This rating is based on customer reviews, inventory size, pricing, and service quality
In Phoenix, AZ, Precision Auto Parts shows mostly positive yet uneven sentiment: friendly, knowledgeable staff, fair pricing, and help sourcing rare parts; a clean facility and many quick, in‑and‑out pickups. But recurring complaints cite slow part pulling, long holds/no callbacks, mismatched or wrong listings/part condition, occasional price changes, and a few serious engine warranty disputes. Inventory breadth is solid, yet confirm details and timelines before driving far. Overall score: 77/100.
I bought a claimed 70k motor for my Tundra, had it installed at a shop, under 2k miles later (having changed the oil twice & paying attention it was not losing any) it threw a rod. Contacted Precision, first it's you must have run it without oil, then it's a few days past 6 months, then yes you found us & had us deliver it but the shop added it to your bill & paid us so we won't talk to you.
So I am putting a new motor in for a few hundred more than I paid for the junk motor & spending another north of 9 thousand dollars.
As if all that was not bad enough, it cost me 1k to find out the motor was trash because I thought it was just a starter & the Sequoia starter is a massive hassle to get at so it cost a fortune.
Avoid these horrible people selling junk for a premium price
I visited twice in one week and had a great experience both times! The team was quick, super friendly, and answered all my questions. Danielle was especially helpful and knowledgeable and she made the whole process easy and comfortable. Highly recommend!
Too, long to receive your part, came from up north 5hrs drive was told they have part but nobody to pull it until following week. People need there vehicle running asap
Super helpful staff and knowledgeable. Very friendly. 1000% doing business with them especially with the quality of parts available. Pricing is respectable and reasonable. Highly recommend. Thank you guys.
I just picked up a 2010 Legacy Driveline The part as described in very good shape excellent customer service very cool people highly recommended i’ve been one of their customers for the past 14 years. And it’s always been fun experience purchasing auto parts
Love there service they are great people never a problem been doing business with them for 43 years thanks Bob for your serves your a great man ps Mike does a great job to
Ive owned an auto repair shop since 2005 and used them often for low mileage engine replacements. They always took care of any issues I had. Now my nephew, who I referred, bought an engine and had has issues. I helped install this motor so it was done correctly. They are not guaranteeing their parts warranty. They want him to put in another engine with a lot more miles and not pay the labor. Also don’t want to pay for the parts to fix current engine. Until this is resolved properly I will continue to let my voice heard throughout the automotive industry here locally. You just don’t treat customers like this whether they have bought one engine or 20.
We have a 2006 Pontiac GT hard top convertible. My husband put his large saxophone case in the trunk. He forgot about it and later he tried to put the top down. It would not work and some parts were broken. Parts for this car are very difficult to find. I was determined to find the rare parts so my convertible would
Get repaired. With everyone told me to stop wasting my time but I made calls and searched the internet for at least 10 months then one afternoon I called Precision The woman who answered the phone knew exactly what part and as
Unbelievable as it was she had it!
DANIELLE worked so efficiently and with a professional attitude she made it happen and today my RED Pontiac convertible is no longer broken. She's home and safe in her garage. Thank you Dsnielle!! And a shout out to Michael who calmed me down when I was so concerned.
GREAT service.! GREAT people!
I've tried reaching someone for 3 days. No answer but I was able to leave voicemail one time but no one responded. They may be out of business or headed that way if they don't do better.
I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or what!! It’s happening for the second time when i call for a part and ask specific questions about color and status then i drive 50 minutes when the part is ready to find out the part has minor damages and NOT match with what I’ve been told on the phone.
They offered a discount but my point of getting used part is to avoid body work and avoid painting to save some money and time.
This place is very helpful I normally deal with Mike, but everyone is super friendly. Prices are great and if they don’t have it they help you find it. Great place
Tried to get a part locally from them they had listed. Couldn't get it for 2 days. Then was on hold for 20 mins to see parts availability and off the truck. Customer service and knowing when the part will be available is not ideal or reasonable time. Look elsewhere for parts like I did.
Felt with these guys a few times over the years and always had a good experience. Joe went above this time and made it a smooth and easy transaction where my
Daughter was able to
Get a part for me while she was passing through. Good work thanks again
Drove two days to pick up a very special and complicated part that needed to be removed a certain way. I clarified this twice and arrived to find wires cut that carry analog signals and won't work properly. I asked for a discount equal to the cost of repairing the part and I was given a fairly smug no. I'm sure they're fine for a lot of stuff, but they wasted two days of my life and a lot of money in gas to take this trip.
Bart was supposed to be ready on the 30th. Called on the 30th they said it would be the 3rd. Called on the 3rd they said it didn't get pulled out yet and they would call me as soon as it was ready. Didn't hear from him for almost 2 weeks. I had to call to check status. They let me know somebody forgot to call me. Then when I went to pick up the part price changed. Price quoted over the phone was $350 with no core. When I went to pick it up it was $400 with core. I gave two stars instead of one because everybody was nice to deal with and very friendly. Just poor business practice.
These people are very knowledgeable and professional. I’ve made it my new go to for used auto partsThey are amazing and if they don’t have the part you’re looking for they will find another store that has it in stock. I’d refer them to anyone. Thhhey also have amazing prices
Precision Auto Parts was great! I am so thankful that a friend recomended them to me. Not only did I save approximately $400, but Michael was on top of it ans had me in and out of there in no time! Thee best service!
They get busy an it is easy to miss 1email. I have dealt with them several times over the last 10+ years. Best thing to do is walk right in. They have been very helpful and knew which cars had similar parts.
Great place if you prefer to deal with honest people. They are so helpful and give you a great deal on used auto parts. Perfect if you have an older car that you need to keep running but don't want to spend tons of money keeping it on the road.
I called first to make sure they had what I needed. They called me back about an hour later and confirmed. When I got there it was pretty quick out the door. Great deals. Friendly staff. Easy to find.
I called ahead to request a part and I was told that they'd have it ready when I got there. When I arrived about an hour later the part wasn't ready. It took them almost thirty minutes to pull the part and get it ready. Other than that the staff was helpful and courteous.
So I drove in from East Mesa to look at / Buy a Transmission. When I got there I stood there for about 5 min (They were busy with other customers) and then I was Helped out by a super Friendly Young Lady. While I was waiting for the part to be brought up I was asked by 2 additional people if I had been helped. She was Great and listened to what I was saying and explained everything about picking up the Transmission. I was allowed to go to an inspection area where I was allowed to look over the part before it was loaded. Juan also came out and was Very helpful with information and also helped me load the thing into the Van. This was Easier than going to a local auto zone except for the drive. Very well done all who were a part of this process!! I will absolutely come back if I need additional parts in the future.
Professional, organized, friendly staff. Great service! We bought a used taillight and headlight for the teens' driving vehicle from here. After being treated like the only customer in the store and walking out with parts 15 minutes later, we are loyal customers.
