Bought an oil filter plier that was repackaged on Sunday. Didn’t end up needing or using the part, & lost the receipt. Went back on Wednesday to return the part to the same store, Joshua was no help but responded with attitude letting me know I had to come back another day for a store manager to assist me to return a $25 part. Was lied and told my phone number wasn’t able to pull up a receipt and was only used for warranty (which is not true), also was told there was no manager which didn’t sound right when asked. Once I asked again if there was any type of manager on duty he let me know there was an assistant manager and he was not gonna be able to help me. Called another location spoke to a manager relayed the information given to me and he had let me know that was incorrect and the associate should have been able to assist me. When the assistant manager Isiah (who was infront and heard my call) decided to finally speak to me to handle the return doubled down on his own attitude and vouch for the misinformation provided by Joshua. Did handle my return after the verbal exchange. Truly can’t believe the customer service provided to a Veteran nor can I believe the back and forth that had to be done for a simple return. Isiah should use his meta glasses that he had on while assisting me to record the misinformation and poor customer service given by him and his associate (Joshua) so he can improve for future customers. Truly terrible service gentleman. Refrain from these liars if you go to this store!
I had a problem with the Oriellys on Roosevelt road. And with one phone call this store the manager asked me for my account number and within minutes my problems was solved. The other Oriellys staff said my account number wasn't in there system and they couldn't add me in because only a store manager could do it and they didn't have one on duty. And they treated very disrespectful. I needed a Idling pully for a 2005 jeep grand Cherokee
I randomly went in this automotive store and was overwhelmed by the professional service I received.
The young man who assisted me was Joshua. He ran a series of test on my vehicle, explained the findings while answering my questions. I asked for the
manager, Mr. Sanchez so that I could tell him how fantastic the services were and he was obviously the source of the reason the store was top notch.

Never have any issues finding what I need here for a car or motorcycle. Employees here are generally very helpful too. Also never had to wait too long and has a good return policy.
I was in your store on December 11 2023 to buy a cv joint axle for my car but the so called manager that morning wouldn’t give me my warranty for my part my number was in the computer but he claimed he didn’t see where I had any warranty but I went to another oreilly and got service they seen that I had warranty right away but you know what I think it’s a racist act I’m black and he’s Mexican 8:00 o’clock in the morning never shop this store again…2551 West Cermack Road Chicago Illinois 60608 OREILLY AUTO PARTS. -[Same thing happened to me again with the manager there wouldn’t even give me credit for a brand new part I purchased from them now the store in Cicero had no problem correcting the problem gave me a gift card which was fine with me because the censor wasn’t doing me any good every time they act like the parts I purchased doesn’t show up under my phone number go to the other oreillys they seem to always find everything now this was APRIL 18 2025]
Closed the doors before closing time and just stood there on their phones. I already knew what I needed and was gonna be in and out. Rushed there just to be ignored at the door. As someone with a commercial account, this is extremely annoying. I get we all want to go home, but posted hours are posted hours and people will hold you to that, the same as any other business.
Johnathan was super helpful! In the course of 30 minutes he helped assist 3 customers outside with bulbs and windshields! Keep up the awesome work! O’Reilly has an amazing leader that is customer focused!!!
Came here yesterday for a new key fob battery because mine was almost dead. The gentleman at the counter was kind enough to replace it for me cause I didn’t know how. Great customer service! Thanks again!
Excellent customer service. The gentleman who helped me knows the product very well and extremely polite. Do not go to Autozone and cermak. They saw me parking and rushing, it is only 820pm, they close at 9pm according to their website, but instead he immediately closed the door, run inside and pretend he saw nothing.
Come to O’Reilley instead!
Let me start by saying that I'm from Rochester, NY. I was visiting town for our first Riot Fest with my friend and we decided we would take the 10hr drive rather than another mode of transportation. Not knowing what we were getting into (and possibly in a little over our heads), we parked our car near your store and walked to nearby Douglass Park for the festival. Little did I know at the time I had not fully disengaged my ignition, and I ended up letting the battery die. When we came back to the car a few hours later to grab a couple things we left behind, I discovered my mistake. Luckily, when we went into the store, your extremely friendly and knowledgeable employee Eric (I believe that was his name) helped me out with buying a portable battery charger. When I had trouble getting my car started still after my purchase, Eric went FAR above and beyond to help me understand every little thing that was going wrong and even got it started for me with some quick thinking and ingenuity. The anxiety of travelling to another city and then realizing the hard way that you were ill-prepared is a shock to system sometimes. Eric was polite, friendly, knowledgeable, quick, efficient... I can't rave enough about how much his help really meant to my buddy and I. I never really shopped at O'Reilly before this (we do have them where I'm from), but now I plan to shop there from now on whenever I need anything auto related. Thank you, Eric. Give that man a raise!
Very friendly staff, helped me in finding what I was looking for in few minutes for a great value. Their on site services as well as the web store allow the users to check out the part compatibility with the vehicle of interest and provide you with the right component in seconds. Will be back for retrieving standard vehicle maintenance parts.
Stoppped in here when I noticed I was leaking coolant and talked to a Caesar. He was super helpful, talked to me about what he thought the problem was, what I needed to do to fix it and gave me the name of a garage nearby and everything got worked out. Thank you!
Store manager Ceaser and staff does an excellent job. I personally drive from McHenry Ill because there service is not even rivaled by other stores including its own company stores.
Omar the evening employee answered all my questions over the phone and insisted to come in person to take care of what I needed help with. He was very formal and professional and solved all my concerns. I came inside the office and me in person with professionalism and great customer service. Thank you Omar.
If I didn't have to post a star I wouldn't even supposed to start for O'Reilly's Auto parts there on Cermak and Rockwell I was attended to by a guy named Frank and I have to say that he was rude and l train I called various times in the same person Frank hung up on me several times. I find it to be very rude disrespectful and wasting my time because I'm busy taking care of other customers who need their auto's tended and repaired. I won't be going to the AutoZone on Cermak and Rockwell anymore because of this individual Frank that really ruin the situation for me and my customers.
Teresa was amazing, she helped me pick out the perfect windshield wipers for my new minivan, she gave excellent expert advice on why I should purchase them, after purchasing the items she offered to install them for me as well, thank you so much, it would have taken me much longer to figure that out Teresa, you're the best, I highly recommend everyone to use this store for your auto parts and supplies, thanks again!
Their ads and signs say free check engine light tests. But when you go in they tell you that they don't due them now because of Covid. That's fine, bit take the signs down and stop running the ads if you don't provide the service.
this cold afternoon this car parts and was online to pay and behind me there was an African American when I passed he wanted them to have it first and he started yelling and started saying things and I understand I understand the person who attended him first to he before he started to break everything and tell him that discriminating against people stop doing that for people who behave in this way they harm those of more African Americans
The guy that reviewed before me (Raphael) does not know what hes talking about. Celeste knows what she's doing. She was ALREADY helping the couple. Im a regular and she's always willing to help. ANYBODY! A check engine light is a FREE service. So if there's a line of paying customers, you HAVE to wait. Its only obvious. The staff is always nice here and willing to help.
Celeste R. Needs to be moved to another location. It's apparent that she has issues with black people. I went in to get a quart of oil and to have my car checked out because of the check engine light being on and she told me that I had to wait until she finished with her other customers. I waited and was next in line after another couple she was servicing. I guess they had a similar problem and wanted the check engine light checked out. She then proceeded to go and check it for them and kept me waiting. Horacio B. was kind enough to stop what he was doing and help me out.
This Store is so amazing!! Their Customer service skills are always On point & they always help me into the job is done their one of the Best auto stores in the Chicago land :-) I highly recommend a store.
I just went here recently and bought a new battery for my 2017 Kia Sportage and the guys was pretty good with the service. The woman that answered the phone was good as well they also installed the battery and gave me money off for the core charge. Good service

I wish I could give less than a star. These clowns are of no assistance. My car battery died across the street from their store. I asked the curly haired clown if he could assist. He proceeded to tell me that he could charge my battery for free if I bring my car to him. I reminded him that I walked over here from across the street where my dead ass battery rests. Then he offered another useless suggestion by telling me to remove the battery from my car. I told him I would need some tools. He then replied, "Oh yeah, you're right." I asked about a jump start pack. He steered me to the section. I asked if this would be helpful right now, he nodded. After that he sauntered his clown ass over to his friends to chat. I buy the charger pack only to open it up and read that it needs to be charged in order to charge. If you can stay far away from these unprofessional bums.
The guys were fast at telling me a price but did not offer the help to install a simple part as other places would. And i am pregnant and was not able to do it myself. I had to go in a get a part borrowed from them and even then they dint offer the help.
