Recently went to purchase additional lights that we had seen many times before, woman told us they're under new management which was clear by the insane mark up, literally bought a 50s holophane light for $110-150 in 2021 (they're right now online $50-90 and very common/easy to find). They're now currently only sold as a set of 3 which is weird and $1k and all would need to be fixed for additional labor costs which I didn't even bother asking because these long lights were changed to super short drop stubby lights with very unattractive canopies. They have a new lighting person who does things in a very machine factory like set up, where everything is kept uniform, ie if you want anything outside of a very short single drop pendant it's extra money and the canopy/mountings chosen aren't really period accurate or even matching the same metal tone of the org piece which makes them less appealing cost aside. The lighting person before was amazing and so talented and great on matching up pieces together in a cohesive way, super happy for them that they got an amazing job and moved but it's left a noticeable hole. And listen I get that skilled labor costs money, I don't begrudge charging fair prices but most of the stuff is super dirty, covered in rusty chipped paint and they probably got for free or pennies during demo or estate sales/storage unit etc and then think they can charge $11,000 for a random oil painting with water damage and mold... The inventory is stagnant, we used to visit often but the last 5 years it's been like the same few pieces kicking around and I think it's because the pricing is just nuts. $20+ for a single old musty dusty random book that's not in great condition and has no provenance ?, door hardware without the set screws. It now feels like all they want to do is create reclaimed wood and other big $$ projects with restaurants and commercial spaces. I get that vintage and second hand is back in vogue and the area is becoming more gentrified but I don't see value in returning.

Awesome items. Although they were technically closed, they let me inside and walk around.

Listen to the reviews. Guy with the glasses is very combative and rude. He was nice at first but when he came over a third time to check on me, I was just updating him on what I found and he goes IM NOT A LOCKSMITH. Like bro take a breath I’m just talking. The lock was decently priced but decided they didn’t deserve my business. I’ll keep searching.

I have been searching for my soulmate reading chair. I read a book or two per week so I’ve been searching for a long time. #Provenance of Philly was fantastic - this space is huge and so easy to shop since every precious piece (all vintage gems) gets the awesome space it deserves. They delivered fast and I am so happy to enjoy (finally!) my perfect vintage reading chair.

My son rehabbed a 3floor row home at 15th and Tasker. He found many great fixtures, some doors and on+on to make his home resemble the origin look before it had been broken up into a boarding house.

There is plenty to select from, however, everything is over valued. I don't think their strategy is to sell in terms of volume but to score on a few pieces.

Great selection of wood and construction salvage...very clean and well organized!...extremely overpriced and expensive!!! Sales rep was completely snooty, short and put off by our interest in buying a few pieces of larger boards of wood and not purchasing bulk...zero interest on their part in working with the little guys! Sadly wouldn’t recommend! Fab items at a premium with very poor customer service!

All of the staff was super helpful and got me exactly what I was looking for on a budget. Highly recommend for folks looking for reclaimed wood, like I was. The warehouse is massive and filled with awesome antiques and reclaimed items to fulfill all your project needs.

Great and friendly spot for incredibly unique hardware, doors, fences, register covers (I picked some up to replace some standard home depot specials) and other fantastic home wonders. I know they do reclaimed wood stuff (tables, flooring and more) and also sell lighting fixtures. Honestly it's worth a trip to just look at everything.

The place to go for interesting, unique and historic furnishings, decorations and design elements. staff are knowledgeable and very nice. I picked up a very large piece, they had it ready for transport, loaded it carefully and were so helpful.

Alex is amazing and so helpful! There are some very spectacular pieces here. If you are looking for unique items from doors to windows or especially custom wood tables/benches...you won't be disappointed.

Brian is always helpful, funny and interesting to deal with. I had worked with Daniel in the past and really enjoyed his passion for architectural salvage and wish he was still there, but in his absence, Brian will do. Always new stuff to check out, worth the drive.

They have excellent unfinished pieces of wood, and were very helpful getting a few custom countertop pieces selected.

Expensive, if you are willing to pay $8/ sq ft for reclaimed wood, then by all means buy from here. I like their recycling of reclaimed wood, and they will buy wood off of you as well, but they could use some work on their customer service.

Rude. Flat out rude. I called to ask about reclaimed wood over the phone. When I went to look at their selection and mentioned I had called about it, he told me that my type of project and inquiry was "very low priority" for him. Who says that to a customer?? He also, asked if I had a plane at home to shave down wood. I said no, but my Dad does. He laughed and said that type of wood would destroy my Dad's tools. Little does he know my Dad does construction on homes and his plane would work just fine. He also made me feel like I was interrupting their staff meeting while shopping during operating hours. All in all it was a bad experience. I won't be back.

Don't waste your time. The customer service is non-existent! Spend your money elsewhere! Called to inquire about a lighting fixture and was completed dismissed by a snooty and rude rep. This guys did not understand the concept of customer service. He first acted as if he had no time to answer my questions. Once I told him which light fixture I was interested in, he abruptly told me other people were interested in it as if he had no time to deal with me. He asked what I even needed it for and when I told him for my home, he automatically assumed it would not fit. I had not even given him any information on my home. This awful rep basically assumed we couldn't afford it as well. He should have assumed that he is the absolute worst at his job and everyone should assume that this store is waste of time. Don't ever call this store and don't ever waste your time visiting.

Called, emailed, and texted multiple times and continued to be ignored with no response what so ever. Would not do business with solely on the lack of communication. A simple reply to in any form of communication is all that is asked.

I wanted to buy several different items. I believe it would have totaled a couple of $1000 but BRIAN .... THE OWNER.... who told me to email him the items I was interested in which I did and sent a follow up email..... NOTHIN .... I guess if your not a large restaurant or office building their not interested. Go see Allen at Philadelphia Salvedge .... Great service reasonable prices !

Wonderful and unique selections. Great live edge and reclaimed wood. Very expensive but it's original and rare.

Though Provenance had a great collection of salvaged items at their old location, my experience at the new Canal St location has been much better. The selection is organized and easy to browse through. I've purchased tile, doors, shutters and hardware there, but the main thing I get from them is salvaged wood. Floors, siding - the materials are ready to install and they come with character and often a great story
