Visiting Chicago over the Memorial Day holiday weekend. The catalytic converter for our car was stolen the morning we were scheduled to return home. Giovanni and the crew repaired the vehicle in a matter of hours. We were on the road just after Noon. Great people doing good work.

When I got a flat tire nearby, I called several shops in the area, and VMB ended up being a great choice! Giovanni was able to get me in right away, install a new tire quickly, and even sent Saul to drop me off and pick me up while my car was being fixed. This shop isn't in my neighborhood, but I'll definitely keep them in mind next time I need my car looked at!

Prices are very fair and the customer service is excellent. VMB is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. they do everything to work with your budget. If in any case you need work done on your engine, brakes or muffler, go ahaed and look for Giovanni, Danny, Saul. Everybody were accommodating. Honest people working in this shop. I couldn't find a space to type in, so just a thank you for my tire rotation and wheel covers on March 10 to Giovanni. 3/21/25 Mary and Miguel we're very polite and helpful. Your new place is very small. I didn't see a washroom. And for me it's far. But I felt the service was very good and the price was reasonable, so I'll probably come again in 6 months. Thank you.

The workers here were super helpful with explaining the issue with my car and honest and upfront with the cost! The repair ended up being cheaper than the quote due to how efficiently they were able to complete it, and once again they were extremely honest and knocked off almost half of the expected cost! One of the workers even offered to help me drop off my car half an hour before they opened to accommodate my schedule. Couldn’t have asked for better service!

The BEST! After our car’s catalytic converter was stolen, VMB repaired it at a reasonable price. We truly appreciate their work and will definitely return if we ever need help again. The team is incredibly kind and willing to assist, making us feel fully supported. Thank you, VMB!

Giovanni was great. I called and he was able to get me in right away. I came in with a dead battery and he replaced it and was able to get it covered under the warranty all in under 2 hours. They also checked my car for any other possible issues. Great customer service and convenient location. I highly recommend!

Giovanni and his staff went above and beyond to accommodate me after my brakes failed on the highway. Everyone at VMB Automotive were friendly, kind, and efficient which had me back on the road as quickly as possible.

Nice guys to do business with. They are quick and reasonably priced. Replaced my Ford Expedition muffler while I waited and did not have to change any other parts.

Went in to see if my vehicle was in good condition to take it for the emissions test since it had failed the emissions test before. I had taken the vehicle to my mechanic and his scanner showed a problem with the front catalyst converter. At VMB they connected their scanner and check it for any inconsistencies and it was in in good condition to take it for the emissions test. The manager filled the form that I got from the emissions test which they did asked me for it at the emissions testing station. My vehicle did pass the emissions test with no problems and I was able to renew my plate sticker. I would HIGHLY recommend VMB Automotive for their HONESTY,they could have made me buy unnecessary parts that my vehicle did not needed but instead they conducted in a very professional manner and for this I will come again for future repairs. Big fan of the service here! I love how they show me exactly what needs to be repaired and why. This return visit I went in for an oil change-they got me in immediately and it was like 15 minutes! While I was there I asked if they could install my new license plate and pretty frame. It’s been in my van for like a year because we could not get the old one off. Screws were stripped and rusted but I thought it was be easy for them. It was not easy! Three men, several attempts to remove it and I felt bad and I told them they could give up. But they did give up. They like had to use fire to get it off but they did it!!! So my plates are current and the frame is sparkly! That was above and beyond service! And they had a free bowl of fruit! Nice touch.

I was referred for exhaust work to Velasquez Mufflers & Brakes by Paul with Toyota seeing my car is over 16 years old. The folks at Velasquez Mufflers were so friendly and very professional, and allowed me to see the before and after which gave me more of a feeling of trust. I appreciate the discounted costs, and again how friendly and professional the staff was. I would highly recommend their services.

Thank you Miguel and Crew for the great speedy work... came into the shop not knowing the exact problem I was having with my muffler. When my car was on the lift, they showed me exactly where the issue was and what needed to be repaired. Took them a little over a hour, couldn't ask for a better experience. I'll be back soon for my next project!!

I went to Velasquez to get a second opinion on replacing my muffler. Met with Miguel he was very informative and explained exactly what needed to get done.. The price was a lot more reasonable than the first place I went to. I would recommend this place for the great customer service and reasonable prices .

Wonderful, honest, and professional shop. I came in because my front breaks were squeaky and my tire pressure light was on. Same day, they gave a reasonable estimate and had my break pads and roters replaced. They filled my tires and said the tires are just fine, didn’t try selling anything. They even washed my car. I couldn’t be happier with the service and the price.

Walked in without an appointment to see if they would install a performance muffler I bought online. Miguel was very courteous, agreed to do the work right away and even picked up my vehicle from my office. His whole team is very friendly. The fit and welding looks great. They did custom exhaust work on another one of my cars 10 years ago and that work is still holding up great. Thanks guys!

I called their office the minute they opened at 8AM on 8/16/23 and even though there was no response, I received a callback right away. I explained that the afternoon before I could feel a scraping when I used the breaks. I didn’t want to drive the car with the scraping sound and damage it more. I asked how long it would take. A timeframe could not be given because my car need to be inspected. Danny told me that he would try his best to get it done in an hour an a half. Danny explained to me the plan and I was at the car shop around 8:45AM. I thought it was the front break pads but Danny confirmed it was the ones in the back. He explained and showed me the system that is part of the breaks. He showed me where the rotor was vs the break pad. It was great to see the actual part of my car that needed repair. I took a picture before the work and after. I was amazed at how nice the new parts looked on my car. Christian at the from desk gave me a quote with the break down and went to pick up the parts for my car. All in all friendly and informative. I was ready to be on my way by around 10:30AM. I’m really happy with my experience and would recommend them.

These guys are awesome! Called and went in the same day. Everyone I spoke to was super nice and knowledgeable about everything. Danny, the mechanic, is great. He did a quick diagnosis and walked me through everythig he'd be doing. And the inspection of the work i was given after speaks for itself. He even fixed up some of my own exhaust work for me. Great shop, run by nice people, that do good work!

Exhaust rusted out and it was dragging on the floor on the way to work. Called ahead of time, told them what my situation was and got there 30 mins before closing. Quoted me a fair price and got it done before closing! Appreciate the fast service and helping me!

Went there for oil change. The car was inspected and it turned out the cabin AC filter should be replaced. All was well remove one star because the cabin air filter cover was not put back as it was. It was simply left open, one screw went missing. Later the technician was able to redo the work, put the cover properly and found the missing screw(lock). The place was pretty cool, with a lot of exhausts pipes and parts.

Excellent customer service from the moment I walked in, to the moment I left! The mechanic checked my car's problem, explained the issue, what needed to be replaced, and gave a very fair price. From start to finish, I did not wait long at all! Great communication, great price, wonderful service, quick but thorough repair... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND VELASQUEZ! They definitely now have a customer in me!

Took my 2014 infinity Q 60 S to get a resonated muffler delete install on my exhaust. The guys for professional and careful with my car. The exhaust came out perfect and sounds amazing. I would definitely recommend.

I have been taking my car in for repairs to Velazquez on Belmont several times. When I took my 2003 Toyota Highlander the past Saturday I was quickly greeted by Angel the Manager. I told him my issue and quickly had my car brought back. He offered coffee and donuts they had in the waiting area. Shortly after he called me back to explain why may car was making the noises it did. I had two areas in which there was a leak and therefore causing the issues. He explained what needed to be done in details and told me how much it was going to cost me. He said they can work on it right away and I would be able to leave with it fixed the same day. I decided to have it fixed. About 1 hour the car was complete, Angel and the mechanic Johnny brought me back and showed me the completed work. I couldn’t believe how fast it was done. What a great job! Angel even gave me advice on how important it is to wash underneath the cars to remove the salt after it snows because that does terrible damage. I couldn’t believe that I did not know this. I have before and after photos of the work to show. Velazquez Mufflers is great! Great service , fast, professional, reasonable prices. Thank you Angel and Johnny! ????
