This rating is based on customer reviews, inventory size, pricing, and service quality
In Chicago, IL, Midtown Auto Repair trends very positive: 91/100. Reviews highlight friendly, professional staff who explain options, deliver fast same-day tire repairs (often 15–30 minutes), fair-to-great pricing, and honest guidance; several mention being fit in on busy days or Sundays. Strengths include clear communication and value. Weak spots: a claim of an off-brand catalytic converter that failed emissions, an alleged paid-but-not-installed rim, one customer turned away, and a comment about a pricier plug. Overall strong, but confirm parts and quotes on bigger jobs.
This shop is amazing. Hole in the tire. They let me borrow a tire and come back the next day for the repair. Would highly recommend! Gonzalo took care of me well. Nice and accommodating service. Fair price. Thanks guys
They were able to get me in for a quick tire repair despite definitely being a busy day for them. I was in and out in about a half hour, great service & great price! Would definitely recommend!
Mechanic serviced / installed an OFF market catalytic converter on my Mitsubishi after I was informed they were a Mitsubishi certified mechanic and would get me exactly what my vehicle needed.
Flash forward to today, my cc has failed and needs to be replaced again in order to pass emission test.
( This off market CC was verified to be off market by Firestone and 2 Mitsubishi Dealerships. )
Midtown was open on Easter Sunday and repaired a nail puncture in my tire without any hassle or up charge. They were professional and polite.
The repair was done right away. Although kind of expensive at $51 (my neighborhood shop does the same for $20 but isn’t open on Sunday) it was still worth it have things knocked out in a top notch fashion. They found another puncture and fixed it too, saving me a future headache.
I had a very short notice tire repair and Cuco took great care of me. The repair was completed extremely fast with kind, honest and friendly service. Highly recommend.
Omar is great however the other front end heavy set guy needs to be retrained or something because I came in and inquired about new tires for my Lyft car & he instantly turned me away. I heard Omar literally told him to check it out but the guy didn’t even try he just told me no they can’t help me so I left. As I was leaving the parking lot Omar came up to me and asked me a few questions about Lyft and realized they in fact could help. We went back inside and he got started on getting me my tires. He got everything squared away and I came in next morning & Got 4 brand new tires in less than 30 minutes too it was pretty fast! Thank you so much Omar he was really sweet ! (I took one star off because the first guy I talked to before Omar immediately turned me away without even pretending to try!)
This is the best auto shop! Full service and they always are upfront, honest, and efficient! Brian and Jose are a dream team and they always take good care of you. Makes having to get all new tires as pain-free of a process as can be!
I’ve brought my car there for an oil change twice and yesterday brought it in for a flat tire that they quickly repaired to get me back on the road. I’ve found them to be really honest, affordable and quick and never feel like they’re trying to up sell me stuff I don’t need.
Wonderful repair shop, great staff that will go above and beyond to help however they can. Couldn't be happier to find an honest and trustworthy mechanic.
I had a flat and they helped right away! This place was so great and quick! very welcoming no hassle! shout to Chris for being so helpful. Will be coming again. thank you :)
Friendly, professional, and timely. Got us in and out the same day, and were upfront about costs and trying to actually save us money. They earned our business as our new go-to repair shop.
I hate going to get my car repaired because it always ends up costing more than expected. I was under the impression I'd be paying around $500 for a new tire. Turns out, they don't even sell my tire anymore... Brian was more than helpful and found me a used tire that had the same percentage of wear as the 3 that I had on. I got my tire for only $150. I can't recommend this location enough and Brian was so kind and helpful!
Love this place!!! Amer is the man, he helped me fix my flat tire in less than 30 min on super bowl sunday nonetheless. Thank you to everyone who helped , this place is great for tire repair in a snap
