This place is great. Had all four tires replaced on my 2019 VW. Very convenient location if you live in the city. Customer service was excellent and I think my car was done in less than four hours. Thanks!

Gerry's has been our "go to" for our car needs for years. I count on them because they're honest and dependable in every situation - from planned services to the occasional "oh crap" situation where you need immediate service. Prices are always fair and up front. I've pulled in a 6AM with a tire issue knowing they'd be willing to quickly evaluate the situation if possible and work me in where they could. They've advised me away from services I didn't quite need yet and offered alternatives/better options that have worked for us. This morning was yet another "oh crap" moment where the guys at Gerry's came through same day - their familiar, no frills approach wins every time.

Only place in the city I'll go. Just a straight up reliable and honest shop. They get you in and out extremely quick with great customer service. Never had a bad experience

We are fairly new to Baltimore and needed brakes on our car in a hurry; they went from fine to grind in a day with no warning 'chirp.' The team at Gerry's replied quickly to our service request and got us in and out the same day at $300 less than their initial estimate. Clear instructions, easy drop off/pick up, clear invoice. We've found our mechanics for scheduled maintenance. Highly recommended.

Came here for a punctured tire right after having my car serviced at the dealership. Apparently during my tire rotation something was cross-threaded. They told me it was common with my dealership. Being very kind, courteous, and professional, they explained it all to me, and let me call the dealership to update them on the situation. They then filled my tire up with air to ensure I would make it safely there and let me leave free of charge. If you’re in Baltimore, just go here. You will be in wonderful hands

Words can’t even explain how much I love this place! As a woman I’ve definitely been taken advantage of at bodyshops where they use big car terms to confuse me and make things seem URGENT or a MUST NEED and my car will break down if I don’t do this or that But not at Gerry’s! I’ve been going to them for years now and every time they have been very concise with their communication and explain things in a way I’ll understand. I have NEVER been pressured into getting a service and it’s always just a “just so you know” conversation. I was greeted by another person today than the usual I see and even he was so assuring that nothing will be sold to me unless I actually need it and gave me tips and tricks on how to maintain my car better! Amazing amazing amazing shop and I suggest them to anyone and everyone

If you've read any of my reviews, you know I call them as I see them. This one gets a five. I have a BZ4X Toyota, and it doesn't have a spare. I was on my way to my marina when someone came into my lane. To avoid him I turned sharply to the left and hit the curb at about 10 miles an hour. It blew the tire and I had to call Toyota service for a tow. I googled tire places near me and this one was only a third of a mile. I explained my situation, in essence telling him that he had me over a barrel. I was going to go there anyway but I did check prices, it's a rather expensive tire, and found that his price was lower than the Firestone store, and no more than anyone else's. Got complicated and I ended up needing more work so I claimed it on my insurance and it took a week to get the parts in. With all that going on the only thing I can tell you is that it went quite smoothly and I am very satisfied.

Gerry's Tire is by far the best service center in Baltimore City. I have worked in Baltimore City for 15 years, and Gerry's Tire has been a community staple since year one. A level of dedicated customer service that doesn't seem to exist anymore at their price point. It shows that they care about being in the community, not their profit. Going to any other location is just wasting your time and money. I do not live in Baltimore City, so I travel to Gerry's Tire, which should tell you how good their service is.

First time here and took my chevy in for a number of standard maintenance needs for its mileage. I want to note the excellent honesty here, as I was told I didn’t need either of the engine flushes I was expecting to need, which was great to hear. The gentleman running the office was friendly and communicative and the work was done very quickly. I can tell they run a tight ship here. The bill was fair for the work and service and the location is easy to access. I will be making this my new go-to mechanic in the city.

Check your purchase: I did not and I regret it. I ordered a set of tires for my 2015 car from Gerry's back in 2019/2020. My wife took the car in to get it shod. When she went back in pick up the car they informed her that my ordered tires had a defect; so they replaced them with something they had in stock that was comparable. I looked up the tires, they were comparable in performance and cost, so we moved on. Four years later I get a nail in my tire and the tire place I stop in to get it patched (Not Gerry's) tells me that they are refusing to work on my car. The reason? My tires are from 2013 and therefore not safe; non-compliant with DOT rules. I could not believe it, but on closer inspection, yes, all my tires say 2013 on them. The tires are literally 2 years older than my 10 year old car. Amazing. So I got swindled, and Gerry's literally put me in a situation where WHEN PURCHASED NEW my tires were already 7 years old and should not have been sold. So now 4 years later I am shopping for new tires, and realizing I have been at risk all this time with old, cracked tires. Not good. Not impressed. I had heard a lot of good things about these guys; but that was not my experience at all. Might have been an oversight; but it put me and my family at risk. Long story short: Check to make sure that you are getting a current product; tires expire and if old should not be used or sold. These guys should have known that, I have a hard time imagining they did not, since they are a tire shop.

I normally get my maintenance done at another auto shop, but was in the area and needed an oil change. Process was straightforward and easy, but I was charged more than I have ever paid for an oil change. I’m aware of what fair prices are since I’ve gotten work done on my car in multiple states. I do not believe it was an honest price. Some auto shops will charge you a higher rate if they think they can take advantage of you. Person at front desk was not friendly. Interior mat on driver’s side was not clean when I picked up the car, which was freshly cleaned when I dropped it off at their lot. Better prices and friendly mechanics can be found elsewhere.

I've used Gerry's for several years and many types of services. In the past, they would always call to review their findings, provide an estimate, and get my approval before proceeding with the work. On my most recent visit I did not receive that communication. Instead, I only heard from them when they called to tell me the vehicle was ready for pickup and I owed several hundred dollars for resurfacing rotors and changing air and cabin filters. I asked why I was not notified before the work was done. They said when I brought it in I complained about braking and asked them to fix it. That is not true. I explained what I was experiencing, but I still expected the same communication I was used to receiving so that I could make an informed decision on what I wanted to do. Even if that were the case, I certainly did not authorize them to replace filters. After I got home I realized how much they charged for that alone, and I was even more irritated. They do good work, and I don't disagree with what they said was needed; but I value trust and communication, and they failed on both of those.

Called them last minute and they were able to get me in for a nail removal and patch. Super nice guys, clean shop, great communication, professional = how a tire shop should be run. Highly recommend.

It’s hard to find an honest mechanic, but Gerry’s is one of them. He’ll tell you when a repair is needed, and when it’s a waste of money. He took a look at my car and determined the AC was going to cost $2.5k to fix. We both agreed that’d cost more than the value of the car and wasn’t a good idea. He charged me nothing for the inspection. I also love that they open at 6 am - this makes it much easier for residents at Hopkins to drop off their cars before work. He has become the go-to mechanic for residents in my program.

My heroes! I had just arrived in town for a 4 day conference and had heard some "click click clicks" about 4 blocks from the hotel. Sure enough, with all the construction, I'd run over a piece of metal that lodged in my tire. Thankfully before the car was valet parked (and not seen again until the weekend), I saw the pressure had dropped. I am SO glad I found Gerry's!!! They got to my car quickly, repaired the tire and sent me on my way. Add to this they are all incredibly nice. I only wish I could pack them up and take them home to use as my regular place.

On 3/15 my tire pressure light appeared on my dashboard with a warning for one specific tire but recommended to have all 4 tires checked. I googled “top rated tire pressure check and repair” places near my residence and Gerry’s Tire Service Inc appeared. I went immediately to Gerry’s without calling or making an appt because I had to go to work so I took a chance. Not only did the guy behind the desk, possibly Gerry, acknowledged me when I walked in at 7:30am, he asked me a few questions after his call and knew actually what my tires needed and at the correct pressure. He also gave me expert advice on what I needed. Then I was on my way to work and signed on early! Gerry’s Tire Service Inc have professional, experienced mechanics! They provide other auto services in addition to tires. I will trust them with servicing my vehicle again. Check them out in Baltimore City, EastHarbor side. Super fast and friendly, made my southern heart feel welcome in the city. I was headed out when I saw my tired had a flat at 9:20am. I called Gerry’s and was told that as long as I got in before 10, they’d get me done before the afternoon was out. Limped on over and got there around 9:40, walked home. Got a call saying one of my other tires was on its way out, so they could do both if I wanted. Also gave me an estimate for how long I’ve got for my brake pads as part of their inspection. 11:00 I got the call that my tires were on and my car was ready to go when I got there. They even encouraged me to bring my dog in so they could say hi! Big thank you to Mr. Pat and Mr. John for helping me out so quickly. Will definitely be returning for future services!

My sister recommended Gerry’s to me for oil change and regular preventative maintenance, and I have not been disappointed. They have never tried to upsell me on things and don’t magically find things wrong with my vehicle. They are fast and priced very fairly. I’ve been taking my Toyota to them for about 3 years and every experience has been great: I highly recommend them!

Friendly people. Quick service. My first time here. Google reviews are accurate. Place is 5💫 they have an early morning drop off which is before 7:30am make sure you call them. And then theyll call you when your car is ready. For someone who doesnt know how to parallel park, it was very convenient they have parking lots in front of the building which makes it easier for customers.

I stopped in at Gerry's without an appointment because I am not car savvy and could not figure out if they plugged/patched tires and did not want to make an appointment and waste their time/an appointment slot if they did not. Through previous experiences I learned that not every company patches or plugs tires. I had my tire plugged about a year ago somewhere else and it was all fine and dandy until I started driving around the city more frequently and noticed that I was constantly having to put air in my tire. Not only was the customer service spectacular, but I was able to have my tire patched within the hour at a VERY reasonable price. I was more than happy to pay whatever based on how pleasant everyone was and how quickly they helped me out even though I did not have an appointment. If you live in the city or in the surrounding area Gerry's is definitely the place to go. Easy parking with a full open lot across the street which is also great for anyone who may be unsure of city parking (me). For any future car or tire help I will be going to Gerry's. Great guys and great company, I can't recommend them enough. Thank you!!!

I had a great experience there! I got a nail in my tire and I was an hour from home. I saw that Gerry’s Tire Service was 5 mins away from where I was and gave them a call. Amazing customer service from the book keeper, Frank. He was patient with me and answered any questions I had. Wayne, the mechanic in charge of fixing the tire was great as well. A bonus is the facility is very clean (including the restroom) with a welcoming environment.
