Watch out they like to pull a bait and switch. Quoted me at $210 then the evening before the job they call and tell me Oops. It'll actually $1100. Ya canceled that one.

Terrible communication, qouted one price on the phone. Charged completely different. "Tow driver" doubles as a hack mechanic that lost driveline bolts and didn't put back together properly. Handing me parts in the end saying here's your parts "it's easy to put back together"

I called yesterday for a quote on a medium duty tow. William was right on it and set an appointment for me right away. This morning Bobby showed up on time secured the vehicle we bought and promptly delivered to your shop. Absolutely professional and efficient. They say they are 24/7 but they definitely are not. My breakdown department called to get my truck towed and we were told 60 to 90 minutes. Half an hour later they called us to tell us they couldn't tow me because they didn't have a driver. Very unprofessional.

We've used Alternative Heavy Towing twice to haul our 1965 MCI Challenger bus conversion. The first time we had broken down in west Texas on our way to Phoenix. We called dozens of tow companies and no one was willing to come pick us up...a couple literally laughed at us. After calling AHT, Mike gave us a reasonable quote and sent a driver out right away, who drove all night to get to us. Chris (the driver) was very knowledgeable and was able to get our 35 ft bus onto the trailer in no time...which is no easy feat. We were so happy with their service that we used them again 5 months later to haul our bus to Washington state. Again, Chris did a great job getting it there. We are so happy to have found AHT for our towing needs and would definitely recommend them to anyone.

We had to have an RV towed on a busy Friday night and they were super fast and very friendly. Kept our family members safe. The driver went above and beyond what was expected of him!! The office staff....they were kind and understanding of our stress when we called. Cannot thank them enough!!

It was horrible the kid came out told Me a price of 100 dollars the first time .Than when it came to dropping the car he changed it to 200 dollars these people are scammers ,disrespectful, chiseler, gouger, grifter, fraudsters, spammers, con-artists, swindler, defrauder, chiseller, phishers and conmen. A kid who persuades people to give him their money or property by lying to them.These people are not men they are kids that have not dropped and never will.I WOULD NOT USE THESE CON ARTIST NEVER AGAIN

My 38ft motorhome had an airbag issue which made it undrivable when I was about to leave McDowell Regional Park after a long Thanksgiving weekend. My insurance company secured another tow service that did not show up. My insurance company was able to secure Alternative Heavy Towing to bring a low boy and both their office and Matt (the driver of the low boy) kept me in the loop. Matt was all smiles and very helpful and delivered my motorhome safely to Freightliner for the repair. They turned a 3-day nightmare into a very pleasant ending. If you have a large motorhome and find yourself in need of help... I highly recommend them. They were on time, communicated with me and made me feel valued.

My son was in a car accident on 10/29/2021. DPS called Alternative Heavy Towing, to tow my car. They are the worst towing company ever. The "owner" Sherry is so rude and unprofessional. The driver they sent, was rude, unclean, smelly and he was an inconsiderate smoker, talking to me while blowing smoke in my face. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. If I could give them no stars I would!! The worst people ever!!!!

They were very nice and showed up very quickly. The price was very fair and less then I expected. My roadside coverage was going to take over 2 hours to show up and Alternative got there in about 30 minutes. They got my truck home in less time then I would've had to wait for my insurance company tow truck to even show up. Definitely recommend.

I had a tire blow out while on the side of I-17. Withing 20 minutes of calling Alternative Towing, they were pulling up to tow the car to their shop and put on a spare tire for me. Due to the time and me needing to get back to Flagstaff that evening, they were more than glad to assist by calling some local tire shops to see if they would accept me with only 30 mintues to spare before closing time. Within minutes they found a tire shop and towed me there instead. This tow company was extremely kind, helpful, and professional. I'd recommend them for anyone who needs a tow.

These people need new employees, all of them are plain rude if you know you are going to be working with customers you have to be courteous. You guys need some customer service classes but to be polite you have to start that from home I don’t think you can learn that from some classes.

They will damage your equipment. These guys will create all kind of problems to make a one hour tow job becoming a whole day work and charge you 5 or 6 hours of labor. Stay away!!!

Edit: It has been over a year since I left my review and I wanted to remind everyone that this company steals parts from cars they have towed to their location. Good day to you all. My car got towed here, was at this location for not even 24 hours and when I went to pick up my vehicle there was a part missing from my engine! How does a company that works/partners with the DPS steal parts from cars that police officers had towed away?? Again it wasn’t even a full 24 hours yet. Please, if your car gets towed here make sure to check EVERYTHING before you leave their location!! I was told that the managers would check the cameras but they expect me to believe they will inform me that one of their employees may have stole? Yeah, okay.

I do not even know where to begin. I’ve had the worst week in my trucking business but if it wasn’t for these guys I probably Would’ve had a whole mental breakdown. They came out and towed my truck at 5am. My compressor went out. They got my truck to the dealership. I was In the middle of a load and they were nice enough to help me get my load off. Their rates are outstanding and they were all very helpful. I am Truly grateful for these kind ppl.

They were so helpful with giving the right info to ensure I had everything needed. Given the situation, they rocked at customer service and didn't make things more difficult! I would definitely refer everyone to Alt. Towing for their needs! Thanks for being Amazing and helpful!

If you read any review you read this one. The tire came off my son's car in the middle of the driveway of my apartment complex. It's Sunday after Thanksgiving! I call numerous tow companies, no one could come. I even called Phoenix Police, no one could help. After taking my son to work, I stopped at a convenience store, a man told me to call Alternative Heavy Towing. The young lady who answered the phone was very polite and helpful! John who moved the car to parking spot was extremely polite and helpful!! I would highly recommend this company to everyone

I was stuck with my whole crew of six up at sunset point lookout with a 24 foot travel trailer and an f350 super duty that wouldn't start. I called no less than 10 local tow companies and nobody really even gave me the time of day until I called Alternitive. The girls at the desk were very personable and helpful and really went the extra mile to be accommodating and help figure the situation out. Our driver was punctual, quick, and very skilled- took us all the way to an rv park and BACKED THE TRAILER INTO A SPACE STILL ATTACHED TO THE TRUCK WITH THE TOW TRUCK, BLIND. Then towed the truck to a service shop that was closed, then to their yard where they stored it overnight and then delivered it to the shop in the morning. Amazing people, top quality equipment and service, if you are in or near phoenix and you need a tow I highly recommend giving these guys a call.

Not sure if this is a dumb AZ law or their bad policy but only the registered owner can go see the vehicle. It's totaled, I'm only here to pick up my property from my vehicle with my mother the registered owner. Take your business else where would be my recommendation. Get these companies to realize they aren't the law themselves on your vehicle.

Lost a driveshaft off my 31-foot RV on I-17 and was in a bad position on the side of the Interstate. Their tow rig was impressive, as it picked up my RV (with the attached cargo trailer) like it was nothing. The driver was courteous and skilled. My rig was delivered to the shop without a scratch. I hired them again, two days later, to tow my RV to a specialized shop.

This is just for regular people who drive on the I-17 in my case. I have a 4 cylinder 4 door Cavalier and one of the extra-long trucks was going down the freeway it would not let me on I finally had to go in front of him because I was running out of on-ramp. He sped up so I actually had to squeeze onto the freeway he rode on my tail end of my car so that I could see the grill work and his headlights repeatedly coming up and backing off coming up and backing off. It was very scary I have a handicap plate and I drive regularly I'm a very good driver never had an accident this guy was scary. It was approximately 11:15 to 11:30 getting on Peoria and I've drove in the right lane down to Glendale because I was getting back off a few exits later. He consistently Road my tail period when I got off I was lucky to catch the name of the company much less the truck number which blew by me and he immediately started tailgating exceptionally close to the little white car that was in front of me. He had a very long truck big enough to carry a long extended bus. When I made a phone call the woman that she said she cannot help without a trailer number. I told her that was wonderful I couldn't get that he was blowing by me. So whoever that truck driver is if I had put on my brakes he would have become one with my vehicle. It's just an FYI when you see somebody on the road doing this you need to call. I don't keep my cell phone on when I'm driving if I had somebody else in the car I would have called the highway patrol. He had less than a car lengths between his front end of his truck and me. It was very scary. So when you go to use these people keep in mind there may be a lawsuit pending because of the way their drivers are acting they do not act courteous to other drivers.
