I gone here for years . Great place with good warranty but i bought a alternator from them yesterday but the issue was not my alternator. I paid 300 for it I figure i take it back like I have done before but today I go to return part . The guy tells me they have a stock fee . I said there no sign in your store that says that also your reciet doesn't say that either . The guy yesterday never says you have a new policy . He said he let the boss know . But funny thing about it is he read the reciet to try n show me but saw nothing. I said there nothing . I told him, if they had told me there was a stock fee I might of not bought it . You should tell ppl about it . He said I let my boss know. Then reciet says miscellaneous sale . I told him it doesn't say stock fee . He told me system puts it like that . They had to test send in the part to make see if it's good . I said I just bought it. Plus you have a test machine there . Then tell me they have to clean it I told him it's not dirty . Where you see dirt at .

Such an amazing place. Every time I go there. I'm surprised with quality parts, at a great price. They understand it's hard out here. The last thing we need to do is pay top dollar and extra for car parts that we're trying to fix ourselves.. so we could get to work. This place has quality products as well as a sincere heart. Willing to help you out if they're able to. From advice to just putting on windshield wipers, this place beyond nice. Thankful for places like this, that still exist... ... ..

Cano always has great prices and amazing customer service every time I come here I leave a happy customer! They have always been helpful, kind and educational when it comes to things you don't understand or have questions about. They're not like those places that just want to sell you the part and charge an arm and a leg for it. They pay attention to detail. Everytime I go in there I have always had a great experience with every single sales person. The patience these employees have is amazing! Bless them because theres always those rude pain in the behind customers that I wouldn't have the patience deal with! But these guys at CANO have so much patience and provide great service regardless of the hard time some of these delusional customers I've witnessed while I'm waiting for my turn in line. Needless to say I recommend this place highly if you want great prices and amazing customer service!

The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, but I especially want to give a shout-out to Misael in customer service. He went above and beyond to assist me, taking the time to answer all of my questions and making sure I got exactly what I needed. His professionalism and friendly attitude made the entire process smooth and stress-free. I'll definitely be returning to for all my future auto part needs. Highly recommend!

I wouldn't by another alternator from them I had to change it twice for 3 different vehicles and then Everytime is on the warranty it expired not only I had to pay the mechanic twice

Misael was great, had issues with a battery. They looked it up, replaced it right away, I was in and out within 3 minutes. Couldn't ask for more!

UPDATE: As of 07/12/2023...the battery they sold me was not good for my truck....I have a 2018 Jeep Compass. They were nice enough to switch the battery and showed me it was a good battery and tested the battery in front of me. However it was not strong enough for my truck which has the stop/start feature. I got told by my mechanic that the battery is not strong enough for my car... I would say is that if you have a newer car with a lot of features do not get a battery from here... I had called to get a price for a battery and the guy that answered was very informative! Told me about every battery that was in stock and gave me options. Then I went to the store and Misael helped me and was also informative and very helpful.

After getting the run around from auto zone for a simple alternator that turned into a mission impossible Canos was my last option. After there great customer service and experience on top of there affordable pricing they will be my first choice from now on. Made me feel like I was in a shop that cared about my business.

Highly recommend Cano auto parts. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They were able to help me rebuild my starter that I wasn't able to get done anywhere else and even waited after closing for me to come and pick it up. Definitely check them out if you need electronic car parts!

The staff here has always been friendly to me. So far, I've purchased batteries, starters, and alternators from them and they consistently have better prices than the competition.

they're a great company that stand behind their products. if you buy a starter from them, buy the extended lifetime warranty for it if you plan on keeping that car for a while. In my case, I've bought 1 starter with lifetime warranty and have swapped it out for 3 times now for a fresh starter throughout the lifetime of my nissan sentra. couldnt recommend them enough. the only downside is that the starters dont come with the gasket covering which might cause things to get inside and fail prematurely but I've always just reused my old gasket sealer when I swap my starter out for a new one. not having a new gasket isnt enough to knock off a star due to their exceptional service, price, and quality. I'll be back when this starter dies in another 3-4 years haha.

I bought my Chevy Malibu alternator here for a real good deal did some price searching before hand and they were by far the cheapest in price compared to auto-zone & advanced auto, plus the staff is super cool and they were also very helpful, I will definitely be recommending them to my friends and family. Tks Guys : )

Very professional, very helpful, and very friendly. I went to AutoZone and was going to pay 100$ after I was told my battery was shot. After going here, I was told my battery was perfectly fine and I needed a battery post terminal and ended up spending THREE DOLLARS AND EIGHTY SIX CENTS!

Friendly staff with good prices on parts. They saved me a lot of money on a fuel pump.

I bought a reconditioned battery from these guys about 8 months ago. It still functions perfectly. I have a pickup with a large engine (bought used). The existing battery was underpowered for the engine and had a bad cell. They removed the old battery from my truck which was totally dead just down the street from their store. They tested it and replaced it with a remanufactured battery that exceeded the specs for my vehicle. They even tested a bunch of replacement units to find the one with the highest cranking amperage. Everything was done within 10 minutes and at half the cost of a new battery from a big chain store. I thought I might have a defective alternator, which they also tested (no charge). Given my predicament, they could have taken advantage of me, instead they gave me the best bang for my buck.

Finally made over to the Cano Auto Parts store on Pulaski after having been at their other store in Waukegan. This store also has great customer service, good prices, and a good selection. I highly recommend either store if you're looking for auto parts.

Car died right in front of their shop at night, i think they were closing. The young man "Mike" was beyond helpful! Never tried pushing the sale! Tried diagnosing the car to make sure its the alternator, so i dont spend money on something i dont need. Tried to think of every option i would have to get my car back home. I ended up buying a battery just to get the car to safe location and 2 days later bought an alternator. Once again the same guy helped me out. Checked my car, suggested a shop near by, so i didnt have to risk driving it far and having my car die on the way. Would go there again and would suggest you all to go there too. Refurbed alternator cost me a 3rd of a new one and still has a year warrantee. Cant complain at all! But still will... They should open up a repair shop in the back so they could sell u the part and put it on...

Great experience, Misael was of great help since I walked in. Checked my starter, gave some advice on how to diagnose the problem , you could tell he wanted to help. Perfect example of customer service.

Above and beyond great service. They helped me find a starter for my 44 yr old boat that would have cost 3 times the price elsewhere. Seriously good guys with the customers interests coming first!

My friend Renee recommended Cano Auto Parts as a friendly, customer service oriented and knowledge auto parts store in the neighborhood and right she was! They had what I wanted, didn't overcharge me, and gave me tips on how to prevent future problems. I told Renee about a vintage furniture store not far away and now she told me about Cano. I guess it's my turn now. LOL

I so happy with the service and prices at CANO AUTO PARTS that I'm writing this review while in their shop. I needed a battery and these guys sell Northern and Staab batteries which I know from experience are quality brands. I bought a Northern 24F for my Nissan and I was in and out of the shop in less than 5 minutes.
