This rating is based on customer reviews, inventory size, pricing, and service quality
S&S Towing & Recovery in Orlando, FL scores 82/100. Overall sentiment skews positive: many highlight friendly, trustworthy staff, value pricing on used batteries, rims, and tires (big selection, even AGM), quick installs, and finding needed parts—often ready when calling ahead. Inventory breadth stands out, though availability varies and the yard has a typical salvage setup. Common complaints: occasional high prices on specific items, unexpected closures, and phone missteps. Wait times are usually short; service is prompt but reviews aren’t perfectly consistent.

Got a used battery from him for $50. Look like new and had a 90-day warranty. I called about it and it was there waiting for me when I got there. HUGE selection of rims and tires too!
Have bought 3 batteries from here and they last like 5 years. For $60 and a core charge is nothing. A new Audi battery at dealer is $275. So for $60 i'm super happy.
He had the rims ready and waitingfor me after I called several days before. Gave me the quoted price and his worker quickly installed it. Very courteous and prompt. Would not hesitate to go there again
Best place to get great deals on used or new tires. Always prompt service and quality tires and rims. You name make and model they have it. Well installed, properly balanced.
Upfront pricing and honestly couldn’t beat the price compared to other places. helps pick out the best used tires for your car.
Simple and efficient with their work
No hassle
Last time I came here and got 4 excellent used tires with roughly 90% threading. Lasted me over 50k miles before I needed my new set.
If they don’t have the tires you need to your liking the also sell new tires at a great price. Highly recommend
I was from out of town, and had stopped at Costco thinking I had a bad tire. Turns out my rim was cracked. I called a few dealers in the area and they couldn't even get the right rim and cost was too high. I found a rim repair place and they referred me here. I called ahead and the guy answering the phone was up front with his prices. Compared with the cost of a new rim, this was a better deal and didn't have time to wait a day in a half for a new rim. For what I paid, they also swapped out my old rim and put it on my car. Everyone working there was nice and took care of my concerns. After read mixed reviews I decided to see for myself. I had no problems at all. I returned to Costco to have the nitrogen replaced back in my tire. They all asked me how I was able to obtain a rim so fast. I referred them to S&S towing. For what I paid, you can't go wrong. After all it is a salvage yard, and anything better then paying $600. for a new rim. My rde home went without a hitch.
It is a shame to see this place with only 3.5 stars when it should have a 6 star. Just as an estimate, I personally have saved over $5,000 over the course of 7 years using them. Honesty, Quality used tires and upfront sincerity.
