Exchange Place is one of the best spots in New Jersey to enjoy a breathtaking view of the New York City skyline, especially at sunset. The sight of the sun setting behind the skyscrapers, reflected on the Hudson River, is absolutely stunning and picture-perfect. ?✨
It’s also a very family and kids friendly area with open spaces to walk, relax, or simply enjoy the view. The waterfront is clean, well-maintained, and feels safe, making it a peaceful escape just across the river from Manhattan.
A must visit spot for anyone who loves scenic views, photography, or just wants to unwind while watching the city lights come to life.
Couple of times had to ask the staff of guidance - and they quickly worked out we were not American and offered some great tips. This is the nice friendly America that I am used too - unfortunately not experienced on this trip to NYC/ NJ.

I recently visited the Exchange Place area, and honestly, it’s one of the best spots to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet. The view of the ocean meeting the sky, with the tall buildings in the background, is just beautiful — especially with the nice weather. Big thanks to everyone who works hard to keep this place clean and welcoming.
My dad and I have been to this station years ago and took the path train to and from here to world trade center transportation hub this was to go to the Hyatt regency jersey hotel to give someone there. The station is wonderful, and it has long escalators. Both of us used MetroCard to pay the fare.
Loved the place , neat and clean. If you want the NY skyline view along with spending time with family then this is the place. Lots of chairs and tables to sit and enjoy the view.
This is the spot to go to for the best views of the NYC skyline. Just exit the station and walk a minute to Grundy Park! It's also so easy to get to - it's just one stop from the World Trade Center on the PATH.
A great station to take you into new york. The landscaping has been upgraded in the past few years and looks amazing. Plenty of police presence to make one feel safe.
We went to the station just for views and it didn’t disappoint. Loved it. There is a big park for kids to play and enough seating area to relax. I wonder this place would be packed with people having family picnics as it gives vibes of one of the amazing picnic spot with views.
They now have pay with phone option! ? You can still use metrocard or smartlink card. Now we have more technology and pay options in entry point like they have in other locations or Nyc where you can swipe your phone (OMNY) technology or be able to pay with digital wallets from phone. It is a clean and well maintained location, compared to Nyc subways. This is a safe location for daily commute (don’t know how it’ll be at night-because I only use it during the day) Maybe nice to have some uniformed security like in other subway locations, now that JC is becoming a hub. And this is a historic district. Walk around the station take photos of beautiful art and Nyc skyline. Shops around like Starbucks and food as well. Can be a beautiful spot to unwind after or before work. Envy the people who work at 10 Exchange place and having access to this during their lunch break.

Be aware that ticket machines sometimes do not accept cards - if visiting, keep cash on hand
While escalators & exit area looks nice, the platforms looked like during construction with open ceilings.
The park outside of the Exchange Place PATH was beautiful. We took the path to the World Trade Center. This station is absolutely beautiful and well labeled. If you are taking the train for the 1st time, I would recommend getting a metro card and be sure to read the train to assure you ate getting on the right train. This station was pretty busy, and the train ride to the WTC was quite packed. It wasn't a bad trip thou.
Beautiful views from outside the Exchange Place PATH train station. They are currently doing some remodeling at this time so it is a bit messy. I’ll update the review periodically. Great views from Jersey City of Manhattan and the WTC.
The perfect location to get glimpse of NYC skyline just right outside the station. Grab a coffee and walk around the waterfront boardwalk to get beautiful sunsets views.
Because of the weekly train construction, you get free tickets for the ferry and it is super fun to ride. The scenery and the view make it worth it, though the trip takes a bit longer, it is still worth it!
After you get off the path at exchange place, they give you tickets only on weekends, get on the boat and enjoy the ride! It is a clean area and looks very fancy, luckily, as soon as you get off to NYC your in the shopping area of NYC, extremely expensive, but some window shopping is enough.
The boat ride is fun and smooth, I would recommend people coming out to ride it for fun, before the path is finished! Take the opportunity!
A great place to go if your staying in NYC and want to get some great photos of New York, just a quick trip across from WTC station, or grab a ferry if the weather is good
Beautiful place of the shore of Hudson river. This place situated on the side of jersey city gives gorgeous views of the world famous and gigantic Manhattan skyline. It is open to public for free 24/7 and packs great city feels. The New York Metropolitan area consists os such perks where each part has its own culture and together they are multiculture.
