Great reliable and fast place. They replaced my complicated to reach battery on my Ford Escape 2017. It was an AGM battery that requires to get the wipers off my car. They did the job super fast and the prices were super affordable. This is a family own business that should get more business for the job they do.

DO NOT GO HERE THEY ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL!!! WHEN THEY REMOVED MY BATTERY TO PUT A NEW ONE IN THEY LOOSENED MY HOSE FOR MY ANTIFREEZE AND BROKE MY CAR AS WE WERE GETTING THE BATTERY REPLACED THE WORKER KEPT COMPLAINING ABOUT THE BOSS HOW HE'S VERY CHEAP AND TRIES TO CUT CORNERS AT ANY COST!!!
Replaced my 6 year old battery due to the years of service a premium battery usually lasts 4-6 years. Called AutoZone they wanted $225, called AAA they wanted $250, Called Maverick Auto parts they wanted $150 no installation very reasonable considering how much the cost of everything has exceeded most budgets. Choose Illinois Battery on Belmont Ave in Chicago they quoted me $140 installed and had their batteries in prior cars. The shop was very clean, organized and no odor of battery acid what do ever as the fumes could be fatal or cause an explosion if too saturated. My car wouldn't start today, so after a jump-start with cables, I hightailed it to Illinois Battery where I've been going for years. Today Tony took care of me right away. My battery was getting faulty on my Volkswagen Jetta after 2 years after it progressively got worse on starting right up. I had to jumpstart it constantly. This is a family-owned business that is truly exceptional with their service. I greatly appreciate Jim being there 2 generations later, and Bryan who serviced my vehicle in less than 10 minutes if that. I would highly recommend coming here if you want reliable, quick service for your auto needs. I am thankful I did not go to Walmart of all places. Great prices, great people! Give them a chance!
Prices are cheap for the battery but the battery quality is garbage at best. I bought three batteries installed in three different vehicles. All batteries started feeling in less than 2 weeks. Brought them and they said it is not battery. It is problem with my cars. I took the cars to the dealer. They diagnosed it. It was battery. They would not replace the battery although they give you 5-year warranty which is very sad. They do not honor. They'll do anything and everything so that they don't have to swap the batteries and blame other issues in your car. Anyhow, I got new batteries installed which were maybe 10% more than what I paid here but it's been almost a year and the cars are running perfectly fine. They produce refurbished batteries with very poor cells and the terminals are so weak that when the weather goes below 40° they won't hold charge and you will have to jump start them. So if you bought a car battery from them, be sure to have a jump start when the weather is cold like we do in Chicago. Good luck to you all, but I won't be taking my business and I recommend you save your money and spend a little more. Go to AutoZone or somewhere else. Spend 10 to 15% more and get something that really works. Their batteries are garbage

Really good experience coming here! I needed to replace my faulty starter, and I'm happy with the work done. Got a quote on my initial visit because I wanted to shop around, it ended up being almost 100 dollars cheaper than the next best offer! The work took a little longer than what I was originally told, but I kind of expected that because my car's engine bay is really cramped, so plan to not get your vehicle back same day, just in case
Exceptional service from the entire team! The owner was on-site, friendly, helpful, and explained what could be wrong with my car battery issue. They have the best warranty for your battery and are reasonably priced.

I don’t like going into shops alone as a single woman and everyone at Illinois Battery, Bill, Yugi and Jim were incredibly honest with me and helpful. They put my nerves at ease. I really appreciated their hospitality and kindness. I went back the next week when I needed my brakes done and Carlos was amazing. Excellent service and fair prices.
Great place for a battery! They check power, charging, decharging and install new battery amd pro rate pricing. Been going to them for years along with all of my smart family members and friends! Very friendly staff. Highly recommended.
I went to Illinois battery specialists because my friend recommended this place for being in business for a very long time, and because they provide exceptional service. They check your battery first, and if you decide to get one from them, they will install it for you. The warranty is up to 5 years, but based on my friend experience who buys baterries from them since forever, I expect to have no problems I was in and out from this place in under 15 minutes, battery and installation cost was around $100.
This place is going to be getting 100% of my business in the future. They're fantastic and I highly recommend them. They've been in business for almost 100 years now and it's always good to support locally owned small businesses. The price I got and the quality of service I received could not be beaten.
Batteries are overpriced almost as expensive as the ones you will get from the dealer. Their selection is also limited and customer service is average. This will be the perfect place to go if they were not other ones close by. I was able to get a better battery from AutoZone for less money and we have better warranty. Shop around you might be able to find a better deal and better customer service.
great place to go to if you need a new battery. Very friendly staff, and the place has been here for many years, I believe almost a century. And you can tell by the way one of the brothers look he looks about a hundred years old. Great people very friendly, very funny highly recommend and I will continue to go back. Thank you for being great people I'm telling everybody to go here they beat the price of a heavy duty battery for my truck by about 60 bucks. Battery still working good. Some of the other staff also went out of their way to clean my terminals and replace some wires, offer free.
Will be back. Other places only had the manufacturer recommended batteries for my 07 Audi, which are very expensive. They saved me over $150 on a battery that is different but still ran tests on it and it functions perfectly with right voltage and fitment. Best battery options I've seen and very knowledgeable and thorough.
Best price anywhere on 6 volt battery for my 1948 Buick. Good long lasting battery as good or better than any. 5 years old and still going strong. If you have an old vehicle with 6 volt system this is the place to get a quality battery without paying ridiculous prices.
