My first visit to MSAC was amazing! Based on a coworkers recommendation, I set up an appointment. WOW got in right away, with every step of the process detailed with options and pricing. Staff were incredibly polite throughout. Felt like I was part of a family. Can’t say enough good things. My auto care partners for life.

This auto mechanic place is honest and reliable, which as someone who is not well informed about cars, really appreciates. I brought my car in twice so far in the last year to get routine maintenance and was satisfied. Their location is a bit out there and the staff prefers that customers do not to wait in the lobby, which feels unwelcoming.

Being relatively new to Baltimore, I relied on reviews and recommendations of others to find a new auto mechanic. I decided on Monument Auto Center and can’t be happier! With my car now aging, it’s been getting cranky but MSAC has been there for me with quick, honest, reasonable repairs! I fully trust and appreciate this shop!!!

At least the front desk staff are pleasant enough, otherwise I'd give zero stars. I was instructed to bring my work fleet vehicle here for maintenance. After two visits for the same issue (still not resolved), I would NEVER bring my personal vehicle here. My first experience was for an oil change and for them to check the brakes which I felt were vibrating. I made an appointment for 8am and dropped the car off. I called around 1:30pm and was told they hadn't even pulled the vehicle into the garage yet. They told me the delay was due to staffing, which I guess I can sort of understand (but then why give me the appointment?). At 4:30pm I got a call that the oil change was done (8 and a half hours after my scheduled appointment), but that the car needed new brakes, but they couldn't get to it that day because the shop closed at 5pm. Because this was a safety issue with the vehicle, I booked the next available appointment, which wasn't until a few weeks later. The day of the second appointment, I dropped off the car again at 8am. By 2:30pm, I hadn't heard anything, so again I called for an update. This time, I was told they hadn't gotten the brake pads yet, but that my car would for sure be done by the end of the day. I went back to the shop at 4:30pm and the gentleman at the desk said they still hadn't gotten the pads in. Again, I was told there were staffing issues. Perhaps I expected too much, but I would have thought that when I made the appointment, they would have ordered the brake pads so they were available to be installed. Because I'm operating a fleet vehicle, I now have to take the car back to this shop a third time, to have the work done for which I initially took it in weeks ago. Until then, I guess I'll be driving around (carefully) on very worn brakes.

I had a really great experience having my AC/heat repaired and new tires put on. They were honest and the price was fair, total matched the estimate even though they did some additional labor, and it was done on time and correctly. What more could you want? Special nod to Gary, excellent customer service Sir.

Baltimore streets can be a complete terror on your cars suspension. I brought my car in for an alignment, and they went way above and beyond. I couldn't be more satisfied, I'm seriously telling everyone I know about their quality service. Those guys are AWESOME!!!!

One of my tires had a problem ( bulge on side, possibly due to a pot hole??) and needed to be replaced. Liz quickly looked up the warranty info on the tires and ordered the tire. She fitted me in to replace it, even though it was a busy day. Now I feel that can safely drive again without being afraid my tire is going to blow out.

I highly recommend. My husband and I needed our cars inspected and they were accommodating of our busy schedules. They let us drop our cars off the night before and pick up after hours (paying over the phone). This is very helpful with our hectic work schedules. My husband is able to do a lot of maintenance on our vehicles and his car needed a little work to pass inspection. They looked it over and then told us what all needed done so that we could discuss what we were able to do and what we wanted them to do for us. Their prices are fair and reflect the level of work and professionalism we received. My only complaint (which is not on them at all) is that the overnight staff where our keys were left (not a part of this business) gave my husband a hard time picking up his car because it was my name on the slip, not his. Even though the car is titled to him. He just had to show proof and they released the car. But it was an inconvenience that I will avoid by stressing to them which name to put it under.

Gary, the owner, is GREAT at communication. Prices are competitive and if you are an employee of Hopkins they give you a discount. I think Monument Street is the only Garage to check with me After the Service to see if everthing is good and that I'm happy with the work!

So far so good, Gary seems very polite, honest and trustworthy. Im taking my car down there Monday Nov, 20th for inspection. I already know what might not pass and I'm looking forward to see the response from their mechanic. I will be posting a update after my appointment. Update: They did the inspection and I learned that another company that did the pre-inspection obviously didn't even look at the car. I was told by that other company all I may need is struts. Gary personally took me to my car and showed me what they found and it was a bad sway bar, a few lights out and the back breaks were so far gone they were practically bare metal. I have to say, Monument Street Auto Care is the most honest, professional auto shop I have ever dealt with. After he showed me the issues he worked with me financially to get the issues taking care of. The initial estimate was higher than the final costs because they were so honest they let me know that a procedure that they normally would bill for didn't need to be done and subtracted that from the final bill. This auto shop will be my go to shop for any future repairs because everything I experienced with this shop was great from the start. They were honest, professional, timely, organized, the staff were nice and helpful and they really show you they care about your situation and the car they work on. I was sheepish at first in trying out the shop but I am glad to have had the pleasure in doing multiple business with Monument Street Auto. Gary and staff are honest, polite, and pretty fair. Now I mainly go in for routine work, (oil changes, tire rotations etc.) but I have had a good amount of major repairs done to both my car and my wife's car and have never had any issue afterwards. I have been going to them for at least 3 years now, never had a complaint yet. I highly recommend anyone to give them a shot. (Of course as a consumer do your research, I cant stress enough why its important to go to people who are ASE Certificated. Also look at pricing on parts you need, know your car! A lot of people these days think they are getting gouged at car shops because they don't do their part in research. I never feel this way going to Monument Street Auto. The owner is always willing to listen and work with the consumer.

Gary and his crew have always taken care of me when it comes to my truck. I've never had any issues with any work they've done. All of the guys there know their stuff. I always recommend Monument Auto to anyone who wants quality work at a fair price.

I can only say WOW! Gary and his team are absolutely the most professional, customer oriented, caring, talented individuals that I have ever associated with. They have fixed my car several times and have done a wonderful job. Gary is a person that I would trust with my car and anything that required maintenance pertaining to my vehicle. Very convenient and the price is better than the most popular auto repair shops. Staff is very informative and they have my car ready by the end of my work day. They always let me know what has been done, what needs to be done and the cost for both. Very reasonable. I would recommend them to anyone.
