This is the only scrap yard I've been to and never felt like I got robbed. Always pay to price for cans. Never much wait unless you have allot of metal.
One of the employees outside guided me where to park and helped me load the bags. He also disposed of all my trash bags., lol. Definitely will come back in the future and recommend to others. Thank you.
As many other people have noted in reviews - they beat or met pricing for crushed aluminum cans. Also, parking/drop off can be challenging but the workers will help direct you on where to park and when to pull up to offload if it's busy - just try to be patient and safe as it's off a busy street. I was told the best time of day was early and it gets a busier later in the day. Had over 300 pounds of crushed cans in about 43 garbage bags and the workers helped unload and weigh in an extremely fast manner - no issues, in and out faster than I expected.
I have been here several times before bringing crushed aluminum cans. I generally call at least a half a dozen places to compare prices. "Cactus" is always at the top or even with the top price for aluminum.(Note: crushed aluminum is $0.10 a pound more here, but often times you won't get this price on the phone until they see that you indeed have crushed your cans)
The people who work here are always very nice, sometimes not perfect with their English but sign language works. Parking can sometimes be a hassle. They have a scale and do scrap metal in front of the business and I don't know what goes on once you go through the gates to the rear, probably a junkyard. If you keep an eye on your vehicle you can park briefly at the adjacent businesses.
Cactus Recycling is the only place I go to recycle my metals. The staff there are very friendly and helpful every time I go there. Don't hesitate to stop by.
Terrible service wouldn't recommend at all!! Barely give you anything for you recycles .....i feel they coukd of gave me more but.. I wish I can give them a 0 but it is not option.
I went there a couple months ago and they not only helped get the bags out of the van but they also showed me the weight before and after the container was on the scale so yea they honest people plan on taking my cans and plastic bottles to them again
Best recycling center in Phoenix. The people are honest, friendly, and helpful. And all around I think they pay same or higher then any other scrap yard.
Employees are Spanish speaking FYI. Park next door under CRS sign if they are busy. Everyone was very nice and got me in and out as quickly as they could. Prices may have changed as I got $14 for 20lbs of aluminum cans (about 5 large black bags worth). Will be coming back. Thank you!
I live in east Mesa and pass up many yards because these guys are honest on their prices and weights owner is straight forward and to the point. Yes parking can improve but they have very efficient workers. I usually bring my stuff sort it out and I am out within 30 minutes . I recommend this place.
They move quick so service is fast. Looks friendly. The only thing if you look around other reviews is just their parking. Very few spots very tight. Other than that good place.
Went just before noon. Was helped immediately. No nonsense. Place is a little disorganized, but hey, it's a flippin' scrapyard. Got $15 for one, full, normal kitchen trash bag of aluminum, and 4bags of plastic bottles. I think it was fair, and I'm from CA. Would definitely recommend them.
The lady that speaks English tried to steal my dog and then justify her actions by acting like I don't take care of her then when I had the lady finally bring her back she kept her very expensive harness and had a cheap dollar store collar . Very shaddy actions if they will do someone that way then I'm sure they run their business with their shaddy foul actions also so don't trust th

I love this place everyone is helpful, and polite. The only thing is that they need a bigger parking lot, other then that i got no complaints about them. Im glad our friend Ernie recommend them to us.
Today i was there for the first time they told me it was the Only place that buy copper with or with out ID it was true the only thing they forgot to tell me it was filthy filthy nasty dirty an smelly . You cant even walk to the window were u get paid cause is so cramped up with boxes of copper , wire ,brass they have better selection then home depo .
The best in Phoenix that I've seen so far and I swear to Allah. $1.00 per pound on aluminum cans, and $0.50 for plastic bottles. No one can beat their offerings. Papi over on 27th Street and McDowell is good to, but the only difference is that he pays a nickle less on plastic bottles, which doesn't matter I guess. I still only use those two depending on what side of the city I'm on at that time. You just can't find him on Google though.
