The owner said he was an honest business but he turned out to be the opposite his secretary and himself told me if I pay for a diagnostic test and later he does the work on the car he would deduct the 150 dollar diagnostic fee. In my case I asked to do the diagnostic due to my transmission having issues but he took it upon himself to replace oxygen sensor and charged me for fixing sensor and diagnostic. Transmission issue never even looked at. Real bad experience. So today I finished paying Steve off for supposedly work done on my truck he says he doesn't charge a diagnostic fee if he does the work he did the work. Supposedly replace oxygen sensor that cost 123.00 but when I dropped truck off there was no check engine light on so dont know how he knew to replace sensor. I see Steve just about everyday because I park my trailer in a storage yard right behind his business and he has trucks and cars that have been parked out in front of his business and street for months never could figure out why, now I know. I'm sorry for putting him out there like that but he's a bad man for business. I went with to his shop because how close he was but what a big mistake that turned out to be. Never again and I hope people who read the reviews think twice because this isn't fake im so upset how he felt charge what he wanted and I had to pay to get my truck back. He'll probably reply saying they have no records of my truck.

This is by far one of the best and friendliest staff I've ever dealt with in the auto industry.. I have a pretty unique engine set up and have been denied by more then 6 shops to do basic maintenance.. Anthem Auto took the job zero hesitation.. I have sense come back another time and was met with a warm welcome and was taken care of by end of day.. small team so you can't expect miracles but good people which wins my grace as a customer through and through.. if you're intimidated but itching about getting something done.. this is the local shop I'll continue to return to so long as I live in the area!

They got my truck right in and they were very honest and got my AC fixed same day and even checked out some extra stuff on my truck for free. Awesome shop

My van broke down and I was stranded in Phx, on literally a moments notice Anthem not only came through for me by accepting my vehicle on the spot they started the repairs immediately. The workmanship is excellent and the price was beyond fair and to be honest, I thought it was going to be much more. The professionalism, work ethics and quality of work is second to none. I haven’t had this excellent of service is a very long time. I cannot express enough what an outstanding company this is. I am way beyond grateful

All I can say is wow! I recently moved here and was having major issues with my vehicle. I took it to Steve and his team. They were super patient and worked with my schedule like nobody else would. Every time a new issue would pop up, Steve would jump on it and do his absolute best to get it taken care of in a timely manner. I couldn’t have asked for better service as they take pride in what they do and their name! Give them a shot! You won’t be disappointed.

Walking into a business for the first time, one can never know what to expect. However, I can honestly say from the moment I walked in, I was treated like family and greeted with a smile. Leslie and Steve, both, were very busy. Yet they took the time to shake my hand and speak with me. Both were able to answer all my questions and give me all the information I needed. If I could give them 10 stars I would!

I had transmission issues and Scott and his team found the issue and fixed it promptly. Car runs quiet and shifts smoothly now! Im very satisfied with the work and the price is right!!

Called the shop at 9am and asked if I could get the car in today for a serp belt change and get it back today... Owner said yes over the phone. I confirmed with him that If I had the car in by 1:30, he would have it done by close, and also confirmed the price. I then left work early and had the car there by 12:30. We talked in person, confirmed price and time it would be done and I left. 30 minutes till close rolls around and I still don't have a call update about the car, so I head to the shop and I see the car never even moved. I go inside to see what's going on and the owner just said got busy mid day and acted shocked when I told him he couldn't have the car over night when I said I needed back several times today. Then processed to have his wife find my keys while he leaves the office. In result car never got fixed, wasted PTO, and was bluffed to right to my face. Could at least call and say we are too busy or be honest from the start and say we cant get the car in. Unacceptable business practice, know your limits.

Steve and the staff at Anthem Auto Repair are a cut above the rest. Professional, efficient and timely! I’m very glad that I found them. Would definitely recommend their business to anyone looking for honest auto work for a reasonable price.

I went in because I was told I needed to replace my clutch from a place I got my oil change. It really made me think how would they even know I needed one? Steve was amazing and talked about the diagnostics he did. Appreciate him so much. Turns out, I DID NOT need a new clutch. Definitely will be bringing my car here if I ever have any issues. Steve is open and honest and we need more mechanics like him.

I’m new to AZ and needed a bit of maintenance done on my Mercedes. A friend recommended me to this shop and I was not disappointed. I’m always concerned that mechanics shops will try to overcharge or find ways to up charge me. Not here. Steve and I think his wife were super nice and professional. They did the work at a very fair price and I had my car back in less than 24 hours. I highly recommend this shop for good honest work at a good price.

I have had nothing but good experiences here at Anthem Automotive. I have came in 4-5 times in the past for brake pads installation, diagnostics, and a few other part installations and have not had a problem with any of my repairs/work. The prices are great and you will be satisfied with what you receive. I had some unrecognized issues with my vehicle and Steve, Leslie and staff made sure to bring those issues to my attention which demonstrated honesty as shown in their motto, ‘Bringing honesty back to the industry’. I believe that with any facility, as long as you are paying with value and respect, you will receive that back. I chose this automotive at first because it was close by and had good reviews. It now feels like the local mechanic I can take my car to and get work done when necessary. FYI If you would like your vehicle to be serviced here make sure you call early in the morning and in advance due to a queue of repairs like any other automotive.

Anthem came highly recommend by the previous owner of my truck. The Carfax shows this shop keeping this truck up and running the last decade of it's 20 years on the road. Their service was quick and simple. Highly recommend.

Had my transmission replaced a year ago it gave out on me. Had to use the warranty and gave me an even worse transmission. They took over a month “looking” for a good replacement transmission and less than 3 months later 3rd gear is slipping. Never do business wit these people. Now I have to pay over $1,800 againfor a repair that should’ve been done professionally a year ago. And I paid in full cash was ready. UPDATE REPLYING TO OWNER. My name is Angel delacruz and I had the red 2004 Silverado. Now do you remember me? Or you’re jus saying stuff to not have bad reviews to your business and I did get a warranty but the warranty transmission you gave me is even worse then the one you put before.

Excellent, quick service. Took my 2003 VW GTI in for what I assumed was a transmission failure, week of New Years Eve, they took the car in, and called me a few hours later and told me it was the axle and not the transmission, much to my relief. Ive brought it back a few times since for general stuff, oil change, tires, etc. They are very quick, very friendly. Definitely recommend. Check engine light is FINALLY off.

I’m not sure what happened with Steve in my interaction with Anthem Automotive. I had an appointment to drop off a vehicle for service on June 8th. About a week later, since this shop is very close to my business, I stopped and asked Steve what is the status of the diagnostic or repair of my vehicle. I was told that they are working on it. Another time when I stopped by, I was told that they ordered some relay for it... The vehicle was parked outside the whole time. During this time, Steve never contacted me with any updates regarding diagnostic or parts to be paid or anything at all! Steve knew I have a client for the vehicle once it is fixed, since on June 11th, I was there with my customer from San Diego to show the vehicle. On July 16th, after more than 5 (five) weeks, I went to Anthem Automotive and told Steve that I would like to pick up the vehicle since there was absolutely no activity or updates regarding the repair. He gave me the keys and told me that they are busy. During these 5 weeks, I never received a call or email regarding an invoice for diagnostic or parts ordered that I have to pay. I guess they never inspected the vehicle. The vehicle was parked on a public street for weeks. I am glad nothing bad happened to my vehicle. It appears that nothing was done to the vehicle by Anthem Automotive… In my experience of more than 13 years, I never had a similar situation. It is not professional to check in the vehicle of your customer and just do nothing regarding servicing it. At least tell the customer that you can’t fix it or you are to busy or something and ask the customer to pick it up. But just to waste customer's time, it’s just not nice or professional. Time is so precious! Now I have to contact my customer and explain this mess...

Had my Suzuki in this shop, they did a fantastic job on my car. I will go as far as to say, these are the only mechanics allowed to touch my cars. They are honest, trustworthy, reliable, and dependable. My car was in here for a month, but i also have a very unusual car that i can't even find parts for. They found the parts needed, redid the valves, passed emissions with flying colors and runs beautifully. I now have my other car in this shop. These guys are Top notch mechanics worth every bit of my time and money, and i can't wait to go back. Thank you fellas!

Ive taken my cars for service here quite some time ago. Im a classic car collector and I used to have a guy detail all my cars when I picked them up from auctions. Christopher was his name. I moved out of state and lost contact with him..I am back now and recently heard that he was doing detail work at this location. I called and the woman I spoke to informed me that they don’t offer detailing? when I found out I might be able to get my cars detailed and fixed at the same shop I was thrilled! Saves me time and money not to mention peace of mind knowing my cars are very well taken care of! Maybe others can read this and agree that this would be a great service to offer?

Clean, efficient, top notch service. GAVE ME A RIDE HOME AND BROUGHT ME BACK TO GET MY VEHICLE. Who does that??? Others have had positivite things to say but when I went there they knew I was moving the car out of state after the work was done and ended up cutting a bunch of corners. Not much integrity from this business! Maybe decent work if they know you’ll be in the area UPDATE: I did actually go here! They say that they have no customer records of every negative review they get. Again with the integrity issues from this company

If you want an honest mechanic that will not try to sell you services or parts you don't need, then Steve (the owner/operator) is your guy. I've been taking my cars and trucks to Steve for well over 20 years. Out of all the mechanics I've been to including big box retailers and so called pro shops, he is the only one who not only didn't over charge me but he also uses high quality parts. As far as mechanics go this guy deserves more than a 5 star review.

Truely there are not adequate words to describe the quality, timeliness, and amazing value these guys provide. I have been going to Anthem Auto for three years, and from the moment I walked in the door the first time I was treated with respect and importance. I have an older vehicle that has needed big repairs and they have gone above and beyond what was needed, saved me massive amounts of money, and always stood by their word and warranty. When I come in, they quickly find the problem, present the lowest cost solution, and then go out of their way doing the best repairs. I have no need to go anywhere else for my trucks needs. WOW! Amazing service. I recently brought my 1952 Chevy Truck to Steve to have many problems fixed that were not properly done the first time around for another place and I'm more than satisfied with the work that has been done. I also recently brought my 1952 Chevy back to have my new Chevy 350 355HP engine installed and not only does she look and sound amazing but she drives beautifully. Steve, the owner is amazing!! After driving in from California my truck broke down on a Friday afternoon. I called this shop and asked if they were open on Saturday and explained I was only in Phoenix until Sunday. Steve offered to fix my truck on Saturday and be there as long as it took to get it done. He fixed it and it didn't cost me a fortune. He truly understands what it means to own a business and provide superior customer service. He runs a first class operation!!! If I lived in Phoenix, this would be the only place I'd take my car. Thanks Steve... made it home to California safe and sound.

Steve and Leslie have the best automotive shop there is in Arizona!!! They have quick, dependable service and can help anyone out because there prices and expertise are through the roof! Anytime I need help I can always reach them and they always can help me out. They are located in a perfect area and always open when you need them. They are awesome I wouldn't take my car anywhere else!

Amazing service. My friends car was in pieces due to another shop taking it apart and after a month was not able to put it together. Had it towed to Anthem Automotive. In just a few minutes Steve knew exactly what was wrong to begin with and what the other guy had done wrong. He had it together in 2 days and for less then the first shop wanted. What a joy to find someone to work on your car that is honest, does great work and you don't have to wait a week to get your car back.
