They reached me out to offer $600 for my car and then when the driver came to my house the office called me again to drop the price almost for full price. I told him to get out of my property I am not doing any deal with shady businesses.

Absolute horrible company to deal with. Called me while I was at work, so naturally I sent the caller to voicemail. They called back immediately and a very rude girl tried to get me to schedule a pick up of my vehicle. I stated that I was out of state and would call Monday when I was home. The girl then proceeded to tell me we could schedule for Monday. I again repeated that I would call them. They then called me the next day at 7:52am (did not answer as I was asleep), then proceeded to show up at my residence at 9:30am and try to take my car. They parked in the back of my house with a tow truck & proceeded to take photos of my car. My husband indicated that I was not home & he did not feel comfortable releasing the car. When I called this company to explain what happened, the same dumb rude girl answered the phone & proceeded to call me a liar because I “didn’t have a drivers name”. I have him on camera, saying the name of his employer, showing my husband a text he received telling him to come to my home. Apparently they don’t begin work until 8am… so please explain the call at 7:52am?? The girl then proceeded to tell me that there was no one else I could speak with when I indicated that she was being very rude & I would like a supervisor. Then she hung up in my face! I called back and spoke to a nicer lady who apologized and explained the situation. I WOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM cause obviously they don’t know how to hire employees who know what the hell they are doing.

This review is based on my experience with orlando auto recyclers who is affiliated with cash for cars. I was quoted $435 for my 2006 Saturn. I called back to cancel after receiving a better offer and was asked what the offer was. When I responded $525 they offered to match so I kept the appointment to meet the tow truck between 1:00-3:00. This was around 11:30. I called back shortly after to confirm they would call first because I’m approximately 40 minutes away from where the car is, at which time I was told it had just been dispatched and is on the way already. I went straight to my car and drove directly there; at which time I called to let them know I was there. On this call I was told there was no truck sent but they will send one now. After an hour of waiting a truck arrived. The driver took and sent photos of the car and said they would contact me to confirm the value. After a bit of waiting he asked me to call them. When I reached someone they said they would pay $345 because a) the title is electronic. b) the catalytic converter is aftermarket c) the wheels aren’t aluminum I asked for a manager who then agreed to the original $435. I then reached another manager who said they would have to call me back. By now, another 30 minutes had passed and the driver certainly wouldn’t wait all day while I resolved this, in addition I didn’t have several more hours to deal with it so I called back and accepted the $435 but told them I still wanted the call back and still expected a resolution. As I left I called orlando auto recyclers to express my disappointment and reached the owner Edwin. I explained I was asked very specific questions about the condition of the Saturn and asked specific questions myself. Do you have the title? No, it’s electronic which is the default for Florida. To which I was told that’s fine because they will just verify it online. Does it run? No Do you have the keys? Yes Does it have an engine in it? Yes Does it have a catalytic converter? Yes Does it have a battery? I replied someone had just tried to charge it and I don’t know if it’s back in or not. Then I asked how much a missing battery would affect the value and I was told $25. I then confirmed that it’s $525 unless the battery is missing in which case the value is $500 and I was told that was correct. I let him know I was told the electronic title was no problem, I am the second owner and had no idea if the catalytic converter was aftermarket and not only was I not asked but I also wasn’t told when I clarified the amount of money I would receive. In addition, nobody asked me if the wheels were aluminum or steel. They had the year, make and model and never asked me that over the phone so I let him know it feels like “bait and switch”. Edwin replied that the agreed price is just an estimate and it depends on the condition and most people don’t know enough about their car so they don’t ask so they value other items when they get there! I told him I should have been given a range of value to which he replied “Nobody would say yes” I let him know “That Is The Definition of Bait and Switch!” and he said that is the way he does business. To paraphrase: that is the same as saying people are dumb and we just agree to a price then actually determine the value after we get out there.
