This rating is based on customer reviews, inventory size, pricing, and service quality
Based on the latest available reviews in Philadelphia, PA, Capstone Towing Company earns a mixed-but-positive 73/100. Many praise fast arrivals (often under an hour), careful handling, courteous dispatchers and drivers, and transparent, reasonable pricing. However, recurring complaints cite unanswered calls, hang‑ups, long waits, and allegations of subcontracting with unexpected price hikes. Customer service ranges from compassionate to inconsistent. No insights on parts inventory or yard organization—this is a towing service. Overall: reliable when they pick up, but pricing/wait times vary.

What clients say about Capstone Towing Company in Philadelphia (PA)
In the cutthroat world of Philadelphia business, time is money. When my luxury sedan decided to throw a tantrum en route to a meeting, I called Capstone Towing Company expecting delays. Instead, they orchestrated a seamless tow. There transparency on costs was refreshing—no upcharges, just results. In a city of hustlers, they're the real deal for professionals on the go.
Wrecked my bike off a sketchy trail near Philly—total wipeout. Capstone didn't judge, just winched it out of the mud like pros. Quick, no drama, and they threw in trail tips. 10/10 adrenaline recovery!
As an elderly widow in Philadelphia, I was terrified when my car stalled in the rain. Capstone Towing Company answered my call with such kindness—the dispatcher stayed on the line until help arrived, and the young man who came was like a grandson, explaining everything gently and even helping me with my groceries while towing. God bless them; they've earned a spot in my prayers.
Yo, Capstone Towing in Philly? Absolute legends. My friends old beater conked out to a party and instead of the usual hassle, their guy shows up with this high-tech diagnostic gadget, figures out it's the alternator in seconds, and tows me without a single ding – saved me big $$ at the mechanic - Felt like I was in a sci-fi movie—efficient and didn't break the bank. Philly drivers, bookmark these folks!
My car was in a difficult position, with the undercarriage stuck in a snow bank on a local street. The dispatch coordinators were clear and helpful. The man operating the tow truck was especially professional, strategic, and effective: he recovered my vehicle from the tight situation with care and without any damage. The wait was less than an hour. Thanks for the excellent service!
For reference, the job # was 232287. Please pass along my thanks, again, to the driver.
The tow truck driver helped me out of an impound situation and didn’t make me feel stressed at all. Super friendly and reasonable pricing for the distance too.
I was stuck in the middle of the night with a dead battery near Philly on our yearly leaf watching trip to the Poconos. Capstone showed up in 30 minutes like the lady mentioned on the phone. The price was totally reasonable considering that it was like 1am in the wee hours. Family was freaking out so I was so glad they showed up quickly. I would’ve paid more honestly.
Fast and efficient service. Driver was professional and my car was towed out of the street with zero problem. price was as stated. Would use again if needed
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! $270 for a 6 miles tow. Capstone towing does not exist, they subcontract the tow to the cheapest company in the area. You will pay a huge price and wait for 2 1/2 hours. Save yourself a headache and call a real local company like cioffi's towing.
$250 for a job that South Philly Towing Company does for $125. They originally offered me a rate of $150, then the driver jacked it up $100. Asked why, and he said it was due to mileage; then when I asked for the breakdown/where he’s coming from he said it was actually a flat rate. Made a couple of other excuses, sketchy scam
my car broke down in center city at 3am and i called capstone towing company and they were there to get my car within a hour and it was back to my house in the northeast in a hour ! was also a great price. driver was very nice, will definitely call again if needed !
