I've been going to the shop now for just about maybe over 2 years. I've had quite a lot of work done to my truck and I would say that they do pretty great work. But I noticed recently that a lot of times the work has going downhill. I made an appointment to get my lights done. My wheels change oil inspection, car inspection. Mostly everything was done right. However the lights that I had installed were not done correctly. I had to go somewhere else and pay 180 bucks to have them reinstalled correctly. The owner Dave is great but if he's not there then the work doesn't get done correctly. I can tell that no one checked the lights before they gave me my car back. I was fortunate enough to find a shop that was open that was able to undo the work that they did and reinstall the lights correctly. Thank you, empire
These guys are my heroes! Called eight other shops looking to see if anyone could help with the install of a truck bed cap I ordered online. They were not only game to build and install it, but they also changed my oil and had my car back to me same day. Super happy and they saved me countless hours DIYing in the cold on my street! Very fair price and would totally go back for service in the future.
Had my first experience with these guys today…… I can tell you, everything you have read in the reviews is 100% correct. Extremely fair and (honestly cheap) prices. Very knowledgeable, very down to earth and easy to talk to, and communicate with. Myself and my family will now be customers for life!!!!
Been taking my car here for 2 years. Whoever owned my car before didn’t service my brakes well. He did some magician type stuff to make sure my costs wasn’t skyrocket high. He is very talented. And travel 35+ mins to just go to him. Because I don’t trust anyone else. As I’ve been jipped before.

My friend got robbed and went over to ask for someone's phone to call someone. A person working there told him to get in the car and he followed the people who robbed my friend. It ended with my friends phone and wallet being returned to him. 100/10 would recommend
I'm not pleased because the short mechanic started talking advantage of me because I was Handicap in a wheelchair and thinking I was stupid that I had a lots of money to still bet me out of by pocket picking I found that he literally loosen a bolt ? on my transmission mount saying that the bolt was striped he couldn't do the work he just didn't want to replace the transmission mount and then had some nerve to charge me 30.00 when I found out, I went back there and told him to give me the money back he didn't hesitate to give it back it's ignorance and he has no honor it's like he picked me out of the crowd to be hating with no reason.
I cannot say enough good things. These guys are awesome and trustworthy. I've been taking my car here for years. Reliable, fast, and high quality work, and always at a fair price!
Dave and his crew are awesome people, great Mechanics and complete a ton of cars especially for their size of 3 bays. Honest, timely and fairly priced. As a business owner myself, I appreciate all the aforementioned attributes. Also you can get snacks, smokes and cheap Vermont Green Mountain coffee in the store from Murad and Abdul.

My car had started making some concerning noises so I wanted to quickly get it checked out. Dave was able to see me the very next day, turned out my breaks were teetering on the edge of completely being a safety hazard. There were able to order parts and change my breaks in less than two hours. They also diagnosed another problem that is not pressing but gave me tips on how to handle it until I'm able to get my car in another day. I'm very satisfied with their work and will be returning for any other issues with my car.
I loved my trip to Chestnut Hill Automotive. They did an oil change and took a look at a slow leak in one tire, quickly and at a very reasonable price. Best of all, I was able to call them up and come right in, no need to schedule days or weeks in advance. I will definitely use them again for my future automotive maintenance needs!
I've been going to Dave for some years and never been disappointed. Full tune up done on 2014 buick lacrosse, my car wasn't loud however its silent now. I RECOMMEND this Auto shop due to the Honesty, the pride in their work and most of all pricing is very fair. Everyone is pleasant, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. They are patient with concerns and they'll get you in and out. If you are looking for a new mechanic, one to replace, or even a 2nd opinion..THIS IS THE PLACE!!!
Very professional, quick service, and transparent about cost. Needed a new starter and a window replacement and Dave was very transparent about my options, the costs for labor and parts, and where I could source my own parts along with reliable brands. I’ll definitely be bringing my car to him in the future for any other repairs.

The price is fair and I am very happy and thankful with their fast services. I didn't notice my state inspection is expired until the repair man told me. I was glad he told me, otherwise I will be charged few hundred dollars fee if I get caught from the police. Thank you with their great professional services.

I had a great experience at CHA recently. My tire pressure light was on, so I gave them a call in the AM on short notice and they told me to come on in. They checked all my tires including the spare in the trunk. They unloaded and reloaded my stroller and I stayed in my car all the while, as they filled my tires and adjusted things. It did the trick and I was good to go. When it came time to pay, they told me not to worry about it although I insisted. It was very kind and efficient and much appreciated. We have used them before to get our cars inspected and were very happy with that too. Can’t recommend them enough.
Came to chestnut hill auto last week for a concerning rattling noise- turned out to be just the heat shield. They provided an immediate fix free of charge because it was just drilling in one screw. I am extremely grateful - the dealership wanted me to wait a whole day so they could 'test drive' to figure out the issue, and were estimating a good chunk of labour time. Chestnut Hill auto had me in and out in no time. This was a minor issue but i can tell they are good people, reliable, and know their stuff based off not only my small personal interaction but from all the reviews i see! I will definitely come here for any future issues my car faces and have already recommended this place to my friends. Thanks for great service!
I had an excellent experience at this shop. In the current pandemic situation, most of shops would only accept early drop-off with no set pick-up time, which does not work for me. The owner of Chestnut Hill Automotive understood my need and was able to complete everything (oil change + inspections) within a very timely manner at a very reasonable price. There were no surprises and unlike most of other shops that would most definitely try to sell services such as tire rotation during maintenance, Mr. Cheung told me there was no need to do that right now. I'd highly recommend this shop.
They did a fantastic job. I needed an oil change, inspection, new wipers, they did the works! They even fixed my center console free of charge. Just simply genuine amazing service. I will definitely come back here again.
Best prices, fastest service. Yesterday, I came in for new brakes and in two hours the car was ready to go, along with some other needed services! This would have taken two days at a dealership and cost twice as much. Been coming here for years and always leave with my car running safe and great!

I have been going here for almost 2 years now and I am so grateful. Not only is the location super convenient, but the owner is extremely trustworthy. I have had such a great experience for all of my cars needs and the prices are pretty decent! Visited the garage following friends' recommendations for my Lexus Es330 front wheel bearing replacement. The location is conveniently located in the heart of Chestnut Hill and the facility is clean and well organized. David and Johnny are courteous and very knowledgeable about cars, prompt services and very reasonable rates too! I surely will return for my future car repairs.
Normally, I don't think I'm in the right tax bracket to be doing business in chestnut hill but these guys were so down to earth and welcoming, I didn't feel out of place at all. Dave was great at helping me figure out why my brake light came on. He walked me through the problem and even put the car on the lift to explain what was going on before charging anything. They gave me a really good price and genuinely seemed to want the best for people. They treat people in a way that I thought was lost to the world. 5 out of 5, will go again.
