This location does not take aluminum or steel . If you have these items just go to Maryland Recycle and don't waste your time. This place is picky , make sure you call ahead to make sure they except your "Metal" . I'm not sure why some reviews rank this place with high regard they are not a full service scrapyard!!
I have been going to Mid-Atlantic Metals for about 8 or more years It's a really friendly and Family owned place by Mike and his brother they have the best prices for scrap copper brass and metal around town you guys are awesome 💯
This is the place to go to get more money for you scrap metal. They have the best pay around Baltimore, and if you have big amounts of scrap they even provide a container to your job site to make things easier.
Crazy Mike and Will are a always willing to help,same with all the other guys working here.
This is the best place to bring metal because they are very nice honest and we'll respectfully people and they have great employees who is willing to help out if needed but over all I would recommend this place for presses metal then any other place around so with that said I'll be there tomorrow ...so once again I am always sadified with what they pay
I have been dealing with Mike and His Brother since 2006.And i telling anyone that scrapes.Copper,Stainless Steele,Aluminum ETC..THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO GO AND THE PRICES ARE VERY GOOD.
Before I traveled to Mid Atlantic Metal (MAM) on June 26, 2019, I contacted 3 different scrap dealers in my area. MAM quoted the best price by far and that’s why I selected them. When I arrived, I expected they would nit-pick the cooper gutter I brought because there was paint on the cooper itself. Or alternatively dispute the total weight of the cooper itself which I had carefully and tediously measured on my home scale – large, heavy cumbersome piece by large heavy piece. They Did Not – their wait matched my weight.
Mike and his co-owner older brother were gentlemen in every sense of the word. I subsequently learned that this is a family owned business started by their father decades ago.
While the facility look exactly like you would expect a scrape yard to look like – jagged pieces of metal and such strewed about, I actually remain longer then I had expected having an enjoyable conversation with them both. I would certainly recommend MAM for I found the owners to be HONEST MEN and that’s a lot to say- given the thieves and cheaters that ply this trade. I highly recommend this business.
Quick and easy process to get cash for my old copper plumbing. However, I weighed my metal before going and it was 55lb. Their scale read 11lb lighter coming in at 44lb. They did do a re-weigh with the metal dumped right on the scale (not in the bin they provide) after I said something about it, but it made no difference. It is what it is. Still got a good price for it. But I would definitely weigh your haul ahead of time.
