I had an incredibly frustrating experience with G-Team Racing. My motorcycle was there for over a month with a simple issue, and I was treated with disrespect and unprofessionalism.
Here's a summary of my experience:
Lack of respect and poor communication: Despite my bike having an acute issue with only 2,300 miles, the owner scoffed at me, theorized I had neglected basic maintenance, and scolded me. He ignored my explanations and treated me like I didn't know anything about my own bike.
Constant delays and broken promises: I was told the bike would be looked at "later that day," but it sat for weeks. I made multiple calls and was given excuses about being "backed up and burnt out" and working alone.
Deceptive practices: When I finally went to the shop after a month. Despite having been repeatedly told the owner was working alone, I found four people working there. I was also told my bike was "on the lift," but I discovered it was sitting outside, untouched.
Indifference to the customer: During my visit, instead of discussing my bike, the owner was more interested in goofing around with my bicycle and telling old stories. When I finally insisted on seeing my bike, he gave me the same theory he had weeks ago, revealing he had done nothing, and then asked me to find and order the parts for him—as if I were the paid mechanic with a garage, tools and staff.
I ended up having my bike towed to a different shop. While G Team promptly refunded my deposit and had helped with minor issues in the past, this experience was insulting and a complete waste of my time. This was my first riding season!
I strongly recommend considering other options. The combination of unprofessional behavior, broken promises, and a lack of respect for the customer's time makes this a shop to avoid.
I had friends who recommended G-Team in the past. I Went there to get an oil change on my Vespa Primavera 150cc that i purchased used. He was was willing to do it asap while I waited. After he inspected the vespa he advised me to wait since the oil was in excellent condition and he didn't want me to waste my money. I appreciate his honesty and will be going back for any future maintenance!
Get straight right now. Gino is the best wrench in the city. Smart, honest and fair. You simply will not get a better job done on your precious bike. I go nowhere else.
I've been taking my bikes there for years. I've tried going to different Kawasaki shops & their fees are astronomical. And they keep my bike for far too many days/weeks at a time. Gino is fair & provides education on performing preventative measures for the bike. His decades of experience shows.
Called for service on My Big Dog said to call him the next week. Did so,said he'd call me back,didn't,Called him again said someone would get back to me,didn't. Seems to be the current trend in Philadelphia.
Awesome people great service and great work ! I took my Marauder there to get tires a brakes done and they hooked me up fast a reliable ! I highly recommend them ! I will be back for more work!

Went to get my tires changed, they pinched the inner tube of both tires and tried to patch it up, instead of just telling me and getting replacement tubes. Now I have to call a tow for a second time because I just discovered my rear tire is flat, just after fixing my front one. The cherry on top is they gouged my rims in the process.
Pretty horrible service.
Gino's a super nice guy, family shop is very nice, and his experience is amazingly deep. Very lucky to have such a solid bike mechanic walking distance from home. A real gem
I called this place in stressful situation and was relieved to discover that the owner is a pleasant professional who actively tries to help you. Gino went out of his way to help me with my scooter issues in freezing rainy weather. I never forget great customer service.
Gino is a no-BS kind of guy. He’s gonna get what you need done in a fair way without ripping you off. I was happy to give him my business and will continue to do so.
Gino's been around for a very long time and there's a reason why. The most knowledgeable man I know. Completely fair and tells it how it is. Not only does he fix your bike, but he teaches you along the way. Have a flat, fixes it, shows you how to do it so you can save the money and learn. Just a simple example but he likes passing on his knowledge to the younger crowd. Man also has a lot of stories. A very unique place where you see such an odd variety of people: the hipsters, non English speakers, little kids who need their tires pumped, disabled vets. All are welcome!
I work with the Tortorices team in center city and we have 50 cc scooters which makes for faster deliveries . And everytime something goes wrong I can definitely say Gino is the best mechanic to go to for a fair price and work.
Gene did a very good job bringing my 2009 Aprilia Scooter back to life. It's was very hard to find someone to service this model scooter and G-Team was able to get the job done at a fair price. I would highly recommend G-Team for scooter repairs.
I just happened to be driving by and stopped to see if he had parts for my '86 quadracer. He was super friendly and he happened to have a part laying around that helped me get back to doing doughnuts. Lol... I'll definitely be going back and would definitely recommend it
I brought my bike to Gene to repair electrical starter and the kickstarter. On his work order he said he reset the starter. After a week I used the starter for the first time and it jammed up on me. I brought it to his attention and he stated that he would have to tear the whole bike apart and did not have the time. A week later my belt was torn to shreds, rendering my bike unrideable. I opened up the cover for the belt and noticed the starter cogs are what tore my belt apart. They were facing up into the path of the belt. I called Gene and explained to him what had happened and he talked me in circles with no resolution. After speaking to other friends they said they had similar problems with him. He didn't mention anything about repairing his own mistakes. I don't trust him and I decided to take my bike to another mechanic. I recommend anybody else with a motorcycle not go to this business because he does not stand behind his work. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and tried to meet him halfway but he declined. I'm mechanically inclined so I know what I'm talking about. My bike is less than a year old.
My first time here with the family looking at everything I had to check out the kx 125 he had after that I had to get it love this 2001 kx 125 runs great looks great Genos shop definitely hooked it up I would recommend this shop to anyone really good people here very honest!!! Thanks geno I appreciate it and I’ll keep you updated on the bike !!!
Honest, helpful and very friendly. I am very happy with our purchase. Everything Gino said was true about the bike, let us see for ourselves and helped make sure it was strapped good to the trailer since we had a ways to go. Thank you Gino and the team!
Owner scheduled two people to see a bike at the same time.... I get to the shop after an hour long drive after agreeing on a time and price for the bike only to find out the bike had just been sold to someone else. I got to watch as someone else wheeled the bike off and signed paperwork.
Needless to say I was extremely frustrated. Owner did nothing to remedy the situation.
If you value your time I wouldn’t do business here.
Gene aka Gino from G-Team Racing, formerly known as Gino’s Cycle Center, is a godsend. He’s amazing—very knowledgeable, honest, patient, and fair... good for a laugh, too! Gino was incredibly accommodating—looked at my scooter immediately upon arrival and took his time working on it, explaining what he was doing (and teaching me) along the way. For any repairs or maintenance (or parts), go see Gino! He’s worth his weight in gold. I highly recommend him. I won’t take my scooter anywhere else. Thank you, Gino!
I have a '85 Honda scooter which had tire valves which were a pain to put air in. Gino replaced the valves with bendable substitutes at fair price. I recommend his shop
Gino is the man and also good at what he does. I recommend this shop for all your scooter or bike needs... it's also a good place with good vibes. He was able to figure what problem I had going on with my scooter when other shops couldn't figure it out...so they told me to go see him as I did ...thanks again.
This old guy attitude sucks he’s very arrogant and nasty and wants to charge someone and arm and a leg without even diagnosing the problem itself. He wants to keep bringing up that his shop been open since 1940 but it definitely doesn’t look professional nor does he acted it. All I seen is bikes laying everywhere and him doing a bunch of nothing worse experience ever‼️🤷🏽♂️
