Shout out to my guy Hamza in customer support helped out a ton keep doing what you doing and shining like a diamond in the free world.

I order my grocery's for delivery from Stop and Shop every month and a half or so, so I'm normally doing a big shop. They are always late dropping off and my bags are always ripped. My last delivery driver said it was chaos trying to pick up from the store. There is usually something off about my order but nothing crazy.
Yesterday my allotted time was 6-7pm. Didn't receive my items until almost 9:30pm. BUT here is the real kicker, apparently in that big store there is not one substitution for rice, tortillas, olive oil or sourdough bread. Some of the most staple ingredients to exist. Like you can sub pineapple chunks but not tortillas??? It also says they subbed potato but they weren't in any of the bags (must've been a casualty of the ripped up bag situation)
I've always given a pass for the insane lateness and the stuff falling out of the bags, but once I have to go to another grocery store for simple items, whats even the point to order from you.

Watch your items closely while they are being rung up. Items were stolen out of my bag on 2 occasions after paying. At the first instance the cashier started ringing my items before the individuals in front of me finished bagging their large purchase and they ran off with it. I then left my bag to get a replacement item (was told I could leave the packed back at the register) and someone stole another item.

I called customer service, no one ever answered. I tried several times and the automated system hung up on me each time after waiting for someone to answer my question. I then called Wholefoods and someone picked up right away and helped me.

I’ve been seeing and noticing strange behavior at Stop & Shop. Particularly from the Stop & Shop cashiers!!! After the cashier scan your items they keep some of them. This happened twice ! I’ve caught two cashiers doing this and when I get home, I noticed something not in my bag. The first time I noticed this, was from a young lady that scanned my items! Every time I would turn my back to reaching my car to put something on the belt something will come off the belt and be in front of her where I could not see. Lots of my items were right in front of her! I noticed they don’t like for you to help them back where they hurry up and try to bag your things, but in this case, I went around to bag my own things and I saw the items in front of her then. They sat in front of her slight in a slightly lower, area and I pointed them out like please give me my items. The second time this happened was yesterday. From the corner of my eye, I noticed the cashier hurriedly grabbed an item (My onion powder of all things) and I’m like I just know I didn’t see what I thought I saw!!! So I pretended like I didn’t see it and when I got home, my onion powder was missing. He actually took the onion powder. That was strange so I’m not sure what they’re doing, or what’s going but it’s weird.

I was sitting on the ledge of a wall facing towards the citibikes lined up facing Barclay Center taking a food break after walking for a while; and while i am taking a food break and eating... a guy comes along with a wheeled garbage can and a broom and lifts the broom into the air and away from the ground and starts sweeping the plant area extremely close nearby me where i was sitting and eating and i had food out and eating and he just starts sweeping something up near the plants at the same level I was sitting and my food was. The practice to me seemed very badly timed, ignorant, stupid, careless and rude. And the guy after that just continued sweeping like nothing is wrong! "We are different, The halal guys" is what the guys shirt read, and i seen him retrieving shopping carts and placing them near the Stop & Shop supermarket nearby. My advice is please make sure these guys have better "training" and are doing their jobs in a way that makes good sense. What was done while i was sitting, eating and minding my business, was very unsanitary... and extremely rude! Smh.

I have had so many issues with this store’s delivery service. Ever since they moved from in-house to third-party delivery, every single order I’ve placed has gone wrong in someway. The first order was over an hour and a half late, the second order I scheduled for pick up and they made me go into the back service area where employees are to pick it up, and this most recent order I had several items missing and the invoice was not in the bag I was charged for the missing items. They generally offer a coupon or something, but this shouldn’t happen for EVERY order.

Might be the biggest grocery I have ever been in. Mammoth selection. Self checkout was extra busy while human checkout was near empty???? Our cashier helped us navigate the specials and saved us a LOT of money. We came from the UES to get some of the specials. Well worth the Q train ride. First visit but will not be the last.

This location never has carts or baskets. You may have to wait for someone to finish shopping to take their cart. The aisles are big and organised, but i still couldn't find almond flour. With the grocery being big, i expected them to have a larger variety of items. The sales are good. You don't need a store card to get the sales.

Good market, tons of variety and good sales! Cashiers were super efficient and helped with the bags. Lots of parking front or back of the store.

The bathroom at this Stop and Shop is the dirtiest bathroom I've ever been in. Everyone who came out of the bathroom while I was waiting in line was commenting in shock on how dirty it was. One of the two toilets was clogged and filled to the brim with poop. There was no toilet paper in either stall. There was toilet water all over the floor. The seat cover dispensers in both stalls were empty. The changing table was no longer on the wall (I could see where the holes were where it had once been). There were brown stains all over the walls and floor. It smelled like someone had been chain smoking in there for 10 years, and on top of that, it smelled like pee as well.

You’r deli counter person was nasty this morning at the Atlantic Avenue Store. She was insistent on saying it wasn’t time to work but another employee said that it was past 8 am . Then as she finished my orders , she threw them down on the counter. The cashier was especially nasty with an elderly customer as well. Do you train them on common courtesy? Maybe don’t schedule them so early in the morning so that they don’t take their bad evenings out on early morning customers.

I’m currently on a spiritual quest to find the best grocery store rotisserie chicken in the world, which I have dubbed “Chicken Wars.”

Next up is Stop & Shop, and a whole tissi ran $7.49. I had a celebrity guest for this one, Dave from OldJewishMen. He is the guy who infamously put Costco's chicken bar code on a shirt and had them scan that, as he didn’t want the LED lights on his chicken. Gotta love Dave.

It ended up landing at 6.8/10, which currently ranks it tied for 30th out of 40 grocery store birds I’ve currently tried.

I’m appalled to see Stop & Shop hasn’t honored its commitment to cage-free eggs. As someone who stands firmly against animal cruelty, I’m beyond disappointed in the lack of follow-through from their leadership. There is nothing appetizing about eggs that were born of animal suffering. I am out the door and onto a more humane supermarket!

Store has nice wide aisles and is well upkept but double check every product you plan to buy before checking out. Food and product tampering is an issue at this location. This Stop & Shop gets heavy foot traffic from high school kids, commuters, mall shoppers, and barclays center audience across the street. I've seen many FOOD products opened and taped back together. Check everything you plan to buy BEFORE going to pay.

-superb low prices such as three dollars for a large container of brand name Friendly's ice cream look at my picture! This is February 2025 even after all the inflation the store really tries to give you amazing discounts
-the customer service here is hit or miss. sometimes the people are very nasty,sometimes they're OK, definitely never amazing, so try not to interact with the employees here and you will have an OK time
-store hours could be better
-fresh rotisserie chicken is available every day at around noon for $7.50

No shopping carts nor baskets available at store entrance. Guard/attendant at store entrance just shrugs when asked where onee can be found. Meanwhile there are Carta abandoned on Atlantic Avenue as far as Party City which someone in the store should be in charge of retrieving. Since cab drivers have been restricted from assembling in front of the store, customers needing taxi assistance are forced to steal the carts to get their purchased items to Atlantic Ave where they can get assistance with getting their shopping home. Afterall, not everyone can afford these exorbitant delivery prices. The produce section looked like a looting had recently transpired and made the offerings unappealing. That's as far as I got because I lost any desire to purchase anything by then.

Why are your employees so rude and miserable to customers, even when you are being friendly, as a customer because that’s just your personality as a human? Went to the fried chicken bar at this location and the young lady in the photo was so rude and aggressive, like she didn’t want to be there.

The main point to go there is prices and nice discounts, floors and store itself is clean, free of useless marketing like tons of organic and such useless stuff (unlike Trader Joe's), there is organic choice if you really think it matters. Things like paper (such as toilet paper) isn't really cheap, also Sodas in 8/12 packs are more expensive in [Key Food] for example, but 2Liter sodas are really cheap if you get in bulk. There is DELI and Bakery sections if you want to eat something. Sections are labeled in very understanding and easy way. There is free water dispenser as well for those who needs to use them. The only problem is staff, when you ask something they don't really care answering you correctly, they say random stuff always, when that changes my review changes to 5 Star.

It has the things I need 90 percent of the time. Stop & Shop no longer opens at 6:30AM it now opens at 7:00AM. Yes it has changed they have changed all of the aisles and most of the produce is not where it use to be.

This stop and shop is one of the worst I’ve ever been to. They never have a good meat and poultry selection, and I’ve seen GREAT meat departments at stop and shops around the city. And with the price of everything today we need as good a variety as S&S claims to offer. It really doesn’t matter what time of day or even what day of the week you show up, they just never have enough. Stop and shop in Coney Island is wayyyyy better. I’m going to start cataloging all the pictures I take on my visits so the public can see that it’s not even a joke. This place seems big on the outside but when you go inside it looks like a supermarket for single people who barely eat .

Truck delivery drivers be careful when you deliver any product at stop and shop facility very careful when they let you backup into the dock (check height clearance when you backup )makesure always byself don’t follow anyone ,they are not cooperating with me and I didn’t get paid my complete freight money from them and also they call cops on me and forcefully got me ticket,so please careful before do anything

The place is big but not that clean especially the bathroom .
And, there might only be like 4 carts working.. People are like waiting outside to ask for somebody who is done shopping to use the cart after them.

They actually have carts now so Me and my partner came back to do our groceries. Kuddos to the management and the ataffs.

But,
The bathroom still nasty.. I can't blame them it's like, bathroom for the homeless, cab drivers, mall employees and everybody.
I think they already gave up on this water closet a long time ago.

very large area with a very wide choice at very affordable prices, I like stop & shop ! the only downside is the cashiers s that of the desk lottery , always unwelcoming

It's a nice supermarket. The deals are good if one has a Stop & Shop card.

It was a nice and smooth day for food shopping, it felt like I was in and out. I was able to stick and move. I pulled out my list, gathered my groceries, slid on over to the self check out line, was assisted with coupons and deals and made my way home. I successfully found everything I needed along with some help from the staff in the store. Fresh vegetables, seasonings, meats and more. Thank you Stop & Shop for helping me nourish and fuel my body with flavorful and fresh ingredients.

I recently fell in love with Stop n Shop as they have awesome Fresh produce is MY FAVORITEPart. But also a variety of foods, Spanish, oriental etc And Deli service is friendly. A must tryeven if you are loyal to your market. Give Stop n Shop a try, You'll like it.
