The mechanic is a good mechanic to take his time to find the Under the hood of the vehicle, his does a great job my Radiator and thermostat on my Nissan Altima ok Five star recommendation.
Told me to send him money to get a part. Arrived an hour later than he said he would .. took an entire day to tell me the part was not correct and left me stranded. Wasn’t able to get more help because it is night time. Don’t think this place is legit, do not recommend.
Went to Lou on 4/20 because my car wouldn’t accelerate past a certain MPH and was told I needed a new catalytic converter. Ordered the piece, him and his friend took 3 days to service my car and within an hour and a half of leaving his shop, I got stuck on 476 and my check engine light came back on so with the same code as before he supposedly fixed it. Contacted him about it and he didn’t have an answer as to what may be wrong, and made no efforts to communicate with me regarding said issue. I thought that giving a neighborhood mechanic a shot would be a good idea but I was wrong because a week and a half later, my car still won’t accelerate past 20 MPH on an incline and I also discovered duck tape on the underside of my car. Him and his “Amigo” didn’t seem to know what they were doing because it shouldn’t take 3 full days (Friday to Sunday) to put a new cat con on. I now have to return to my regular mechanic to properly diagnose and fix my car because this was a hot mess express, never again.
Since Lou responded to this review, I’ll add an update! He wasn’t paid because the work on my car wasn’t properly done, as I found out from my regular mechanic. I called him to notify him that my cars diagnostic came up with the same P0420 code as when I bought it to him, and his only response was “we put the new catalytic converter on” and nothing further. The photo below shows the problem, because a pair of vice grip pliers (from LOU DA MECHANIC) are attached to my catalytic converter and it caused the exhaust to become backed up into the manifold which damaged the new one he put in. I’m not sure why he or his friend who was working on my car left it on, and didn’t check to ensure no tools were attached to my vehicle, but that is why I’m still having issues and now have to purchase a new set of converters and have the work REDONE by someone who knows what they’re doing and doesn’t respond to a review ignorantly. Not only is this a professionalism issue, it’s a dangerous issue because had I not gotten my car re-inspected after he couldn’t give a response I wouldn’t have known a tool was holding the catalytic converter onto the car. I absolutely will never bring my business or recommend anyone to this man based on his work ethic AND the ignorant response received, when he couldn’t even do a simple job such as not leave a tool on my car causing further damage 🙂. You cannot expect to be paid for a job done incorrectly, especially when a customer attempted communication more than once in multiple ways to resolve the issue to no avail.
Super friendly n reasonable knows what he’s doing answers all your questions honestly and doesn’t try n upcharge females will definitely be bringing my car back for all my work
Great mechanic, he went above and beyond to get my parts for a cheaper price and stayed late to get the job done. I had to get a radiator replaced along with breaks and rotors. Very fast and affordable.
Lou is an expert in the field. He was able to identify my issue in minutes and searched everywhere to find the best options and parts for me.
He is God sent, and I will definitely stop by if I need anything for my car in the area!
Lou is a knowledgeable, straightforward, and honest mechanic. My car needed to be jumped to start over and over again and Lou diagnosed it quickly as needing a new battery. He worked with me to find a junkyard where I could get a cheap used one and installed it on the spot. Fair prices. Cashapp or can pay with card via the website.
Wow, I can't say enough about Lou coming through for us when we really needed it the most! We called him last night to see if he could fix our panel and help to install a mirror. We expected him to tell us that he was unavailable. But, to our surprise, he told us to bring it by and that he would take a look at it to see what he could do. When we arrived, he quickly started working on the panel and fixed it within minutes. We watched him problem-solve on how to install our mirror. He was nothing short of amazing. His pricing was extremely reasonable. We highly recommend Lou for all of your automotive needs!
