Wow, what a place. Prices are a little high, but if you can't find it anywhere else, Second Chances will have it. Good place for second hand granite

Favorite place to go and always find a bargain. Just a great experience. The gentlemen that work there are the best. Never a negative experience. Very helpful, polite, knowledgeable, just plain nice. Go for the experience! Its fun. Furniture, kitchen cabinets, appliances, wood flooring, restorating materials, lighting, artwork, garden things, patio furniture, everything except clothing. Always something for somebody. Amazing! Just fun.

I love this place and the inventory is constantly changing. All of the workers on the floor are helpful and friendly too.

Pretty cool selection with wildly varying prices. Some things will cost less than you expect and some will cost far more than you could afford. Quite confusing honestly but in general really nice selection for people from home owners to someone looking to furnish an apartment. Also has a large reclaimed lumber section with old growth etc. Prices vary again but pretty massive selection. If you have cash to spend on interesting finds, really cool place with decent parking

As other people have said they have very high prices on donated junk. When you find something that you’re interested in and want to negotiate ,they tell you to come back in a month. We came back four times. The same manager that we were referred to a month ago priced the items $20 more this month. In addition to that we had to beg the guy in the red shirt to even go ask the manager (he recognized us and told us that the manager probably wouldn’t adjust, even though at this point it has been there for 5 mos. )This place used to be worth visiting, now it’s very overpriced ,non-negotiable and not customer friendly

Come with your walking shoes. This is a great place to find second hand furniture, cabinets, flooring, doors and building materials. A lot of high end good quality old furniture. The prices are a little negotiable.

This was my very 1st visit here. It was to my understanding that majority of the items fir sale were second hand but the prices were that of brand new furniture. That left me confused. Personally, I felt like it was a wsted visit.

Easy drop off. Ample parking. Do your drop off receipt on-line and you will get confirmation email. They don't give out drop-off receipts anymore. Then take a look around and get yourself something nice!

It's not a terrible place but since they won't let you pressure test radiators(an easy $2-400 purchase that's quite a gamble you're asking people to make. Props on saving the bel loc diner signs though. ✌️✌️

Omg !!! I have never seen anything like this! This place is incredible. It is huge filled with treasures so many things to look at. I doubt I saw everything I wanted to buy so much lol it was like the Disney World of antiques and secondhand furniture and appliances they had even little sections with displays of furniture. I could spend all day in here. It is a bit pricey, but from what I understand, you can negotiate not quite sure I didn’t end up buying anything. I can’t wait to go back wear a coat because it is cold in there when it’s winter time this is a must see must stop place so amazing!

You can find amazing things here if you are willing to look. The staff is very helpful and the inventory is vast. If you go for a specific item you might be disappointed, but if you go looking for opportunities they are vast. The job training component is unique and a feel good addition.

Some used items you can get online just as cheap, especially rugs. Carpets are a great deal here if they have any. Could be cleaner, but if you are redoing rooms and need flooring or wood for various tasks, this is a good place to go.

Great place you name it. It’s there if you’re renovating house or looking for something unique or different from a dresser to a bed or chairs. I love their window section and door section because you can find anything that you could possibly want . you know I’ve got an old house. so I went there looking for unique doors and windows. I found a whole wall of windows that I put in my house, old exterior windows and made it in an interior window/wall. You know all kind of neat knickknacks benches. I’ve got tables chairs from there now the only thing that I don’t like lately with the inflation going up, their price is kind of went out so you win an air and you kinda got a pretty good deal now you really gotta look for a good deal Plus, I like they have Viking stoves in the back that are used but I really reluctantly think that I’m gonna get a Viking stove for $800 for $600 and it’s gonna work right but you buy it. It’s it’s yours but they say it works do they guarantee it? That’s my question Otherwise all the staff great positive attitude helpful you need anything you just ask they’ll direct you to it,

This place is a true treasure! So many team members to help if you have questions or need anything. An it is huge with so many wonderful vintage and new to you items to explore!

Helpful and friendly staff. They answer questions well and point out items you might have missed. They are also extremely helpful in loading your items into your vehicle. Look for sale tags throughout the store. In addition, their prices drop the longer an item has been for on the floor, check the sticker.

A large warehouse that’s a thrift Gem. Each visit to Maryland, this is a go-to for me. “I want it” “Where am I am going to store all these items” How am I going to get this back home (out of state) is what I find myself asking each visit. They have really great finds that you’ll want to buy each visit, especially if you’re a person into antiques and furniture. They have everything from vintage claw tubs, vintage stoves, victorian furniture, antique mirrors, gently used furniture from businesses and people’s home and so much more. Also if your looking to do some renovations they have plenty improvement materials such as appliances, window treatments, doors, flooring, lighting, ceiling fans and so much more. The employees are great and always willing to help you with your questions.

A wonderful place to look around, to decorate your home or to donate to. They are a non profit organization who has some incredible pieces. From sofas, kitchen appliances, photoframes, tools, materials, to outdoor furniture. They have some unique art work and historical items and antique items. Each time I have gone there I have purchased things. I have gotten a Radio Flyer red wagon, size 5 dog muzzle and a fireplace Tv stand (literally my favorite new piece of furniture in our home). A variety of items. You definitely need a few hours to be able to look at everything. There is no air conditioning there but they have fans everywhere! The workers work extremely hard and are always friendly and helpful. The guys in the red shirt help you purchase items and answer questions. The black shirt employees help move the items and load them to your vehicle if necessary. We have recommended this place to everyone we talk to and we will continue to come back!

My husband and I had each heard of this store before, but we visited for the first time yesterday. The store is a cross between the Home Depot, a thrift store, and maybe even an art gallery! If you are not familiar, this is a nonprofit that give a second chance to items that come from a variety of different places, as well as to folks who have hurdles to employment. Check out their website to find out more about their overall mission. My husband and I were overwhelmed with how large the facility was, and the vast variety of items they had to offer. My husband was in love with all of the different flooring and beautiful wood that have been salvaged from different places and was available for purchase at a fantastic price, compared to retail. There were some very cool items that had been dismantled from homes of local well-known folks, and even from a movie set. If you are looking for items for your home, or in the middle of doing a remodel, you might want to check this place out because they have so much amazing stuff. The photos we took were of some unique, and rather price the items that are available. However, rest assured, there are so many more items that are a lot more reasonable in price. LOL If you want to spend your money with an organization, that does great work, definitely check this place out.

What a place to go! This is a rarity to find such an incredible shop of used goods - and not your average kind. This is very much a store for building a place and unless you’re a contractor, going in with a plan of a specific item won’t render much success I’d imagine. They’ve got so much and prices are reduced the longer it sits at the warehouse. Lots of crap too. Be willing to spend good time here and in the mood for a hunt!!!

I was fortunate enough to stop by second chance last weekend. This place is very cool and they have everything. The mundane and The random all assorted in this giant warehouse. This is a great place to thrift to your heart's desire and give some antiques a new home. I definitely recommend checking out second Chance if you're in Baltimore!

This place is awesome!! Big warehouse like building full or furniture, knickknacks, building materials and more!! Be prepared to walk and if it's winter dress warm. There is definitely something for everyone. If you're looking for antiques or something hard to find, come here. Several historic pieces.

Great unique furniture and other home goods! Some stuff is in great condition for good prices. There were a few items in poor condition or that were a little pricey. If you look around, there are definitely great finds to make your home unique.

An architectural salvage heaven!! So many wonderful pieces! Cabinetry, flooring, appliances, housewares and lots of smaller items! I found an asian wall hanging, vintage cabinet pulls, trays, crystal, silver and more. Some things are pricey, but… there is so much to look at, and plenty of items that are reasonably priced. So come down and get your treasure hunt on!

Ok. So Second Chance is basically a Baltimore institution. An amazing warehouse of reclaimed home furnishings, construction materials and decorations that is simply. Joy to behold. The facility is huge! It is well stocked. The historic furnishings and materials are beautiful. Have you seen the stained glass? Wow! Check out the pictures below. Most importantly, 2nd Chance is staffed by a knowledgeable, courteous and hard working crew. They know their stuff! They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. There is always someone a few steps away to help you out. If you are doing a home project, big or small, you won’t regret stopping there to see what they have.

I learned about Second Chance through my builder. The process was amazingly simple. The crew took about 3 weeks to deconstruct my home. They take every piece of the house they can salvage. There is probably 80 percent less rumble that will get taken away which means less demo costs and better for the environment. They were careful and amazingly polite. They allowed my family to come in every night to show the process and when it got too dangerous they escorted us around the property. This is a great company with a good mission

Beautiful. Flat, but uneven ground. Bathrooms are far from the entrance but are clean and stocked. Staff are wearing clothing with logos so they're easily identifiable. They're everywhere, so friendly, knowledgeable, and fun even just to greet in passing. Items are neat, organized, clean, and clearly labeled for prices and terms. There's a great mix of treasures to find at all styles and price points. So many incredible finds here, plan to make more than one trip! Head over on a rainy day and you'll pass the time before you know it.

One of my favorite stores ever. Whether you’re looking for shutters for your windows, old fancy bathroom sinks, or just about anything else that has ever been put into a house, Second Chance is the spot. Most of the items have seen life elsewhere and the prices slide down the longer it’s in the store so you can definitely find a deal or two. The best part of the place is the one of a kind stuff. Like the old Bel-Loc Diner sign or the university of Maryland Cole Field House wood floor that spells Maryland. They have so many pieces of intact stained glass and wall candle sconces you can practically build your own gothic castle from their stock. And if you’re just visiting, a trip to Baltimore is just not complete without a visit to Second Chance.
