I can't say enough good things about this place! They are honest and trustworthy when it comes to diagnosing your vehicle and don't try to rip you off with repair costs.
I first heard about this place from a tow truck driver towing my vehicle to the dealership for repairs. He happened to own the same model/yr Audi as mine and told me this was where he had his vehicle repaired and they had always done a great job while offering a significant cost savings over the dealership. I agreed to to try them and dropped my car here instead and they did a phenomenal job with the repair. They had it diagnosed in the 10 mins it took me to walk to the Red Line and had it repaired in just 1 day.
It turned out my high pressure fuel pump needed replacing and they also found a gasket leak which they also promptly repaired. It's been a few months since the repair and the car had been running great. That is until last week when I noticed a large amount of oil had leaked on my garage floor. I brought it in again to see how serious the situation was and to my complete surprise they found that the oil cap from my most recent oil change, at another facility, had not been properly placed back on the vehicle which had allowed the oil to leak out due to the pressure build up in the engine when running the car.
I appreciated their very comprehensive diagnosis before arriving at that conclusion and braced myself for a significant cost for something caused by that other facilities carelessness. To my complete surprise they only charged me for replacing the oil since I was a repeat customer and my previous repair was significant but still most places don't take that into consideration and they are just looking to make a buck where ever they can. That's what sets this place apart for me, I feel I can trust them and they are looking out for their customers. I can't recommend this place enough! If you bring your car here you will be in good hands. I have found my permanent repair facility because places like this are hard to find these days and I truly appreciate their work ethic and honesty!
I was undone when my new Mazda was scraped in an incident, my left front bumper. I was directed to the repair team at the Goodyear located at 1403 Shakespeare. I met Bryan, CoCo, and the rest of the team, who immediately put me at ease and turned what felt like a mini crisis into a manageable situation.
They were professional, patient, and very reassuring throughout the process. The team took the time to explain what needed to be done and handled the repair efficiently. When I got my car back, it looked great, and the entire experience was far less stressful than I expected.
I truly appreciated their customer service and the care they showed during a moment that was pretty upsetting for me. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone who needs reasonable, honest, supportive, and reliable service.
someone broke into my car during the holiday season so you can imagine it was so stressful, i had called several shops but only Midtown auto was willing to help on a saturday before christmas. they were so nice and helpful through the whole process as i really didn’t know what to do but i was luckily in good hands. really happy with the service and thankful to everyone who works here. will gladly come back for future service
Blew out a tire on Super Bowl Sunday. Called garage and they set me up with flat bed pickup for my car. They had to special order my tire and had it on my car in 24 hours. Staff was great and easy to work with. Will definitely go back on future.
I had a great experience. Gonzalo was my service provider and was very efficient as well as helpful with a calm personna. I was recommended by AAA.. was very skeptical because I wasn't familiar with these mechanics but they were fast and efficient. The turnaround time was fast.. 10/10 I would definitely recommend.
Brought in my 2008 Saab 9-3 for intermittent no start and they correctly diagnosed as a faulty abs module within a few days. They no longer sell these modules new so they found a used replacement and even tho it took a month for the part to show up, it finally did, and I’ve been driving for 3 weeks with no problems whatsoever. I’m very happy.
LIFESAVERS. I got a large piece of wire stuck in my tire while driving on 94. I pulled off the road and this is one of the highest rated places around. The ratings were appropriate they took care of my car to get well and rather quickly given the short notice. I highly recommend. Staff was very friendly as well.

Metro Auto Repair was recommended by another car service shoo in the area. I needed to have a slow tire leak repaired. These guys fixed a tire that was said to be unrepairable. That in itself says a lot about them. They even checked my other tires to make sure they were okay. Old time service—professional, customer centric.

The mechanic I had was kind and recommended me something to help waterproof my roof, and i didn’t have to pay for it being checked out at all, but this was due to them trying to wrongfully charge me for a fix that was not needed.
Whoever checked my car claimed the battery terminals needed to be replaced (which they don’t and i knew that), i had them come out so i could show them nothing was wrong with them, while the front desk was trying to get me to replace them, WHEN NOTHING WAS BROKEN.
I knew exactly what was wrong with my car and told them, but instead of checking on that they made up something needing to be replaced. I wouldn’t recommend going here unless you know your car well already, and second guess everything. make them show you.
The mechanic i actually talked to was kind and helpful, but i’m not sure who claimed i needed the new parts, but that was wrong and felt scammy.
I stopped by Midtown Auto Repair – Goodyear for a quick headlight bulb change and couldn’t be happier with the experience. They got me right in, the pricing was fair, and they even topped off my windshield wiper fluid without me asking. Fast, honest, and thoughtful service — exactly what you hope for. The team at Midtown was great. My shifting cable crapped out on Xmas eve and luckily I was able to get a tow there to fix the issue. They were very thorough and service was very quick given the holidays. Would highly recommend them over going to a dealership.

I recently had my vehicle’s alternator and battery replaced at Midtown and could not be more satisfied. I called them on Sunday after my vehicle broke down. They were the only auto shop open at the time. The staff was all incredibly helpful and friendly. I worked with Cuco who was transparent and responsive. Midtown had my vehicle back up and running within 24hrs of dropping it off. Greatly appreciated.

They were very polite. The shop has a calm atmosphere, with pleasant conversation.
They also did good work on my car, and were honest, unlike the first place that I went to that was trying to rip me off.

My car suddenly stared to fault and shudder on me downtown and I had to have it towed to Midtown right before they closed! They were very kind over the phone and reassured my that I could leave my car in their lot and drop my keys off in a drop box. The next day they gave me a rundown of what the main problem was and realistic expectations of what needs to be done as good practice and what I could do just to get my car up and running. They were very understanding and patient with my 3+ phone calls as I figured out what I wanted to do. I really really appreciate their kindness and transparency. I’ve already recommended them to friends and family. The next time I have an emergency I know where I can go and not have to worry if my car is in good hands.
Not happy!!! They diagnostic test your tire on your car for one thing and mysteriously your car has another problem they want to fix. Shady character this smooth talking manager charges extra and rings it up under miscellaneous service charge. So where does the money go?
Great place to bring your car, the guys that work there are very professional and easy to work with. They made sure all my concerns were covered and that I got my service done at a fair price. The turnover is insanely quick, I walked in and a couple hrs later brakes, rotors, tires, and alignment were done. Also got a free carwash as part of a promo service. Definitely going here again
I have used Midtown auto repair twice, once to purchase tires in 2024 and 2nd to check low tire pressure in 2025. Both experiences were excellent. Appointments were easy to set up online, staff was easy to work with and very clear on what work would be complete. I will certainly use Midtown for other services that I require (brakes).
My dealership found a nail in my tire during a routine check and said I would need a new tire. I left there and went straight to Midtown, who patched it in under an hour with no notice or appointment, and at a very fair price. They just won a loyal customer for my car servicing moving forward!

Hit a really bad pothole on Lake Shore Drive that crippled my Nissan. I had no idea where to take my car for repairs, so I picked Midtown Auto Repair out of a hat and I'm very glad I did.
I showed up to the shop at about 10am on a Saturday and they were more than happy to take me without an appointment. Based on my observations, they (correctly) assumed that my issue was alignment related. They told me it would be about an hour to assess the vehicle. Before I even left the shop, my car was already up on the lift, which I took as a good sign.
I grabbed some breakfast nearby and before I paid my check they called me with the news that my wheel control arm had broken. The quoted me a fair price for the repair and wheel alignment and said they would rush order the part. They called me about 2 hours later and told me my car was ready for pickup!
On top of a quick and splendid job with my vehicle, when I paid the tab they told me that I could visit the carwash next door for a free wash. I thought it was going to be just a quick rinse job, but they gave me the full wash package with wax, wheel shine, interior wipe down, and even washed my floor mats!
I will definitely be returning to Midtown Auto Repair for all of my vehicle maintenance needs and highly recommend them to anyone in need of a good auto shop!
I love this place! I just live on the total opposite side of town and I can’t get to them as much as possible. Truly an auto shop that takes care of you and your vehicle! Both times my car was towed close to closing or after hours and my car was safe with on their premises. Very affordable and a team that’s understanding. Also, Brian (I hope I spelled it right) is a Godsend!! Definitely a people’s people car shop!! 10/10!!
Midtown Auto Repair is transparent with their pricing, provided me with warranties, and always answers any questions I have. They work hard and fast! Incredibly friendly. Not to mention, they have amazing hours. I’ve been to multiple car repair shops before Midtown- I couldn’t recommend this one more!
Don't go this place!!! Yesterday I visited this mechanic because I had problem with my brakes. They took 99$ just for checking the car. Autozone do same checking for free! Then, they told me my brakes are okay, the problem was about hybrid system. I took my car another mechanics, they all told me brakes are broken and hybrid system is fine. So, they don't know anything about car and gives you wrong information. They also overcharge people because they know people need them. Never ever visit this place!
Bryan really helped take care of me! He was patient helping me find great tires. From the price and being very picky about the type of tire i desired, they helped me shop around and then ordered exactly what i needed. I wanted large and rugged tires but quiet. I got in my jeep and the selection they helped me make, it rides like a new car! I’m grateful. Thank you so much
This place is awesome. We go to them for just about anything. Latest fix was a gnarly spill of cream and tomato sauce on the back seats. Had them do a full interior detail and the car looks and feels brand new!!

Excellent customer service, outstanding and reliable staff, and incredible prices. I was fortunate to receive exceptional service at Midtown Auto Repair. The entire team was friendly, polite, and promptly resolved my car issue.
My situation was a bit unique. After a wonderful Thanksgiving evening, around 7:00 pm, I started driving back home from Chicago, where my family is, and suddenly heard a strange noise coming from my exhaust. It was rusted and broken. I called Midtown Auto Repair (they were nearby), and they kindly assured me, "Yes, we can take care of it."
I drove to the shop that night, and they initially told me the exhaust needed replacing, which couldn't be done overnight as the necessary parts would arrive in the morning. I mentioned that I needed to drive 350 miles back home that night. They said, "Let’s see what we can do." They performed an excellent quick, temporary repair by placing a brace between the broken exhaust parts and sealing it with cement to prevent a smoke leak. This allowed me to drive home safely.
The price for the repair was excellent. The team went above and beyond, being incredibly helpful and kind. I am so grateful to everyone there, especially the auto repair owner, Cuco the manager, and all the mechanics. God bless you all!
