This rating is based on customer reviews, inventory size, pricing, and service quality
In Phoenix, AZ, MetalSort scores 97/100 with overwhelmingly positive reviews. Customers highlight professional, friendly staff, fast in-and-out, accurate big scales, a clean, organized yard, and competitive to top-paying prices. Spanish-speaking help, cash payouts, Saturday hours, and even help locating items—with call-backs when they arrive—suggest strong inventory support and ease of finding what you need. One outlier reports loading-priority issues for dry-van drivers, indicating occasional wait concerns. Overall service and transparency are key strengths.
This is to all dry van drivers, don’t ever come here to get loaded. They basically said that although I was here at my appointment time and the flatbed driver was late, they said that they don’t care about any other carrier besides the flatbed. Mind you the flatbed driver was late and I was here early for my 1 pm appointment.
Dustin is as Honest as they come and a Great person/Company to work with. He is very knowledgeable and knows his stuff. Dustin has also helped me recover a Full Load of Brass Shells that was stolen from another company on the East Coast - now if that's not a Guy you can trust to be fair and honest I do not know what is. I can't wait to do more business with Dustin in the future! Highly recommend! 10 out of 10
Went in with my kids and they loved that they got popcicles. That was great, especially in this heat.
I love that we are always greeted and the staff is so kind and welcoming.
I would 1000% recommend this place over anyother. Aside from the refreshers and treats offered when we come in, their office is super clean and organized.
I’ve delt with Dustin multiple times purchasing items he’s posted through OfferUp and have had him notify me on certain items I’m looking for and when he’d come across them and he’d notify me that he has it. He’s a great guy to deal with and his crew there are awesome guys that go the extra mile to help on loading and securing the load. If he doesn’t have what you’re looking for just let him know and he’ll call you when he does. Definitely worth checking out.
The owner here was my buyer at another scrap yard, opened his own yard and I quickly followed. Treats us customers right, competitive prices especially on my aluminum, friendly staff, and clean yard, it’s a quick in and out. I recommended all my friends and family to come here, plus open on Saturday.
My husband and I went here to sell all of our scrap metal and Dustin and his crew were so helpful and professional. While my husband was doing business I got to spend some time with his shepherd puppies. Made my day. If you have any scrap metal I highly recommend coming here. Will not be disappointed. We will be back in a couple months Dustin!
As a female coming to recycle, it can be really intimidating. Sometimes I feel like I don’t get taken seriously or I’m just ignored at some scrap yards.
At MetalSort, I felt safe and was taken care of. Prices were fair, the service was great. They took the time to answer and educate me about some of the materials I brought in.
The place is very clean. Looking forward to coming back again.
Visited MetalSort not too long ago to sell my scrap. It was my first time selling however Dustin and his staff were knowledgeable and extremely patient answering my questions. Ultimately, the process was fast, what I received in return was fair and the MetalSort team made the experience stress-free. Thank you Dustin and team!!
Let me start by saying Dustin is the most professional and down to earth person to work with. Me and my crew came here to sell all of our scrap due to the great reviews. Easiest process in the world he made it seem. Not only did he pay us in cash but didn’t hassle on our requests.
Also, being a huge dog lover. Dustin has some German shepherds that just made this experience that much better for us.
Dustin is an expert in metal, honest, and easy to work with. I can't wait to do more business with MetalSort. These guys know how to stack some wheels!
Quick and easy transactions every time I’m there. Dustin amd the boys are careful not to damage my equipment when they offload me. I am definitely a repeat customer. I highly recommend giving them a chance to earn your business, you won’t be disappointed.
I am a contractor who travels for work, I work with many different scrap yards all over the US. I have to say while in phx working with Dustin was a pleasure. Metalsort got my crews in and out so they could get back to the job site quickly. Also getting paid cash was a huge plus.
I’ve been in and around the recycling industry for a while now and I must say Dustin and his crew at Metal Sort are great. They offer the best pricing around with great customer service. I highly recommend Metal Sort and will be using them again soon.
Went here to sell my scrap and I encountered so much more. Everyone here was so helpful and polite, the customer service was the best I have dealt experienced selling scrap. They also educated me on how to clean and make more money on my material. This will be my new scrap yard as the service hands down beats the rest.
This being my first ever doing business with MetalSort LLC, turned out to be a pleasant experience! I’d passed by here multiple times & always wanted to stop because of its ideal location, but today I did. Let me tell you - I MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE!!!
I felt very comfortable dealing with the owner, Dustin, and lived the energy of the place! No hassle, no haggling over prices - he ended up giving me more than I would have gotten at SA Recyling (where I normally take my scrap). There were a few people in front of me, but every single person talked about how much they loved coming here and doing business as well!
My 15-foot trailer was completely full of a mixture brass & #1 copper. Dustin took the time to carefully sort it, weigh it and give me cold hard CASH!!!
Thanks a million, MetalSort! I’ll see you in the near future!
