If I could give them 6 stars I would. I was treated kindly from the first phone call I made and all the way until my vehicle was ready for pickup. The team worked efficiently and got my brake pads replaced in only a few hours. I will definitely be returning.

It was a so great experience. It was easy to schedule my appointment on the website. Once I arrived I was acknowledged right away and work began on my vehicle. The service advisor kept me informed of the findings and advised what else need to be done. Not only did I receive text notifications of the work progress but the advisor personally came out to inform me as well and was knowledgeable to answer my questions.

The Joppa Rd Towson, MD location is consistently a great service provider! They solved an unbalanced tire issue that was not resolved 2x at the location in Bear, DE! Highly recommend the Towson, MD location on Joppa Rd!!

Recently started doing business with Pep Boys and have been taken care of well. After a diagnostic was done I needed to have my alternator replaced and had the service done within 24 hours. Unfortunately the replacement part was defective, but Pep Boys stepped up to make it right and me back on the road. The staff at both the Joppa Road and Harford Road locations in Baltimore definitely met my expectations. Thanks for going the extra mile.

My oil has never gone dry after an oil change. Got my oil change here couple months ago. Got charged over a 100$ which I don’t even pay that much when getting my oil change done at the dealership. My oil isn’t leaking or nothing. Come to find out my oil level is dry after checking few days ago. Close the damn location down. Yall got 3.0 on yelp.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received at Pep Boys this evening, where I attempted to have new tires installed on 1/12/26. While Corey was polite throughout the process, Mechanic Evan encountered difficulties when removing the rims from my tires, incorrectly stating that they were bent. However, my rims were not bent, and I witnessed Evan bending one of them (right passenger side rim), while trying to remove the tire, which is a significant concern. I suspect that Evan was eager to leave by 7pm and was unwilling to complete the task, despite my arrival at 5:30pm and the current time being 7:15pm. As a tire shop, Pep Boys is expected to provide assistance with tires, including rims. Unfortunately, Evan's performance suggests that he lacks the necessary expertise to handle this task, and I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received at Pep Boys tonight. Now I have to deal with a bent rim when it's time to get tires changed which will be an issue of mine and not Pep Boys. Pep boys location Joppa Rd.

On a saturday night just before they closed, I discovered my tire had run over a piece of metal abd almost gone flat, Corey and Evans got me in and got me a tire so that I could be safe.They were absolute angels and a true godsend... No fuss, helping more than I had any right to expect.This place takes care of you.

I live out of town and purchased tires and install for my daughters car. They did a great job communicating with me on the progress of the vehicle. They also offered a quote for an issue they found with her car. Andrew and Brian did an awesome job with their customer service. I will use Pepboys in Towson for future car needs. I took my truck in for a wheel alignment and wheel balance my truck was at the location from 9-5:30. After a couple days the ride was still not right so I checked my wheels and there were no balancing weights on any of the wheels so I scheduled a return visit. When I returned the tech told me that they didn’t have the equipment to do my wheel alignment because my truck was lifted and they could only balance 2 of my tires but I had paid for all of this on my initial visit. They did provide me with useful info upon my return visit and refunded me for the first visit but if I didn’t look no o e would’ve told me anything

Andrew answered my many questions thoroughly and patiently, and was a pleasure to deal with. My car service was scheduled within 24 hours, and the work was done quickly and for significantly less money than the three other places I checked with.

I went to the pep boys on Joppa road September 7th 2025 Sunday and this was the worst experienced. I purchased four new tires with wheel alignment and I asked to have my light bulb replaced on the driver side which I already had a light bulb so I just had to pay for the labor for that. To make a long story short, he replaced the light bulb on my driver side. However, he broke the light on my passenger side and did not tell me. I had to find out when I was driving around and at night that I only had one light. Secondly, I was never giving papers to show that I had a wheel alignment done. When I went back to the location they could not pull that information up so I have to go back to make sure that it was done properly which I don't think the technician did the wheel alignment since they was short-staffed and he seemed very frustrated. Thirdly, when I got my tires I noticed the air pressure was high. It was reading between 39 and 38. My car tire pressure should only be 32. When I told the gentleman at the front desk he had me see the technician and drive my car to the rear. When I pulled my car to the rear, the technician seemed very disoriented and rude. And fourth I've been to this location Sunday, Monday and Wednesday for service that has not yet been completed and I've already paid for and I still have to go back on Thursday September 11th to get my alignment done which should have been done on Sunday. I wish I read these reviews before I took my car to this location. I will never never ever go back to this location. The wait is horrible. The service is horrible and you pay for work that you're not getting done. An inspection was supposed to been done on my car which was not done amongst other things. This has been a horrible experience and I do not recommend this location to anyone to get their car serviced. Please try and find another location. I am praying the technician really did a oil change on my vehicle and not just place a sticker on my windshield. I'm actually going to go to another mechanic for them to look to make sure it's fresh oil because I don't trust this location.

This was my first experience and it was really great. My breaks were fixed in 24 hours on a holiday weekend at a very reasonable price. I was communicated with during the entire process, even being able to track my car’s process online. Corey, Cameron and Andrew did a great job!

Just went again this past week for some Help, Brian and Kevin were super helpful, some of the people are really rude in the area and the guys were super cool about it. I’ll be back again! I was here a few days ago and Brian went above and beyond to get what I needed to get done, very professional when explaining everything I needed to get done! I will be back again

Went in to get new tires and have whatever was wrong with the tire light taken care of (prob a battery). Charged us for a tire alignment. Picked it up, all looked fine. On drive home, tire light back on. Checked the air. 2 tires over filled, 2 tires under filled. I fixed that but light still on. Called they said, “might be a battery”, I could bring it in if I wanted too. (Why didn’t I think of that?🙄) While on the phone I asked about my alignment, told them I didn’t get a copy of the results like my husband just did for his. He said they ran out of ink (mind you they printed out all my other paperwork while I stood there to pay), said he took a screen shot tho before it was gone, just in case I called. He text me a picture… 2 of the tires are still in the red. He says that’s just how my car is. (Like what? I think I just got scammed outta 100 bucks.) Got off the phone so I wouldn’t yell. Next morning drivers side tire making horrible noise. Husband says to take it back to see what’s going on… they said the control arm was cracked. My sweet husband tells them to fix it and the tire light. Pick the car up when they said it was done. I guess it’s fixed but THE TIRE LIGHT IS STILL ON! Mechanic tells us we can probably get a battery from autozone. (GREAT! THANKS! 🤬) 2 days later, tire making the same noise. This time I do some research… google says check that lug nuts are tightened. (SOB!) I can turn them all with my fingers and one of them is missing. Turns out it broke off while I was driving!! Never again will I ever visit another pet boys, not any of them. I would also highly discourage you from going as well. (Side note: did I really need a control arm or had they forgotten to tighten the lug nuts after they put on the new tires but didn’t want to admit it. Both times the noise was the same, I just wasn’t smart enough the 1st time to google.)

I came to PEP Boys on Wednesday8/27/25 to get air in my tires. The technician Ian used the air machine put air in all my tires and stated that I needed a new vow for my back passenger tire. When I pulled off I noticed my back tire was completely flat. I came back right back and told him I didn’t come there with any issues with my tire and now my back tire is completely flat. Ian said all he did was put air in and he looked at my tire and also had a screwdriver in his hand. Ian said that I would need to go to the front desk and speak with Bryan. I spoke with Bryan and told him what happened. I also informed him that I just bought these tires from here a few months ago. When I came I had nothing wrong with any of my tires. Bryan put the ticket and took my keys and said that the technician would fix it. I stayed for about 30-40 minutes. While sitting there I noticed how unprofessional the other technician Kevin was to the other customers coming in to be serviced. I kept hearing my horn to my car going off and so I asked why my horn was going off. The technician Kevin stated in a very harsh matter that happens when the tire sensors are being reset. I finally got my car back. No apologies from anyone. I have been coming to PEP Boys for years and I have never experienced the kind of unprofessional and incompetence I received here ever.I know this is a long review but it was definitely necessary. Something needs to be done because this is beyond ridiculous. I do not plan on coming back here for anything.

If you’re looking through these reviews for a reason not to go here, please take this as your sign. I scheduled an appointment online for a new set of tires. When I showed up the date of the appointment, I was greeted by two gentlemen who had no idea why I was there. I was showed them my confirmation email, and they replied that it must have been a glitch that allowed me to schedule the appointment. They clarified that due to a holiday, they are unable to get materials for me, and that I shouldn’t have been able to schedule. They offered to reschedule me to a different day. I said I understood, and rescheduled to a Monday evening. Come Monday morning, I call the shop ahead to confirm my appointment. A gentleman answers the phone and confirms my appointment. Monday evening, I arrive for the appointment, and am greeted by a new technician, Corey. Corey has no idea why I am there. I explain to Corey that I had an appointment on a prior day, and that I’ve been rescheduled to today. Corey informs me that he has no record of that, and that they are unable to provide the service. Corey continues to explain that management has left them short staffed and without adequate warning of my appointment. I don’t make any complaints, but he can tell I’m frustrated. He makes me an offer — “come back in two days on Wednesday, and I personally will make sure that your service gets done, and you’ll get a 10% discount for your trouble.” I agree to give it another shot. Today, as I’m writing this, is Wednesday. I once again arrived for service and was greeted by Corey. Once again, Corey did not understand why I was there. I reminded him that we agreed to reschedule for today. Corey then tries to tell me “no, we discussed this on Tuesday, and I told you to come in on Thursday.” For a second I almost believed him, but then I remembered that I’d been taking notes and making calendar entries about all the rescheduling. I double check the notes in my phone and “nope!” I inform him that we in fact met two days ago, and that he promised me service today after two confirmations and two reschedules. “That’s crazy,” he replies. He takes my keys and walks to the back. He then comes back with my keys about 30 seconds later saying that — you guessed it — I can’t receive service today. “This really isn’t my fault,” he continues. “Management left us short staffed, management lets people call out whenever they want.” Corey mentions that I can speak to the manager if I want to. I think he said “Dave,” but I can’t really remember. I ask Corey politely if I can speak to him by phone to see if anything can be done. Corey tries to dial him for me, but he didn’t answer. “You can call him here in the morning,” Corey tells me. I don’t care. I’ve gone out of my way three times to try to buy a new set of tires. I’ve made three appointments, been blown off three times, and received three excuses. I’ve wasted too much time to continue with this. And I’m the fool here, really. I’ve never tried so hard to give someone money for them to just refuse to take it. All I’m saying is, when you need service, don’t risk it here. It might be *long* time before you’re taken care of.

Service writers are really good people, friendly and professional, kept me updated by phone on brake repairs. I was concerned about price, but they took pictures of rotors, and yeah, definitely needed more work. BUT at a very reaonsable cost. Thanks y'all.

I was so great full that I was able to get an appointment so quickly. Corey checked me in and he was a breath of fresh air. Very professional and easy to talk with. While Andrew took care of my vehicle, and kept me informed on what was going on each step of the way. I highly recommend the Pep Boys on Joppa Road in Baltimore. Service with a smile, and great customer service. Thank you for taking such great care of me.

horrible experience. I bought tires 3 months ago that exploded. Had to tow my car back to them, they kept my tire key so I couldnt change the tire but they returned it. Tried to charge me for 2 more tires . was very rude and disrespectful. While there customers complained about bent rims , warranties etc. Worse experience of my life. I ended up paying 2000.00 to have the dealer fix the mess that they made. Enter at your own risk

Went in yesterday to see about tires for my truck. Andrew is wonderful foun me what I was looking for in my budget on the rim and out the door. Back here today as promised 12 o’clock. He is very knowledgeable. Has a wonderful attitude. I highly recommend this place. and recommend Andrew.

I had a flat tire and called to see if they had my tire size and brand in stock for my car. They did not have it in stock, but the lovely Corey ordered it for me at 6pm Monday and it arrived the next day before 12pm. Corey was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I also love that he gave me exact pricing for the tire and labor ahead of time. The man deserves a raise!

Corey and Steve provided excellent service. Corey went above & beyond getting me rescheduled from Merritt Blvd. Corey is well mannered, professional and attentive explains your service needs, keeps you updated with the progress while waiting. Ery friendly and welcoming, unlike the Merritt Blvd store. Ms. Jo is definitely missed. Steve my service guy provided an excellent job with my alignment and inspection. Listed in detail service suggestions. I recommend Joppa Rd store any day.

My partner and I were on a roadtrip from NY to NC. Well, during our initial day of take off, our car started making terrible noises and kicked the bucket on the highway. We made it to this PepBoys location and were met with extremely wonderful customer service from Andrew and his co-worker, (Tyre, I believe?) Their kindness and willingness to work with us absolutely everything we needed to feel better after such an awful experience breaking down ~6 hours away from home or familiarity. We hunkered down in the lobby for the day and the boys even stayed 40+ minutes past closing to get us back on the road (this was a SUNDAY, mind you.) This service was exceptional and we shall always remember them! We contacted several other mechanics and were given uncertainty, untimely solutions, or straight up insults. SO glad we found PepBoys. They outrank their competition x100. Below is the picture of the culprit who ruined our day, which was taken care of just a few hours later.
