knowledge of or tried to steal anything! Tried going back the other day to do some shopping security let me in because he remembers me and knows that it wasn't me stealing or trying to steal. About 20-30 mins into shopping I get approached by loss prevention lady who was rude and inconsiderate and had no intention of hearing me out. I tell them to check the video to prove it wasn't me and they brush off my statement as if it means nothing. So all in all this is an absolutely terrible location that I will not be recommending to any of my friends and family, nor be supporting in the near future... this store needs to be more customer friendly orientated and more understanding. I understand theft is a big problem in Seattle but accusing and trespassing a PAYING customer with no intentions or plans of stealing items is unacceptable and deplorable.

If you want to donate something here budget 30 to 60 minutes waiting in line to drop your stuff off. I've tried three times now and it's impossible to get in and out in a hurry. They seem to have one person and one cart at that time. Today I got here at 4:00 p.m. and there's 20 cars in front of me. There are people leaving the line, giving up because it's so slow.

I love this place! It’s always full of wonderful treasures and unexpected surprises. and today, wonderful people! Kiran was helping us at checkout and they were SO amazing. THANKS!!

Kiran is a very nice young man who was incredibly helpful and very willing to put in a lot of labor to make us happy customers!

Busy this time of year and on a Saturday. Checking out was smooth. Did find quite a few items that weren't priced so I had to pass but overall a great place to shop.
Oct 26, 2025 -
This store is absolute garbage. One man’s trash is more expensive than buying new? All of the items in this store were vastly overpriced as if it were a joke. Plastic bin for $12.99 is regular price new for $6.99. Weights for $39.99 can be bought from Amazon for $18. I’m unsure if this store is here just to scam people who don’t have a sense of price or if it’s all a joke. One thing is for certain, it’s a waste of time even coming.
Oct 19, 2025 -
This one of the only thrift stores left in the area. With that comes pros and cons: Pro - lots of options, new things almost hourly Con - it’s an absolute mess, almost impossible to shop, busy

I bought an electronic wrong item from the Goodwill on 8 Ave NW in Ballad. When I checked their return policy I think It was within 7- days. Luckily, I returned the Item after Two days without removing all the price tags and receipt. The person who was doing the returning process told me that they will not return the money back into my Bank account in days but instead, she said that she will give me “ a gift card”. I asked her “ I need my money to go back into my Bank account or refund in cash”. Lastly, she informed me according Ballad Goodwill, I have Buy some from the Store even if you don’t need anything right now buy something in the future. She told me that “ I can’t buy something from any other store besides Goodwill “ that mean Ballad Goodwill, are forcing his long time contributors and donators can’t get their money back if they one time tried to return an item that they bought like any other store or business in the state. I suggest here in my writing to change that policy because that policy looks like unprofessional policy.

I fervently wish that I knew about this Goodwill’s policy on returned purchases. I was there yesterday, and selected several clothing items. I didn’t want to wait in a long line to try on the clothes. Goodwill truly needs to post a large billboard stating their return policies. I did not get my money back. Only received a coupon for an Evergreen store that’s far away. I am 70 and don’t drive anymore. I’ve supported this store so much. So very disappointed! This store absolutely does not care about their customers at all. Definitely won’t be returning. SMH.

Great for kitchenware items including pots, pans (all sizes and styles including cast iron), dishware, flatware, knives, cutting boards, all sorts of baking stuff, containers like glass food containers etc etc. There is a lot of clothes and footwear, books, not great for furniture or stuff is pretty beat up, etc etc The cashier said they are the store in evergreen goodwills that get the most donations.

Are you kidding me? 25 bucks for worn down pants. And this is normal. Majority of pants are around 20 bucks. I just bought new ck tech pants, Levi 511 tech and dkny tech pants all for $25 this week. Y'all are smoking the good stuff . This carabiner is a dollar at stores. Max 2 and they gave it for 8. What

Easily the worst goodwill in the city, not that any of them are good anymore. Prices are insanely high ($15-$20 for any pair of jeans, women’s dept has higher prices than men’s generally, $50+ for furniture), and I don’t see any evidence their massive profit margins are actually doing anything for the community. The checkout line is always extremely long and slow, doesn’t matter what time or day you go. These days I’ve surrendered to driving 20 minutes away to go to Value Village, Deseret Industries or if nothing else the Shoreline goodwill which is marginally better.

Friendly staff, clean store and bathroom, good sales, all-day every day they put out new (used) items. Easy returns, odd fun quirky items, clothes to garden items to hair products to puzzles to pet supplies. Some items are overpriced, some items have excellent price. The donation line often has 5-10 cars waiting to drop off items.

Books already pre-scanned. They resell them with Amazon. You can’t find something essential. And they don’t have discounts for 10 and more books like others Goodwill stores. Parking always full.
Aug 06, 2023 -
like any other good will, if it's ur lucky day then U gonna get some really cool stuff with really low price compare to the quality. BUT, I feel like the price in this store is strange and so random. Saw some really nasty cheap looking skirt marked over $30 and found a premium Levis almost brand new marked less than $10??? So it's a real hunt. How interesting. The store is big. Good jeans selection, ceramic, and furniture. Poor selection in photography books.

Overpriced - Save your money for a different Goodwill. I've been shopping at this location for nearly 8 years and I think that has come to an end. I've always given them business but I just feel sick when I look at their tag prices now. Recent management changes or something has led this store to Jack prices way up. They're pulling tons of stuff out of the normal section, pricing it way up and labeling it as "Fashion Focus". Their prices are way off, anyone with a phone and eBay can tell that. I photographed just a small sample of what they're marking as Fashion Focus and putting high prices on. See pics. Worn, donated Levis for $25-30?? Out of fashion 7FAM jeans for $50?! The prices are laughable. I typically see the same brands/styles at every other goodwill around here priced at $8, 10, maybe $15 at most. It really takes the fun out of thrifting to see this.

A pretty good Goodwill, hence the 4/5 stars... As you walk in the front doors you will have a broad view of the entire store. Jewelry and collectibles are laid out on the right, clothing in the middle, check out line on the left, furniture in the back right. The clothing was sorted well, mostly by color and appropriate sizes. Really not much out of place which is surprising for a store this size. I was in on a Monday and pretty much only had my eye on the pink $1.79 tags but most items seemed to be reasonably priced. I've been to a few goodwills that had way too high of prices for what the item was worth. (example: $14 children's shoes from target for $12.99 :/ ) I browsed the art/frames selection and was less than impressed. A small inventory with mostly poorly taken care of pieces. The parking lot is just OK. Not super huge and the spaces are long and narrow. Overall I would recommend giving this location a try if you're in the area.
