UPDATE: STILL After many many many weeks my claim was denied and the location is NOT taking any responsibility for their error. I have requested everything in writing! Swindled out of $1,300 and then asked for about $400 more when the first repair did not fix the problem. My son and I ended up on the side of 695 in the dark of night. Have to pay someone else to properly diagnose the problem as Pep Boys has not accurately diagnosed the issue after two visits.

Ms Jessica was so friendly and thorough. It’s nice to see a female working in a previously male dominated workplace. She kept me updated with vehicle progress. I called the day before and spoke to Mr. Jeffrey. He was confident that Pep Boys was capable in meeting my vehicle needs. I met Mr. Jeffrey with service completion and I am truly grateful. There are no dashboard notifications!

Very unprofessional and irresponsible ! Called PepBoys customer service and they confirmed my tire appointment at this location. I got there on time and after waiting for 10 mins I was told that they can’t take me in today even though I had taken an appointment already. Wasted an hour driving to this store and back only to be told that they can’t work on my car’s tire as they are busy. Don’t understand why they confirmed me an appointment in the first place.

Staff was great and attended to both alignment and rotation plus tire replacement in a timely fashion, applying my existing warranty to bring down cost of replacement. Great customer service overall and strong wifi made it easy to work from the location.

Great experience with Pep Boys. The manager thoroughly walked through the things the vehicle needed done right away and what could wait. Applied all available coupons to keep the cost of needing all new brakes more affordable. All the work done same day. Will definitely return again for service in the future! Thanks so much!

This place was great. I had a 9:00 AM appointment to get four new tires and an alignment, and I was out the door by 11:00 AM. I also spoke with Kris about a slight vibration issue I was having. His team found the problem, a bent rim and even recommended a place to have it fixed. Great service all around. Definitely my go-to place for future tire purchases.

Had a problem with a leaking tire. Couldn't find anything in the tire but noticed lots of tread wear. Took it to Pep boys hoping they could repair it but expecting to need new tires as the existing ones had almost 25,000 miles on them and they are the original manufacturers cheap tires. Foreign object found and tire couldn't be fixed. They were able to put on 4 new Cooper tires and got me back out the door in about 2 and a half hours once I agreed to new tires.

I usually go to the dealership for ALL of my vehicle's maintenance and service, but I drive by PEP BOYS often, because I live in the area and decided to give them a try. This was one of the biggest mistakes I have ever made!!! In August 2025, I got 4 new tires, front breaks, and rotors. My breaks have been squeaking ever since. I had to take my car back three times and the third time while it was there, someone dented and scratched my driver's side door. I called corporate and no one has contacted me. I also had to call the police. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION TO ANYONE!!!!!!

Prompt, direct, and efficient. Went and replaced three tires and have been completely satisfied with the results. Car runs like a dream and their work effort prevented me from having to wait until a future day to get the job done. Thanks again guys for taking my car last minute on a Friday evening.

I had a 5 PM tire installation appointment and even showed up early at 4:55. The manager mentioned they were running behind and might get my car in later. It’s now past 6:20, and they still hadn’t even started! If they were fully booked, a quick heads-up would have saved me a wasted evening. Apologies at the counter don’t make up for poor time management. Definitely not the experience I expected — I’ll be taking my business elsewhere next time.

Very knowledgeable, and honest technicians. My 2007 truck's issues are a bit complex. They told me what they knew, which was a lot, and didn't have me throw money at guesswork. I really appreciated that. I think it's a good shop to establish a relationship with, instead of going from shop to shop for repairs and advice. Greg

My experience with this pep boys was PHENOMENAL! I had a blown tire and wanted it replaced immediately. I also decided that I wanted all 4 replaced. Pep boys had my rarer tire size available. Pep boys had all 4 ready to replace my old ones. Pep boys had an immediate available appointment. Pep boys was timely with their work. Pep boys demonstrated great customer service.

Very pleased with the work done on my car. I’ve taken my car there 4 times now and each time has been great. Chris has been very helpful on helping me figure out my issues and I’m grateful for the mechanics that get assigned to work on my car, they do a great job at inspecting it and getting the job done.

I had an appointment with the Pepboys (Catonsville, MD) on Saturday, August 9, 2025 to replace my two rear tires on a 2013 Toyota 4Runner. When I arrived I was greeted by Jessica, and she assisted with my service. She stated that it was best practice to get all 4 new tires to eliminate the risk of damaging the drive train in the future, so she went through the tire promotions with me to ensure I was getting the best deal possible that fit my budget. I initially opted out of the alignment, but told me to come back as soon as possible to get it done. I eventually opted in to have the alignment done while I was on site. She was extremely helpful during the entire process and a complete professional. My initial issue came in when Kristopher informed me that one of my passenger side rear studs broke when the technician was taking off one of my lugnuts, and he took me to the back to show me what happened. I understand things happen, however, the vehicle was in the possession of Pepboys during the time of damage and in no way I should have had to pay for the labor or supplies due to the damage that occurred while taking off my tire. The delivery of the message was like this is the cost of the repair, and if you are not able to pay for it today then you'll need to get it done sooner rather than later along with the alignment. No accountability or acknowledging that this broke in our possession and we'll cover the charges for this matter. I only opted into to replacement because I didn't want to risk further damage to my rear passenger side wheel and I didn't want to have an unsafe ride for my children or myself. I also noticed a rough ride and loose steering on my 4Runner since the work was completed. I figured I give it a little time to settle in. However, nothing improved. I checked my tire pressure on my vehicle Sunday, August 17,2025, and my air pressure was beyond the required specs for a 2013 4Runner which is 32 psi. (Front Driver: 40.5 psi, Front Passenger: 39.5 psi, Rear Passenger: 39.5 psi, Back Driver: 36.7 psi. Kristopher was not rude. However, I didn't bring my car in with a broken wheel stud and I should not be required to fix it after the damage occurred while in Pepboys possession. I have a ticket open with customer service. However, they are quick to tell you they will address the issue and no one follows up unless you send a follow up email.

Jessica was AMAZING... I ended up at the Rt 40 location because another location was not clear on what I needed done, and because the car is for my daughters and she travels long distance for school, I wanted to be sure that everything was done properly. Jessica took me to the car and explained the measurements on every tire. She then explained what should be done moving fwd and suggested a suspension evaluation. That put me at ease and gave me a better understanding of what was going on. Needless to say ill be going back in a few days to get new tires and an alignment. THANKS JESSICA for your patience, knowledge, and great analogies LOL.

My experience was excellent. Jessica took my appointment and she was clear in how my service would go. The price was very reasonable for the service rendered. My truck has no issues after service. I would recommend this branch and service to anyone in need of new brakes and rotors. I very pleased.

Bait-and-switch, rude staff, and a total waste of time. Scheduled an appointment online at Pep Boys for an AC check on my car after seeing their “Free Quick Evaluation” and a $9.99 AC evaluation special advertised. Got a confirmation, showed up as scheduled and that’s where the nonsense began. The service advisor started checking me in, but a technician (possibly named Chris butted in with a condescending attitude, saying the free evaluation is “just to get people through the door.” When I explained my AC issue, he smugly replied, “There, that’s your evaluation.” I asked about the $9.99 deal — he flat out told me it doesn’t apply and that the real cost is $450, and I’d have to leave the car at 9 am for an entire day. When I pointed out the obvious false advertising, he rudely told me to go to the dealership instead. It’s rude and unprofessional condescending conduct like this that enables the dealerships to thrive with outrageous prices. Absolutely unprofessional, dishonest, and disrespectful. This place runs on bait-and-switch tactics and arrogant staff who treat paying customers like they’re doing us a favor. I’ll of course never return, and I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone — unless you enjoy being misled and talked down to. The process for an appointment at Pep Boys was easy from beginning to end. I scheduled the appointment on line for a diagnostic. When I arrived for my appointment, I was greeted by Jessica who was friendly and knowledgeable. Jessica informed me of the service needed for the vehicle as well as cost. I could also follow the progress of service through an app on my phone. They got me in and out and I didn't spend most of my day sitting around waiting. I enjoyed my visit to Pep Boys and will use them again.

I stopped in to Pep Boys for an oil change, thinking I'd have to make an appointment and come back later. Jessica was able to get me set up for the following day, but amazingly, I got a call that my car was ready before they closed that day! The price was extremely fair, service was friendly and quick, and I felt respected and valued as a customer. This shop has a new loyal customer for sure!

Geoff is absolutely amazing. He takes the time to explain everything needed very clearly. He's kind and understands customer service. I continue to bring my car here because of him and Chris. Definitely a great location. They are the best.
