J & B Scrap Metals Inc in
Chicago (IL)

If there were a gold medal for scrap metal dealers, this company would win it every single time—and probably recycle the medal afterward just to prove how good they are at what they do. From the moment you make contact, you’re treated like VIP royalty (but with steel-toed boots). Their customer service? Sharper than freshly cut sheet metal. Their honesty? Solid as steel.

These folks don’t just buy and sell metal—they turn what others overlook into pure value, all while making the process so smooth, you’ll wonder why you ever dealt with anyone else. They’re quick, fair, and more reliable than your morning coffee. If I could do business with them every day, I would—and I’d look forward to it like a kid waiting for Christmas.

So, for everyone who’s been hunting for a scrap dealer that’s fast, fair, and frankly fabulous, look no further—this is the jackpot.

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Gene, and let me tell you—he went above and beyond in every possible way. From the very first interaction, their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care for my needs made the entire process seamless and stress-free.

It wasn’t just about getting the job done—it was about doing it right, with integrity and a personal touch that’s rare to find. They anticipated questions before I even asked them, provided solutions without hesitation, and made me feel like my business truly mattered.

Because of their outstanding service, I’m not only impressed with the company as a whole, but I’m also genuinely excited about doing future business with them. If every representative operated like this, customer loyalty would be guaranteed for life.

After bringing cans here for a year, today 10/22/24 they tell me no more walk-ups. I.e. if I don't have a car, they won't do business with me. Ridiculous because I need the cash and work hard for it, and I'm a regular so they know that I'm on the up-and-up. This policy is stupid, backward, and discriminatory.

Gene coordinated a pickup of an old container my company had in our yard. We had no use for it anymore and he responded quick with finishing a way to get this removed for us. He removed it today and everyone was thrilled with how fast we did this. Would recommend this company to any small or large business who is looking for container removal or looking to scrap anything. They are very responsive and I will be remembering for anything else my company may need.

Walking in very convenient,God people to do business with.

It's not the neatest. The guys there seem like hard workers. It's a geniune atmosphere. A now go to over a bigger, more mainstream recycler.

They pay good at the low off the state off Illinois

Only 2 stars because they don't take iron or metal only aluminum brass and copper

Nice people fair prices . Kind of reminds me of Sanford and son

Always low ball prices. Probably the lowest prices on the Southside of Chicago in the West Englewood area. I recommend people to go to larger establishments such as United.. 18 lbs of copper wire at 1.00 lb.... No Bueno..

Mejor que todos los de mas

One word answer then hung up

I go all most everyday the got the best prices alsip gives you less money. Never got scammed in here unlike 74th and Loomis they let you see the weight. On 74th you have to take their word for it.
