Let me say this the people that works for this company E.T.C Recovery are the biggest thieves I ever came across i had so many items stolen from my car its hands down disrespectful the co-workers was acting like they did not understand what was coming out of my mouth when i was explaining missing items from my vehicle the one girl keep trying to get me to fill out a form like that was gonna bring my items back. But its ok I believe in calmer, YOUR DAY WILL COME…Please anybody thats reading this DON’T DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY

I seen a lot of reviews and comments about the Receptionist, My experience was nothing like that, She was very polite, she was fast, it was like a 5 min thing. For all the other reviews i’ll have to agree with. The tow guys came to my house alittle before 2am on 12/30/24. I went out and spoke to them, they both were extremely helpful, gave me advice , helped me to understand the process. Not sure why two tow trucks came, i’m assuming for their safety which is understandable. They allowed me to get my personal property out of my car, i took my wallet, my sons wallet , my fiancé’s wallet, my kids car seat, and a few other important things to me. I then locked my car and went inside. 12/31/24 I had called to schedule a appt to get my car, they were closed due to it being a holiday. I tried to schedule a appt online like the automated message says, there is no place to do that. I called again on 1/1/25 to set up a appt.. They were closed. I called today 1/2/25, they were able to get me a appt and I was on my way. When I got there , I was confused on where to go, there are no signs. Someone in a tow truck told me to wait at the shack and she’ll be out. Which she did come out fairly quickly, remind you I was early for my appt. She asked for my license , and 50 dollars in cash. Not sure what the 50 dollars was for, when I talked to the guys who were picking up my car, they said I wouldn’t have to pay anything there, it was between my finance company and myself. Whatever though, no big deal. I was just excited to get my car back. I got to my car, and it was covered in mud. That’s fine, it was raining no big deal. The car next to my driver side was EXTREMELY close to the point I couldn’t open my door. So i opened my passenger door to climb across. The first thing that I noticed was the mud on my passenger seat, the glove box that was open, and the mud that was on my glovebox itself , which is weird because my car was locked when they took it , it was locked when I got there.. But why was there mud INSIDE my car. I pulled to the street and looked through my car, I didn’t notice anything missing.. I was just more surprised that the interior of my car looked the way it did. Overall, I had no issues with the receptionist, very polite , very friendly, very quick and efficient.. I had no issues with the two gentleman that came to get my car, again very polite, very friendly, extremely helpful and knowledgeable in this situation. The place itself? Shady. The whole issue with my glove box open, and the mud on my seat and all inside my car is evident enough for me.

Have to say they were very helpful to me. When I called they were very professional and explained the steps I needed to take to recover my vehicle. I went to pick up today after signing the paperwork I walk to my truck and realize I don’t have my keys. My phone is dead and I took a Lyft to get to them. Jasmine let me use her phone to call my son to contact Lyft and for me to call Walmart to see if I left my keys. The keys were at the Walmart in Glen Burnie. Jasmine and the boss’s wife went to get my keys for me. While I was waiting for them to come back one of the drivers gave me a charger to charge my phone. I appreciated the kindness shown during this crazy time for me.

They tried to reposes my car today that I paid cash for 2-1/2 years ago, had serial number and my tags but different name,, I never had a loan on it so they had no right. Police made them drop it, I'm sure they will try again, I hope they come to my house this time...........

The women that I worked with was very professional and accommodating the transaction was smooth and seamless nothing in my car was out of place or mishandled my experience was nothing like what is outlined in the reviews given the circumstances this was the most effortless part of the ordeal

These hours are ridiculous. They tow your car in the dead of night, but are only open for 6 hours through the day (10a-4p), by appointment only. Terrible inconvenience in what is already an inconvenient situation. But, I guess companies like this don't care about things like that.

Didn't like the way they was talking to me on the phone and kept hanging up on me and they wouldn't let me get my.personal items out my truck

I live beside this lot and the 24/7 BLARRING SOUND OF HORNS IS RIDICULOUS AND UNBELIEVABLE TRULY!!!!!! THW LOTS LITERALLY LITTERED WOTH TRASH... CATS...FOXS. AND JUNK, THE HORNS NEVER STOP AND SOMETIMES THERES AS MANY AS 10 GOING OFF AT ONCE!!!! In any other neighborhood this wouldn't be tolerated but in the hood it's ok I guess

Randomly got a call from their # and the person on the other end insisted that they had the right person. They did not. I don't own a car. Due to the various reviews, I am sort of questioning the legitimacy of this business.

I’ve been waiting over 72 hours for a vehicle to be picked up the person on the phone informed me that the driver was on the way and never showed now it’s 4:28pm and they’re close .

I am here to tell everyone that this place has really opened up my eyes and and the fact that the comments are really bad I’m here to tell everybody that this place was really a good place even when I picked up my car everything was just how I left it nothing was wrong with my vehicle or nothing was stolen from my vehicle the staff here was very friendly and very helpful..

I literally came from getting my items today from my car and realized that all of my Change ($2 -$3) was taken from the ashtray. I asked the young lady (will use that loosely) what happened and she was looking stupid in the face and told me they can review the cameras. They must have needed it badly. Be careful these people are crooks. You have been warned.

I am a transporter, I scheduled a pick up for 3 units last Friday. For Carsarrive .They gave me appointment for today Tuesday afternoon, and, when I called, a woman told me they have only one ready. When I went to pick up the car, I ask them in a polite way, why they didn’t send a message before my called, and the woman, who happened to be the owner for angry, and refused to give me the car. I lost my money and my time trying to do my work, in this place.

They steal out of your vehicle!! Don’t let you get your own items out of your vehicle for that exact reason!! This place should not be in business!! Looking into a lawyer and reporting them to the state if Maryland! Make sure you check your items before leaving and call police if you are missing items this is against the law. Full of theifs and crooks!! Tow company’s are regulated so they think they can steal and get away with it. Make sure you contact a lawyer right away!!

Their automated phone message says there is a website to make an appointment online. When you go to the website, it is obviously not owned by this company and you can't do anything having to do with a car or appointments. The people on the phone really aren't very helpful when trying to get information from them.

I wish I could give NO stars at all!!! They stole all my sons tennis shoes out of my trunk!! They stole my storage key as well as my card with my storage access information on it!!! They don’t even allow you to go through the vehicle to get your own things they go through it & put your things in a trash bag & hand it to you! This place is disgusting!!

the lady receptionist has a nasty attitude. Rude and very disrespectful hung up on me twice. Acted like she has never been in a situation and never will. Just so unfortunate

Signed for car when I got in noticed missing things and I had my car locked . Your job is to tow , based off the comments full of crooks !! Do better !

Asked on Wednesday (11-24-2022) ifthey would be open on Friday 11-26-2021 the receptionist said yes and I could call then to schedule to pick up my car and they are closed! In addition there is no place on the website to schedule redemption. Do not trust there automated messenger, DO NOT trust the receptionist to give you correct information!!!

The experience of dealing with etc was horrible I was leasing a vehicle from OTR leasing a tractor and trailer me and OTR releasing his falling out and disagreements I wanted things changed they wanted more money bad for business so I want a different option I had to get my personal belongings out of this vehicle which I travel for a living and I had a $600 GPS in my truck it was stolen by the recovery company and they also tampered with my ELD system which is a logbook for the federal government for the transportation division just be careful they will still your stuff

This place needs to get new receptionist and people answering the phones. And take a class on customer service. I called in with some questions and I got greeted with attitude and nastiness. I understand people can be terribly rude when it comes to their cars being repossessed, but maybe if the receptionist answered the phone without an attitude. I do not appreciate being spoken to in that way. And from the looks of these other reviews, this place is not doing a very good job.

I wanted to share my experience with ETC Recovery. Most times people only leave a review when it was a bad experience. Personally, everyone I spoke with on the phone and encountered in person was very pleasant. We have to remember these guys are the middle man, doing a dirty job for a big bank who doesn’t wanna get their hands dirty. Phone calls to a repo man are usually nasty per the consumer end. They’re just doing their job. Which is to take back a car that hasn’t been paid for like you promised. My car was not rummaged through, damaged at all and like I mentioned above, everyone was very nice.

This place and their employees are VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! They damaged the vehicle then tried to say that another company had the contract before them. They had the nerve to try to cover up the damage and say that they we doing it as a favor! They curse at their customers, refused to give copies of the paperwork claiming that they discard it after they send it to the finance company. I hope the get audited since they don't keep paperwork. I wish they had negative start option. I don't know how they are still in business.

If I could give this place negative stars I would!! Car was towed & stuff was stolen. It's bad enough people are having a hard time with income because of COVID.. why steal? And it had to be an employee because all gates are locked and blocked off. This company is TRASH!!!

I know that them recovering my vehicle was my fault. I did expect my swiss army back pack (in my trunk) to be there when I claimed my car..., thank you for leaving my golf clubs and shoes. I hope someone that can return that back pack to me cares...

VERY HORRIBLE PLACE TONYA IS VERY DISRESPECTFUL SHE HUNG UP THE PHONE 2XS SAYING SHE WAS LOOKING FOR MY ITEMS THAT WERE IN MY CAR WHICH WAS MY HUSBAND FATHERS RINGS IN A BACKPACK, MY DADS TOOL BOX, AND SHOES IN WHICH I SELL AT MY BOUTIQUE!!! THEY TELL YOU 72 HOURS FOR AN APPOINTMENT WHICH ISNT TRUE SOON UR CAR HITS THERE LOT THEY POP UR LOCK AMD RUN THREW UR STUFF I JUST FILED A POLICE REPORT FOR MY ITEMS BBB NEXT!!!!

This company is the BEST!! Great pricing and even better turn around on repossessions. They are very quick and easy to work with. Shawn and all the drivers I have met were very respectable and are easy to reach any day of the week. Thank you Shawn and ETC Recovery for making my job life a little less hectic.
