The worst Jamaican food by far. I ordered oxtails, corn, and jerk wings. None of which had traditional Jamaican spices. $70 for none of the food to taste good is a bit excessive. The rice was bland and soaked with grease lacking a flavorful profile. The cabbage was overcooked and no seasoning, no thyme, no all spice, no scotch bonnet.

Appetizers were absolutely perfect. We got the wings and Brussels sprouts. 10/10. Vibes are cool inside also. Entrees weren’t as good but still solid !

I ordered delivery so I can’t speak on the atmosphere, but the food was great. I ordered the Jerk Yard Bird, Scotch Brussels, & Island corn and everything was delicious, full of flavor, and tender. The jerk chicken had this char on it that enhanced the flavor & it was hands down the best jerk I’ve had in a while. The cabbage was a tad salty but it balanced out. Overall, I’d try it again

2 for effort Ordered on Uber Eats . Being I ordered online and it was my first time , I ordered some small bites . The patty was basically raw . It was dark , soft, and gummy The jerk wings were under cooked. Almost like par baked or boiled and rolled sauce . Like the forgot the 2nd cook The cabbage was mid and didn’t have carribean taste. The added touch of what I believe was Kale , was new to me. Almost taste like cabbage from a church basement plate and not like carribean cabbage .

Nice small cozy resturant. The owner and staff me the experience worth the money. But the owner held out on the curry goat. JK The owner is young black owner love that for him personality was on point. Even brought Santa Claus with to see if he was naughty or nice. Lol oxtails were great

Had the Escovitch fish.( fish too salty) The presentation ??‍♂️, didn’t even come with the Escovitch sauce. I had to ask for it. It kinda of defeats the purpose of Escovitch if there’s no Escovitch on the fish. Then when I got it they were no carrots in it. They left the bun bun part in the fish(unbeatable). Cabbage was ??‍♂️ but the plantain was good. Rice was ??‍♂️. Outside of the Jamaican music the vybe said not Jamaican. This includes the the decor everything. Only non Jamaicans gonna think this is a ? eatery. P.S I’m a Jamaican who eats this regularly, I know what I’m talking about.

I ordered the oxtails,rasta pasta, beef patties & Brussels sprouts. Everything was very tasty. Oxtails could’ve been cooked more tenderly other than that the ambiance was nice. Portions were very generous. Would come back.

We came as a group of 7 from Illusions Bar & Theater next door - this was dinner afterwards. We were taken care of by the owner. Talk about finger licking good food! We are heating up our leftovers as I type this. Very fair pricing, large portions, and a very kind owner. Just a win, win, win - they are doing it right!

The fact that he offers halal chicken is a plus. The owner is amazing and has a great sense of humor. It was like we knew him and it was my first time meeting him and eating at his restaurant. The food was DELICIOUS! The hibiscus ginger beer was Ah May Zing! The atmosphere is really nice and for the record, Long Islanders are New Yorkers (inside joke).

I came to this restaurant and ordered takeout and let me just say it’s THE BEST oxtail and plantains along with cabbage that I have had in Baltimore. I had cabbage from other places and nothing amounts to the flavor and love in their cooking. The plantains weren’t too sweet and simply perfect. The oxtails fell OFF THE BONE and were seasoned to perfection. The custom service was exceptional and I would definitely come back again and again! It’s a hidden gem for the area it’s in for sure.

Ok yall I’ve been waiting for a while to come because every time I think about going it’s on a day they are closed. They are located in the heart of fed hill. I went on a Wednesday and found close parking although there is a garage nearby. The service was great. I got the jerk bird and red snapper fried. Just an fyi the rice for the rice and peas is coconut rice. The plantains were ok but with an up-charge for the meal you can get Brussels sprouts. They were good and I don’t even like sprouts. The jerk sauce had a kick and the red snapper was cool. The jerk chicken was so good the day after. I would like the fish to have a more robust flavor but the prices are affordable so go check them out. The space is cute and they have outside. They are a byob establishment so that makes them even more affordable .. oh and I love the fact that they have the jerk mushrooms for those who don’t eat meat!!

YARD was such a great place for dinner/date night. We heard the brussel sprouts were amazing and they did not disappoint at all. The Jerk chicken was so flavorful and it had the perfect char to it. The curry was very good as well and the portion was excellent, they did not skimp on the shrimp in the dish. Beef patty was very good the only thing in my opinion is that you don’t need the sauce. Plantains were also perfectly cooked. Seating is very intimate and close but not really an issue. Can’t wait to see what they do with the bar and patio space in the back. Besides the food being so great, the staff truly made the experience so memorable. It felt like I was being taken care of by family and will definitely be returning!

My girl and I love trying different food places. We went to YARD and when u walk in it takes u away into it's own bright cool space. The customer service and the owner/chef were amazing, he ask for real reviews of their food and genuinely want to know the good, or bad. We didn't try as much as we usually do, but we'll be back. The pasta with the shrimp & chicken added, the patties were amazing! Job well done!

Exquisite!!!! We're in town from VA and just decided to try it Because the pictures looked good....everything was exceptional....the pasta was cooked to perfection! The BRUSSELLLSSSS babyyyyy with the SAUCE.... I'm talm bout INNNNNIIITTTTTT!!! And the cabbage...My Lord. Taking my food back home to VA to put in the oven...yesss ma'am.

This spot is the TRUTH! We came in right before they closed and ordered scotch brussels (not pictured) for appetizer and for main course the curry pot and jerk yard bird meal. Portions are gigantic and every single bite was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. I really cannot give enough praise to how incredible this food tasted and how flawless every single texture and pairing was

This is a nice spot!!! I enjoyed EVERYTHING! The food, atmosphere, staff and vibe. Food came out piping hot and who knew how badly I needed Jerk Shrooms in my life?!?! #brooklyn owner has big ideas and I know he is going to follow through. Can't wait for the bar and outside patio to open. Fun Summer's at Yard... ❤️

My Sis recommended this place last min for her Bday. It was definitely a vibe, Owner was nice, staff was laid back too. I had the curry Shrimp it was spicy & bomb.! Mac pie was so cheesy and tasty. Everything was on point music was cool, the establishment was cute.. I ordered the jerk chicken to go once I found out the chicken was Halal. ?Knowing that made me even more happier along with enjoying such tasty food..! I'll be back to try everything else on the menu..!!

So my foodie bestie and I took a trip down to Yard after seeing the reviews on social media. We were pretty excited to try this new Caribbean spot out. Upon arriving the presumed owner greeted with a high five and we could sit where we’d like. When he came to take our order I misread the menu and asked for corn soup. And after that… I wasn’t to sure if I rubbed him the wrong way?. He did check on us periodically but definitely did not have much conversation with my friend and I like he did the other guest in the restaurant.lol I ordered the street corn and big oxtail dinner. My friend had the remix pasta with shrimp. I will be honest. I don’t think as an app for a Jamaica. Restaurant street corn should be on the menu maybe festival or codfish fritter… just a suggestion. My big oxtail meal came and it was ok. I was looking for more for brown stew oxtail. And that’s not what it was. I tried my friend’s dish. I thought the remix pasta was decent. The shrimp was delicious ? Overall the vibes was cute. I appreciated the evident hard work put into decorating and the vibe. I love that the cooks are in FOH so you kind of get a little peep of the team working. I’d come back again. Probably for the wings or to try their jerk chicken. Wishing this establishment nothing but success ❤️

This order was a takeout! I got the curry shrimp ?, the shrimps were either the extra large or jumpo, and 5 was given in the meal. The meal came with the traditional Jamincian rice and peas, potatoes, one small half corn cut in half with a piece of plantains. There was a slight spicy after taste to this dish. This dish was very small. I ordered two of the same dishes for a total of $58.00. In my opinion, a $25.00 plate should be just that not an $8.00 portion size. Very busy location parking on a busy day might be hard to find. Inside is clean and very newly remodel. Customer service was good although she was extremely busy. I might come back

This was an enjoyable experience! I felt like I was at my neighbors house eating food with them in the yard! Lol. Food is great, flavors marry in your mouth and the staff is truly amazing. The owners truly care about how their business standards are reaching the people! 100% recommend! If not for the vibes, most definitely the food, escovitch wings, the red snapper, the Scotch bonnet BRUSSEL SPROUTS…Omg best I’ve ever had!!! Federal Hill, you have a WINNER!

The food is LOVE. The atmosphere is LOVE. The chef and the staff care about the quality they put forth and it shows in the taste and the experience. Yard is 10/10 across the board and very easily by favorite Baltimore restaurant for authentic Jamaican cuisine! This is also a BYOB establishment!

This place was amazing The food was great. The atmosphere was great chef remix was amazing he came to the table. He talked to us. He told us about his food and how he got started and just made us feel welcome and like we were family I will recommend this place 100%, we had jerk chicken wings, oxtail sandwich, Jamaican patties, and brussels sprouts Chef kiss don’t walk run!!!!

Snapper platter was terrible. Fish was under-seasoned as well as cabbage. Rice and peas only had a few beans in it and the rice was not cooked though and still hard. Rice also tasted like the forgot to add the coconut milk. Called restaurant 6 different time about the issue but phone just rings. Food was delivered and took 1:40 minutes to receive.

Yard in Federal Hill has taken over the location of a former soul food spot, and it’s clear they’ve brought a fresh new look and energy to the space. I placed an online order for jerk chicken with cabbage and rice and peas, and it was ready as soon as I arrived—no waiting around, which I appreciated. The guy who handed me my food was so friendly and personable that I’m guessing he’s either the owner or manager. As for the food, the jerk chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked, with just the right amount of spice. The cabbage still had a nice crunch, which I prefer, and paired well with the bold flavors of the chicken. The rice and peas had good flavor, though I found myself picking out a few too many cloves for my liking, which was a small hiccup in an otherwise satisfying meal. Overall, Yard is a solid new addition to the area, and I’d definitely return for the flavorful food and welcoming atmosphere. Just keep an eye out for those cloves!

Very good food, and great service, good hospitality. The rice and beans was very seasoned and the rum wings were exquisite. 10/10, definitely recommend.

Right off the bat we were greeted by the chef & a customer standing by the counter who guaranteed we would be returning (& he's absolutely right). Our jaws dropped at the portion size! Chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender, well-seasoned, and the sweet/tangy sauce paired so well with everything. The plantains that came with were INCREDIBLE. From the vibes to the people, everything was amazing. Can't wait to go back for more!

The food was AMAZING! Best Jamaican food I’ve had in a while. The restaurant was aesthetically pleasing - beautiful decor. & to top it off, the customer service was great. I’ll definitely be back!
