Yeah this place is awesome. You could literally look for along time and not see everything. I had fun checking stuff out and thought the staff was really nice and helpful. Can’t wait to show my husband this joint!

Amazing selection of reclaimed finish materials. Be careful you don't leave with more unfinished projects than you arrived with.

Earlier this week I stopped by looking for some reclaimed flooring, and why does everything here have to be so well-organized and easy to find.

Best of the best in honest and sustainable small business. Great vintage and salvage selection (a treasure trove!). Worked with me on a good deal for a piece that I’ll forever be grateful for. Have bought and sold here for a few years now, always satisfied, a company you can trust and respect.

Can be expensive- sometimes we’re left scratching our heads at how expensive certain items are but stuff is worth what people will pay for it so good for them (bad for us!) Every now and then you can snag a deal! We got a rad carved wooden bedside table for $50 a few years back but haven’t had any luck since then…staff is always super helpful and friendly.

An incredible hardware selection including euro hinges, tools, doors, and more.

Recycling at its best... why buy new when you can buy personality and character and even less expensive...

Great place for finding vintage items Friendly staff. Nicely organized & sorted isles & isles of many interesting things.

So awesome and love the staff too!! Could spend hours in here just exploring. Definitely visiting again for my home care needs and furniture.

Probably good for that one door knob you want to match in your old home or super expensive old stuff for your house.. but your going to pay for it for sure.

Epic. If you don't know about Ballard Reuse, you oughta. Friendly, nerd-tastic staff. Interesting old tools. Interesting NEW tools. Furniture. Ephemera. Records, tapes, CDs, and Santa Blow Molds! Get in there and buy yourself an old clawfoot tub, an ugly chandelier, an 8-track player and a copy of Frampton Comes Alive or Foghat on that dead medium. A vintage set of chassis punches or a friggin' dog blowdryer on a stand. This is maybe my favorite business in Washington. Get in there. Walk around.

Great reuse shop with anything you can think of. If you're looking for new furniture, light fixtures, hardware, tools, or any other home goods, this is a great option to find used stuff for an excellent price.

So much awesome stuff!! Not so curated and expensive that it becomes out of reach. Great design and layout.

I have spoken to them several times, sometimes getting different answers. Mostly, you get a tax receipt or store credit. That being said, if by chance, you are looking for vintage lumber to re-mill for... uh... ANY USE, they have it in spades. You can never be sure what is in stock, but if you are a D.I.Y. kinda homeowner and can appreciate top grade wood in lower grade product (slab boards vs. finished molding, this is the place for you. Looking for 12 or more matching drawer & door pulls, maybe not. One killer old school (literally school) light fixture, this is your first spot on your shopping adventure. Worth noting, and coming back to edit: TOOLS. They have a decent assortment of reasonably priced tools.

Awesome spot. As a contractor specializing in remodels I love being close to Ballard Reuse. Its hard to find specific items for older homes and they are the best place to find that specific piece you're looking for. Theres so much life and utility left in items that are frequently trashed. Having the ability to salvage items and have a place to bring them for further use is a great resource.

Great place to donate used building items so the can be reused. This week I took a stainless sink, cabinet hardware (new) other misc. Feels good not going into landfill. Amazing place.

I've always known that Ballard Reuse accepted architectural salvage and building materials but I was not aware that they accept a variety of other household items, camping and recreational equipment, a stereo system and camera equipment. I visited this week and they accepted all the items I expected to take to Goodwill, but I didn't have to wait in line which seems to always be the case now at Goodwill. Reuse also accepted some painted wood stair treads that I thought would go to the landfill. I'm glad they're there.

I have gotten a lot of incredible items from Ballard Reuse ranging from brand new walnut flooring to old brass candle holders. This place is so fun to explore and you never know what you will find!

If your looking for furniture, this should be your FIRST stop. I am so happy that they are right across the street from me, I was able to completely furnish my new apartment with them. I now have a large shelving unit, art table, chair, trashcans, trays, a rug, desk, and mirror from them, and spent in total somewhere between 200-300! They have such an eclectic array of items at various price points, and anytime I have needed help finding somthing the employees and owners have always been so helpful. They have so many cool items, somtimes I go in just to check out what they have for fun!

Collection of both medium and high end furniture. Came in looking to spend ~50$ on a new bookcase. They had some finer pieces out of my price range… Left with a great old wood bookcase for 50$ and a staub dutch oven! Friendly assistants as well

I always go here to check for supplies before buying new, and usually discover something I didn't know I needed. Latest trip, found the perfect amount of reclaimed oak for a baby changing tray project.

Fun architectural salvage store that is a great starting point for projects around the house. I’ve gone both with projects in mind and searching for inspiration, and left with something great in tow.

I wish I discovered this sooner, it wasn’t until I was at Trader Joe’s nearby that the cashier informed to look there after I was telling him I wanted to make some coffee tables. All the furniture in there is organized, clean, unique, modern and put together. You don’t know what you have til it’s gone, I moved to NYC and went to Big Reuse in Brooklyn. Everything was basically broken (couldn’t open doors, cabinet shelves were broken) basically junk and overpriced at that. I found this 4 ft cedar round, solid $50 (a steal)at Ballard reuse and made this coffee table. The live edge planks at the nyc reuse were $50+ for a skinny slab (rip off). Not to mention they are responsive on Instagram on their stories that they post items and then you can pick them up. Ballard reuse I miss you dearly

AMAZING! A home thrift shop on steroids! Great for anyone who just moved and looking for some inexpensive yet high-quality home furniture, or anyone looking to spruce up their home without spending thousands of dollars. Staff is incredibly helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. I purchased 2 bar stools from a local restaurant ($25 each) and re-hemmed the cushions with a new fabric. I also bought a solid wood desk top ($100), refinished it, and paired it with some ikea drawers.

Great store and staff. Love the philosophy of reusing materials. Positive experience having them take away our old items and getting paid for it too. Have bought from them in the past as well. Check them out!
