This is hands down one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had. I had a CONFIRMED APPOINTMENT and when I arrived, the SERVICE DOORS WERE CLOSED. No sign. No notice. No warning. I stood outside in Chicago winter like an idiot for over 30 minutes until someone casually opened the door. Then I’m told: “Everyone is in a meeting.” “Computers won’t be ready for 1.5 hours.” So why the hell are you booking appointments if you’re not even operational? I was told to leave and come back later. I’m a Lyft driver — that means real money lost, not just inconvenience. Zero respect for customers’ time. After I called Toyota customer service and complained, I was told I’d be put in an express lane. I came back… and STILL waited. No urgency. No apology. No explanation. Just silence and attitude. I finally got out at 1:14 PM — HOURS after my appointment — for a BASIC oil change. Paid $103, lost income, wasted half my day, and NOT A SINGLE PERSON APOLOGIZED. No compensation. Nothing. This place is: • Disorganized • Poorly managed • Completely unprofessional • Disrespectful to working customers If this is “Toyota service,” it’s embarrassing. A confirmed appointment here means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Avoid this location unless you enjoy wasting time and money.

I went to the Toyota Service Center of Lincoln Park out of necessity after my 2016 RAV4’s battery failed and I had to be jump-started. Although I was aware of the mixed reviews, it was the closest option, so I decided to give them a chance. Unfortunately, the experience confirmed exactly what I had hoped to avoid. Upon arrival, I was quoted $435 for a standard (non-hybrid) battery replacement and roughly $140 for a cabin filter. Even without being in the automotive industry, these prices felt off. I asked for a diagnostic before authorizing any work and, while waiting, I called Toyota of St. Charles, where I originally purchased my car and have always received honest, transparent service. Their total estimate for the same OEM battery, including labor and tax, was around $215. They were equally surprised by the Lincoln Park quote. When I informed the representative that I’d be taking my car elsewhere, they asked why I didn’t want them to “touch” the battery, and shortly after, the manager asked to speak with me. By that point, my decision was made on principle. The staff was polite and professional, but the practices felt predatory, and as a woman, that lack of transparency and equity in service environments like this is especially frustrating. The manager offered to match St. Charles’ price “as a good faith gesture,” explaining that the location had recently come under new management in March and was trying to improve. I appreciated the offer, but by then, the trust was already broken. The issue wasn’t the staff’s courtesy; it was the integrity of the pricing and the lack of accountability that led to such a gap in the first place. At Toyota of St. Charles, I had my battery and cabin filter replaced together for $292 total, using the same Toyota parts. That’s still more than $140 less than what Lincoln Park quoted for the battery alone. It’s hard to accept that this is simply a mistake or oversight. The pattern of inflated estimates and reactive “price matching” only after pushback is exactly why customers lose confidence. It feels like an abuse of trust in the Toyota name, especially when customers are in urgent or vulnerable situations. Yes, I had to take extra time and risk driving an hour to St. Charles, but it was absolutely worth it for honest pricing and transparent service. Unless there is a fundamental change in management practices and accountability, I will not return to the Lincoln Park location, even though it is less than five minutes from home. If you value fairness and integrity, save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere. It is worth the drive.

ToyotaOfLincolnPark.com Review for last service routine check up on the 30th of 2025…I renewed my toyota care plus agreement. Everything was great. Mr Sylvester Jackson was my service advisor. I was waited on promptly…5 stars…He answered my questions. he clarified and confirmed that I understood. He was professional, pleasant and patient.

I have been going to Toyota service centers for 9 years prior to using this one. The first time I brought it in for a repair they tried to charge me $363 to repair a faulty gas caps that cost $18.

- 3 hours for an oil change when i made a reservation - Valet grinded the gears of my transmission since they dont know how to operate a manual - piece of trim needed to get “clicked” back in and asked if they could do it. Quoted me $800 to fix it. I obviously declined and just snapped it back in once home in about 5 minutes - quoted $450 to replace my license plate light, ordered the part online for $35

In for oil change and check a blinking tpms light. It’s $199 for them to diagnose the tpms and 69.99 for an oil change with coupon. Walked out of there paying $310 after tax and shop fees. Also, one tpms sensor for a 2017 Camry is $500 which I refused and therefore only paid the $199 to diagnose. This service center is charging people up to $2,000 for a set of tire pressure sensors for a Camry. When I asked if this price was correct, I was told it could be even up to $600 each.

I was helped by Paul Singh today. He addressed all of my concerns honestly, and helped me out with some weird questions. He did all of this with an amazing attitude that put me out the door extremely satisfied! Make sure to go to Paul when you take your car in for service in Chicago.

I showed up with an appointment and they told me it would be 3 hours to get my car’s oil changed. They also mentioned that they don’t limit the amount of slots that people can book, even though they know they are short staffed. Completely unacceptable for a dealership as reputable as Toyota. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I came here to have a remedy service for safty recall. I had to wait for 30 mins until checking-in although I arrived at the appointment time. Additionally, the staff told me the service will take all day although the remedy notice said it takes about 45 mins. They can not also offer a rental car while waiting for the repair. Who on earth can wait there for all day? Thus, I had to cancel the service. The system of the appointment does not make any sense there. It was such a terrible experience which is unacceptable to me.

First service brought to the dealership with my 24 tundra capstone. Look at the images below. I have not to say except giving a heads-up to all non dark/black color interior vehicle, look some where else to do your service.

Short review: The service center is terribly mismanaged. They don't honor appointments, overbooking is the norm, and wait times are significantly underestimated. I walked away without any service on my car after a long wait and need to go elsewhere. I wouldn't go ever again unless out of desperation. Longer explanation: I won't name the associate but here's my experience: I came on time for a basic oil change in the morning, and they knew I was waiting in the lobby. I was told "Sorry, we overbooked so it's like a 2 or 2.5 hour wait." To which I replied, "Even with an appointment? Ok, is it going to be a minimum of 2 hours or maybe sooner? I need to know so I can plan if I should head back home or not." I get an evasive response, and the associate just says "We'll let you know. Lots of cars. Etc..." I wasn't going to push it because I'm not trying to be difficult so I just accept her answer hoping by some miracle they do it quickly. I wait in the lobby and about 45 minutes pass without any updates so I go and ask if there's a status update. The associate says something along the lines of "Oh ya, they're working on it and once they give me the keys, I'll go inspect and it you should be good to go." I thank the associate and say that I'll go back to the waiting area. Over an hour passes by, so I text the number for the service associate for an update. No response after some time so I go back to the desk to see what the status is, because from what I was told earlier, it sounded like the oil change was in progress. Before the associate sees me standing at the desk, she finally texts back saying "Hey it is still going to be closer to the 2 1/2 hour we're overbooked." I say "Hey, I saw your text. I can't wait that long here, I have a newborn at home and need to get back." She checks the car--no service has been started so she says "I'm not going to charge you nothing, since nothing was done." ....Ya...why would you charge a customer a service that was not performed?... She then asked "Would you like me to reschedule you for another time?" I said "No I'm just going to go somewhere else."... Why would I want an appointment rescheduled when you don't honor appointments? Anyway, another 15 minutes pass before I finally get my key for a car that wasn't touched. As I get in the car, the associate one last time apologizes, and I reiterate, "I have a newborn at home-- that's why I can't wait..." and I drive off never to return there again... I'm pretty polite so I didn't create a scene but boy was I annoyed at waiting that long after having an appointment, showing up on time, getting hit with another 2.5 hour wait after waiting over an hour AND after not answering me clearly from the start, and then driving off without the intended service. Especially difficult to get time away when you have a baby at home so now I have to go find another place to get an oil change that should have taken 15 minutes...

I had an appointment and still have to wait over 3 hrs for my car service. I also had the free car wash and they made my car look more dirty. What upset me the most is they forgot to put back my engine cover. Will not be going back.

I’ve come here three times, two were free because we bought our RAV4 there, the third time I refused services because they quoted me $300 for a new battery on the phone then wanted to charge me $488. Then they blamed their own call service for the bad quote. The work also took double the time they estimated, which was consistent with previous visits. One time, the mechanic left his tools on my passenger seat, another time they were supposed to rotate the tires and didn’t, and another time they couldn’t figure out how to get the tire light from coming on. All and all, there has been an erosion of trust and really mediocre service.

DO NOT COME HERE! I came to this location because I had a broken shock absorber and asked how much it'd be to have it replaced/fixed. The staff refused to quote me a price until I had the car "examined". I told them fine thinking I'd just get a quote after. They told me my shock absorber needed to be fixed (which is what i told them from the beginning!) And tried to charge me $3000 dollars to fix it! When I told them I'd just take it somewhere else they still charged me 300 dollars for an "inspection fee". Fair enough. I messed up thinking I could get an honest estimate for damage I already knew about, but my most recent experience took the cake. I asked for a tire rotation, and they did not change the placement of my tires! I marked my tires and one of them has an air pressure problem meaning it loses air faster than the others. Because of this I realized all they did was put air in my tires to the same pressure but they actually did not change the tire placement! I realized that my bad tire had not been moved because it was still in the same side when I brought it in and it lost air pressure after i left. Keep the 30 dollars, you clearly value money more than taking care of your customers.

Came in for a SCHEDULED oil change which was for 10AM. Showed up at 9:45AM. Was not seen until 10:40AM. Was told it would be 1.5 hours for an oil change so I chose to wait. 2.5 hours later asked for updates and was told the service agent would message me. She never did. Went back up to the desk and she still didn’t have an update for me. This place doesn’t value a customers time. Once my oil change package is used I won’t be back and will switch to another Toyota dealer.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but Daniel at Toyota Lincoln parks service center was amazing. I was super stressed when my catalytic converter was stolen, but he helped guide me through my options and navigate a national backorder and insurance. He was super communicative through the whole process and I got my car back this evening a lot earlier than expected!

I have taken my 2015 Corolla to a Toyota dealer for the majority of its oil changes throughout its lifetime (140,000 miles). I’ve been to 3 different Toyota repair centers for these services and Lincoln Park is my least favorite. In my experience it usually takes a Toyota repair center about 45 min to 1 hour for a routine oil change and multipoint inspection. But for whatever reason, Toyota Lincoln Park takes longer at about 2-3 hours for the exact same service. And it should be noted I always schedule a service appointment ahead of time.

Please avoid this service center at any cost. I went here by seeing ratings of the Toyota showroom. But to my disappointment it has the worst service and the highest cost.I literally charged 550 bucks for the PCP valve which should not exceed 300 bucks at any cost. I was recommended the service even if there is no sign of wear and tear. They did not clean my car as well after the service. I got my car even in worse condition than before. I doubt their genuineness I was made to pay 1300 for no reason on a no complaint car.

VERY PRICY - But wonderful customer service, Paul took fantastic care of me and my vehicle. They were quickly able to get me checked in on last minutes notice and were able to address all of my concerns. My insurance/warranty claims were looked into promptly and Paul kept clear communication throughout the process. Thanks!

We just came in for a simple tire rotation- we had a 9:20am appointment, and we didn’t get to leave until 12:30… what a ridiculous wait for something that was scheduled in advance and very routine. The only reason this wasn’t less stars is because at least the staff were friendly and the facilities was clean. Wouldn’t come here again because of the wait.

2 great service experiences at Toyota, first visit was with Sylvester and the 2nd visit with Carlos both individuals with extremely helpful and professional. They kept me informed with the status of my vehicle and let me know they were available if I had any questions or concerns. This is the best experience I recieved at a Toyota Dealership and would definitely recommend this location if your looking for great experience.

I took my car in to determine why I was using so much antifreeze. I had a 1:00 apt...4:00 I'm told they needed to run more tests, leave it overnight. Next day's diagnosis was to replace two hoses and the thermostat. The diagnosis cost was $188. I then took it to my local shop because the dealer price to install the parts was astronomical, The car was lifted and I was shown that my radiator had a hole in the bottom and saw the antifreeze pouring out. So the real diagnosis was that I needed a new radiator. The customer service and coffee was great. Don't think I'll rely on their mechanical expertise in the future.

I've used Toyota of Lincoln Park Service Center the past 8 years, their service was great. However, I will not return after today when they reneged on a coupon (for oil changes and tire rotations). The representative stated they're no longer accepting it, even though representatives at previous visits had honored it and explicitly told me it'd be valid through the end of 2023 and was detailed on my account file/record as such for future representatives to refer to.

I visited Toyota of Lincoln Park 3/16/2023 for oil change and tire rotation. It took 2.5 hours even though I had an appointment. Worse than that my car developed a grinding noise from drivers side front wheel the next day and it got so bad after couple days. I stopped by an independent repair shop to get it checked. It turns out that drivers side front wheel was completely loose. One lug nut was holding it barely. It is unacceptable. It could have turned out to be a fatal accident. Now I suspect they even changed the oil. Stay away.

Randy from service and Gerardo from sales without a doubt some of the most outstanding people. Really ensures the best customer service to every individual. Randy really went in depth with my vehicles problem and even took the extra mile to approach me and keep me up to date on what is happening to my vehicle. Gerardo was ensuring that my stay here was welcoming and made sure I was satisfied while my stay here, from questions, concerns, and even some suggestions for my vehicle! Really awesome pair of lads!!
Mar 17, 2023 -
Update to below: In order to get the service department to get back to me, I had to reach out to the general manager. Randy was able to give me an explanation of charges. From this explanation, I discovered that they added charges that I did not authorize. I would give them zero stars if I could. The absolute worst customer service. I brought my 4runner in on Oct 3rd to have the horn fixed as well as a rear taillight I reached out on Oct 10th for an update and Krista Feeman told me that the part was scheduled to arrive the next day and as long as it came in as scheduled, the vehicle would be done that afternoon. She let me know the next day that it didn't arrive and from there on it was very difficult to get a response from her. She stopped responding to my texts and was never available when I called nor would she call me back. The vehicle was done October 20th and I wouldn't have been upset about the length of time if I could've gotten the courtesy of being kept up to date especially when I reach out. The horn was being covered by the used dealership that I purchased the vehicle from. When I received the estimate, i sent it to the dealership. After I picked up the vehicle, I found out that the sales associate tried reaching out to Toyota and left two messages without getting a call back. So I had to reach out and ask them to call them back so I could get reimbursed. After a number of calls and no help, I finally talked to Krista. She said she believed her manager spoke with someone at the dealership (I was told otherwise by the sales associate I worked with) and if the manager didn't, she'd reach out. Also, she advised that email was the best way to reach her. When I found out the dealership was still waiting on a response, I emailed her and cc'd the dealership on Oct 28th. After not getting a response, I called to follow up - she said she'd get with her manager to respond. Guess what.. it's Nov 14th and I'm still waiting on a response. 🙄

I called ahead to make sure they take walk-ins for service center, just needed a routine oil change I was due for. Show up, the rep tried to get me to make an appointment for next week even though I was already there. So I asked, do you take walk-ins or not? And he reluctantly accepted my car for service at 10:30 am. My car wasn't done until 3:30 pm..... I understand waiting behind those with an appointment but this was unreasonable for work that takes an hour maximum. I went to get a bite and brought a good amount of homework to do while I waited but finished all of that long before my car was done. Also, none of the sales people or anyone in the waiting area were wearing masks even though there is a city-wide MANDATE. I politely brought this up to management and it seemed like they addressed it, but I shouldn't have had to say anything in a large business like that. I'll be heading to the suburbs next time like everyone here has suggested.

I made an oil change appointment at 10:45am didn’t get out of there until 12:45! Very poor service and on top of that the guy at the front desk was ripping me off and charged me $95 for a oil change!! I’ve never had to pay that at Toyota before. He was pretty rude and didn’t offer any discounts which they had on their website. This was my first time using Toyota in Chicago, I go to the suburbs usually and they charge wayy less . Don’t go here unless you want to get ripped off for pricing and wait two hours for an oil change.

Used to be called Grossinger Toyota. I bought my 2007 FJ Cruiser from these guys when they were on Wells and have been servicing my truck here since they moved to this location. I have always found them to be fair and honest and they provide good service and almost always wash the car after every service. They do offer good deals from time to time and the staff are busy but professional. Sylvester is the main guy I usually see and he’s solid. Don’t love dealer service but these guys are very good. Highly recommend.
