Fantastic local co-op grocery store, they offer monthly coupons to members, for example: $5 off Fruit or Veg. Purchase of $10+ They also offer 10% off when you order items in case amounts! With many locations in the Seattle area they are definitely starting to become a good option!

I had an uncomfortable experience during checkout earlier this week. The cashier asked me if my groceries were for an online order. While this may seem like a small question, it felt like an assumption based on how I look rather than anything I said or did. As a brown person, this echoed a familiar pattern of being perceived as someone “picking up for others” rather than a regular customer. I don’t believe harm was intended, but these kinds of assumptions matter. They reinforce stereotypes and can make customers feel singled out or out of place. I wanted to share this feedback in the hope that it helps build more awareness and a more inclusive experience for everyone.

Always a great experience at Pcc, staff is kind and helpful. Parking lot is tight but people are always coming and going so relatively easy to get a spot

I had a very upsetting safety incident in this store today, and the staff’s response left me feeling unsafe. While I was inside, a man approached me in a way that made me feel unsafe. I raised my voice several times and said clearly “Get away from me” and was going to speak loudly to get help. Instead of walking away, the man chose to continue making me uncomfortable and test my boundaries, he said “do it.” Two employees in the deli area and another employee handing out samples all were all within proximity to hear the incident, but didn’t acknowledge me, check in, or see if I needed assistance. While I didn’t expect the deli workers to step in themselves. They should’ve went and got security. Luckily, because the disturbance started outside of the store and his behavior was so crazy. I turned my video on my phone before entering the store. The captured the timing of events,. He approached me at the Taqueria shortly after I put my phone away. After I finished checking out, I went to speak with the employees at the front. The manager and a male employee (medium-length hair) were already with me. At that moment, the same man reapproached us, stood nearby and was staring. I pointed and said, “that is him”, he replied, “She flipped me off,” as if trying to justify his earlier aggression. When I began to respond, the manager told me not to speak to him, which left me standing there while he continued to stare at me in an intimidating, predatory way. This was not a single interaction — it was a prolonged pattern of him following me, confronting me, returning again, and watching me while I was reporting the incident. I do want to acknowledge that at the very end, a male employee did walk me out to my car, and I appreciated that support. However, the lack of response from anyone earlier — when I was clearly distressed and vocalizing that I felt unsafe — made the situation much more frightening than it needed to be. All of this started simply because he rolled through a stop sign and honked — a clear “I don’t yield to you” message that escalated into intimidation. I’m sharing this because customer safety matters, and I hope the store will provide better training for how to respond when someone is being harassed.

Really not a fan of what's happened to the deli counter with everything pre-packaged and self-serve now. Anything to reduce labor costs I guess but I'll probably start coming here a lot less now

Their bakery is top notch with lots of gluten free options. Honestly some of the better gf options than most other bakeries

Local and organic... ...I care about where my money goes and what healthy foods go into my body by shopping here.

We are out of towners, but we love this grocery store! Our daughter and her husband live in the area and we enjoy visiting PCC community market. We are always amazed at the wide selections of premade meals, salads, etc. Lots and lots of options for meat and fish, ready for the grill. We very much wish that we had access to such a fantastic store.

I love PCC, and I love the rooftop deck at this location. It goes perfectly with my vegan slice of pizza and other delicious vegan items from the deli! Considering there is a wonderful vegan restaurant in the same parking lot, the fact that I choose to eat at this grocery store says a lot! This grocery store itself has a wonderful variety of natural and gourmet foods to serve all diets. With hot foods ready to go home for dinner, this place is a family's best friend! Every corner of the store, even the health and beauty section, is full of high quality and healthy products and gifts!

A fun, easy place to find food food, snacks, drinks. Friendly staff, sat out on the comfortable top of the roof of the store, seeing a cool view of Ballard!

This place is very awesome! Friendly staff, very open and willing to help you, easy going and inviting. Willing to take the time to help you and not rush you. I like how you are able to have samples of some of the items. I like how natural and more healthy this place is. Can be on the spendy side not going to lie but at least it's good quality and not cheap sys you don't know anything about.

Excellent vegan options at their deli. They have great options at the counter with salad bar and a hot food bar.

Lots of organic, healthy, and local options. Foods and sundries with high standards in a clean welcoming environment. Plenty of great deli and snack options hot and cold for on the go. Don’t forget to check out the seating and views from the rooftop deck!

If you’re a Black male between the ages of 18-35 and using the self-checkout machine, you will have at least two staff members monitoring your every move like a hawk. This might be because no other Black person has visited the shop all day, and folks are just curious and want to connect, or they could be suspicious and low-trusting. You don’t really know, and you never will. Other than that, it’s a great shopping experience. The chipotle chicken burrito was delicious. Update: Upon further reflection, it dawned on me that staff members at the self-checkout areas can be incredibly conscientious and hardworking. They may be trained to observe customers so they can be readily available and responsive to anyone needing assistance with the machines or experiencing technical issues. What I initially perceived as monitoring behavior might actually be their genuine commitment to providing excellent customer service, regardless of skin color or appearance.

My favorite Seattle area natural food store. Their prepared foods are exceptionally delicious and nutritious. You can get a large pizza, made to order, with as many of the toppings as you wish for a flat rate of $17.99. Takes 15 mins after you place order. It's convenient to grab a few things while it's being prepped and baked!

We just had the worst customer service experience ever at this PCC. While the store seems lovely, the cashier at the front, Stephan, was extremely rude to us. They came over to check out licenses and were immediately rude and condescending. They didn’t even provide the service they said they would (another employee came to check us through a few minutes later) and told us to “not get too drunk“ off the one bottle of wine we bought with our groceries. They also told us that reading our birth dates off our licenses “takes me longer when people are mad at me”. I wasn’t mad at that point, just surprised and taken aback. I try to treat all employees with the respect and kindness due us all and am genuinely disappointed that the same could not be reflected back at me and my partner.

I’ve been a loyal shopper at PCC for a long time, often stopping by to purchase groceries and enjoy the community atmosphere. However, during my most recent visit, I was asked to leave in the middle of my shopping trip. I was accused of stealing items on a previous visit, which is absolutely untrue. To make matters worse, the items I intended to purchase that day were confiscated, and I wasn’t allowed to buy them. This experience was humiliating and upsetting. I wanted to have a cry session in my van after being escorted out because I felt unsafe to drive but was told I needed to leave the property at once. I have always shopped here in good faith and have been nothing but a respectful customer. I hope PCC reconsiders how they handle such situations, as this has deeply affected my trust in the store I once loved!

Olive oil prices are high in 2024. PCC has 2 and 3 Liter metal jugs for prices lower than Costco, and free of plastics contamination. Perfect for Zero waste kitchens with Olive Oil emphasis. The store itself is also fabulous overall. Great staff and selection, excellent deli and fresh stock, wide aisles, and quick checkout.

Medium-Large location in a very busy corner by the Ballard bridge. There is a parking lot, still it's hectic. But I love PCC. I've been a member since I was a teen... Over 30 years. Great deli and produce. Sales for members are nice. Wonderful staff.

1. PCC does not make everything from scratch from the deli. PCC uses third party vendors for everyday items you eat from the hot bar or the food items in the fridge. 2. Food from the kitchen is not prepared correctly due to short staffing. Staff is being overloaded with different tasks which leaves them no time to make efficient and tasty recipes. There isn't enough training provided at the Ballard location to provide A grade recipes for the customers. 3. The employees will sometimes change the dates on products from the deli such as "cookies, pastries, specific sandwiches, etc" based on how low they are getting on inventory. 4. The security here is very aggressive and and practically stalking every homeless looking person who comes into the store. I witnessed a normal person using the bathroom and made a complaint that the security officer followed them into the bathroom. That's a invasion of privacy if you ask me.. 5. Make sure to check for cross contamination with gluten, vegan, items. I witness employees wear the same gloves for preparing vegan and meat products within the kitchen.

This is a great grocery store, although the price is a bit expensive, but it is of good quality and has many varieties. I found items today that I cannot find in other stores because my English is not good, especially skin care products and nutritional vitamins. The beautiful shopping guides were very patient in helping me and made me happy and relaxed to shop. The two beauties at the cashier were also great. In short, you will definitely be my first choice when buying from you in the future👍🌹🌹🌹

What a wonderful store!! Love that this is in our beautiful neighborhood. Everything in this store is such a great price and quality. But make sure to greet your neighborhood Ballard PCC Barista Wesley because he definitely throws down behind that counter and with exceptional customer service. I give this store A++++*

It's true when they say "early bird gets the worm" because I had no idea this place has such an amazing soup selection until I got there before noon. I usually come in the PM and rarely get to see interesting soups like "loaded potato and bacon" or "coconut curry chicken". The price is fair for what you get ($4.99 for a cup and $6.99 for a pint). Customer service is great. The self checkout attendant with painted nails (Saturday, noon) saw me struggling with two pints of soup after I paid and offered to tape them. The pints made it home safe (:

This store is absolutely gorgeous. From the moment you walk in and see the neat Octopus hanging from the ceiling to the expertly merchandised products, the attention to detail, the fresh selections, and all the helpful staff, there is just something that feels exquisite about this store. The hot bar is pretty tasty too. The only negative is that this store is removed from many of the apartment buildings in Ballard, so it can be inconvenient to shop here if you don't have a car.

UPDATE: I am very grateful that the store director wrote me a beautiful long email. I'm happy to go back to the store and see some better attitudes of the people I'm shopping with. I hope that PCC is creating a positive impact to our community of small businesses in Ballard. OLD review: I'm not impressed by the store anymore after the poor treatment from a cashier. I expect you to say hello or goodbye or at least offer the people behind us with her arms full space to put things down. The holidays are hard on everybodybut not having basic manners or being courteous to other people is unacceptable from customer service jobs. At least the lady in cosmetics was friendly and helpful. But I'm going to stick to Ballard Market for better customer service and prices.

Coffee is fair to good, coffee price is good. It becomes time consuming when the barista makes you go and pay for it first at the regular check stand and come back. The Freemont location did not do that to me. They have good selection of cookies and baked goods at medium to premium prices. No/Poor Enter/Exit signs in the underground parking garage.

About the same size as Fremont PCC. Has great selections of healthy groceries. Their salad bar and hot deli are top notch! Also there is a cafe past the cashier sections where you can order food and drinks. There is a DLine stop nearby which is very convenient for bus riders! 👍🚌
