I recently visited Revolution Recovery to dispose of some old rugs after a long wait, only to be met with an unexpected and frustrating minimum charge of $140. I was taken aback, as I had only a few rugs to dispose of and was not prepared for such a high fee. The staff was polite, but I felt that the pricing structure was not clearly communicated beforehand. It makes waste disposal challenging for those of us with smaller loads who are trying to do the right thing by disposing of items responsibly. I appreciate the importance of waste management, but a minimum charge like this seems excessive for a simple disposal of non-hazardous materials like rugs. I hope Revolution Recovery can reconsider their pricing policy to accommodate customers with smaller disposal needs. Overall, my experience was disappointing, and I likely won't return in the future.

DO NOT GO HERE if you have a box truck. They want to charge you an extra $200. Go to Burns and Co. 4300 Rising Sun Ave. Burns is cheaper per ton too $120 vs $140 and they take cash. To the people who got surprised with the $200 box fee after already dumping that’s so crazy, I wouldn’t let that slide. At least they told me at the start so I could call around. Lady probably should have mentioned that fee when I first called about their rates though.

Called because I was trying to dispose of a residential item , although this company isn’t what I was looking for , the women who answered the phone was very sweet and still was able to refer me somewhere and help me , I thought that was very kind and thoughtful of her , ty so much I appreciated that !

The $200 nuisance fee sucks. If you are looking to tackle a demo project yourself and are interested in "recycling" your clean debris, this is an excellent company! But, we are clearly not welcome with a small truck. I too was in and out in well under 10 minutes with my truck. I hate that there is an unwarranted cost for me to do the ethical thing (according to your social media posts). Don't worry, I'll still be recommending the facility because I'm all for the message and my colleagues at USGBC, Green building, and a few others endorse the recycling. But please figure out how we all can get quality service without being in each-others way. Since it was such a hinderance that the fee now exists, it feels like there is a small-truck demand? I second the Peak vs Off-Peak suggestion. The construction project I regularly do site visits at is empty at 2:30pm (as-in contractor ghost-town), but your facility closes at 5:30pm. I need to write this since I see so many sour box truck drivers complaining. By the way, the boxtruck fee is on a sign clearly marked. The staff is friendly and helpful and don't mind answering questions. This dump is great if you want to be a regular and don't use a box truck. There is almost never a line. I am always in and out within 5-10 minutes. They used to have an issue where box trucks would unload for hours and cause a wait. It sucked sometimes. They implemented a $200 fee for box trucks and now there is no issue. This place is clearly geared towards pros. Most people at this dump are actual dumpster trucks and the remainder is contractors with dump trailers. Like most dumps...you need to be used to it because there is an understanding of where you go and how the traffic flows that's not really marked. Great place though especially if you won't hold up traffic

The place is nice don't get it wrong but they continue to price gouge every few months first they stop doing a prorated fee for loads under 1 ton ,,then they want to hold a credit card next,,, then the raise the prices again but only have a microscopic sign on a side wall where you cannot even see it. This place gives a great story on Google about how they help communities but places like this are the reason people short dump. Crude oil prices have dropped all transport prices have dropped material prices have dropped yet they continue to raise prices month after month . 3 times this year they have made major changes . Scam reported.. I dump a full 1 ton load in 5 minutes by myself. It takes longer for a semi dump to be in and out then me. Also IF YOU HAVE A BOXTRUCK you will be charged 200 dollars to just enter the yard...BE CAREFUL...

This seems to me as price gouging. I don’t come here regularly, but after yesterday morning I won’t come at all. I was asked if I knew about the “box truck fee”. It was posted that all box trucks will pay a 200$ fee. I assume the first ton would be included. I asked why the charge so much. The lady responded by saying it was due to traffic control. She continued by providing examples. “It causes traffic, people stay too long and also they do not know how much stuff is in the truck.” If you look at the picture I provided, you will see that I paid $340 for 160 lbs of trash, and it barely took 10 minutes. I asked if a manager can call me, but none ever did. With the limited supply of flatbeds and/or trucks and the over supply of box trucks, this seems to be taking advantage of people who only have access to rent instead of people have a business doing this. You should make it known that it’s a $200 fee + rather than just saying it’s a $200 fee. That might be perfect English to someone who constantly goes here. Also, maybe provide peak hours where you can justify charging a $200 fee. I recommend looking at another dump place near Rising Ave 19140 section.

Found this dump site based on research of some sites not accepting box trucks. Called and explained that we have a large Uhaul truck and received fee amounts of 140 per ton. Fine! Drove over an hour in traffic in a huge Uhaul only to get there and find out there is an extra $200 fee for box trucks. We no idea nor was this mentioned on the call from the rep who should be accountable for this mishap. I asked the guy if this could be waived since It was never mentioned, he looked over at someone smiled and said no. That’s an example of horrible customer service. We went 30 min away barely making the other place and thankfully they were cheaper. This was not good business at all!

I called to inquire about dropping off some rubbish and explained that I had a UHAUL truck and was quoted the prices and hours and when I got there I was given a note showing a “new box truck surcharge of an additional $200”….Absolutely ridiculous I drove over a hour so I ended up going 30 minutes away to Burns & Co! No fees and cheaper per Ton…. Don’t bring a box truck here under any circumstances! There are plenty of places in the surrounding area just call and do your research. That 200 is flat out greed at its best.

So I been going there for years and today we go there and if you have a box truck they charge a extra $200 which makes no sense so my total was over $500 definitely not acceptable I’ll take my business else where I called the office and she says it’s because inflation ………yeah ok highway robbery !!!!!

I'm always treated quickly from the people at the scale house to the operators in the yard. It's a friendly and efficient operation . Thank you from Lafty Brothers Home Renovations.

I'm using them on a project in Philadelphia, they are on top of things, super responsive to phone calls, emails, etc. They're extremely accommodating and helpful.

I was very happy that I found this place and it was exactly what I was looking for to get rid of excess material with no problem so I'm very happy thank you very much

A little tight for a sleeper truck and 53' van. Extremely busy street. Lots of trash trucks and roll offs buzzing around. Personnel were on the ball and helpful. I loaded scrap paper bales. Swing really wide and come in 2nd entrance. You won't fit on the scale so have to weigh tractor, then trailer. Then back around to the dock. Or pull in the 1st entrance and scale and drive around and blindside into the dock. They leave it up to you.

Tremendous service, navigated tough driveway, extremely punctual, and cost effective. Rented 12yd can on two occasions during home clean out and moving process. Could not be happier with service - from sales (Jamie) to dispatch (Shauna) to the drivers. Would never even consider an alternative for future projects.

Best transfer station in Philadelphia! In and out quickly, yard area is kept clean. They accept pickup trucks, dump trailers and roll-offs, bring them your trash!

Unprofessional, they do not understand business needs. Employees do not respect customers.

Talk about a company that understands the business and is well ahead technologically then anyone else in the area. Starts from the top, the management team has been at this for a while now and they worked everyday to find better ways to break everything down. They did it and will not stop here.......
