Ever since they got this new manager, things have been off, and he is a jerk when you go talk to him . I came here for 24 hours access then all of a sudden they locked me out and when i asked why they said ill have to pay extra to go in 24hrs , but for three years iv been going in 24 hours a day this is rediculas im always on time paying never late and this is how they treat good customers , and they raise your rates on storage whenever they want and you wont know untill you pay the bill
Although I did provide all requirements (as an international customer), the manager wouldn’t let me get a trailer. I seriously don’t know how he got his position and how he can care less about customer satisfaction. Some other employees were nice, but that this doesn’t make up for the incompetence of the manager. He made me miss an appointment which did cost me $400 in the end. Worst rental experience ever!
I'm a regular Uhaul customer and this was the worst ever experience I had with the company. Branch manager was unqualified and not respecting his customers. I came with my son to collect a trailer and he refused to complete the process. The branch manager was very angry and he said in front of his staff that he is very stressful and he doesn't want to waste his time anymore to support his customers. I had to wait in the branch more than 3 hours to collect the trailer. When I came back to the branch, one of the staff members was very supportive, and she completed the process within less than 5 minutes when the branch manager was not in the store. I strongly dont recommend anyone to visit this store since unqualified people are running the branch and such managers should be trained to be qualified and to learn how to respect and service their customers .
The service I got from the branch manager doesn't even deserve 1 star that I gave on this rating and I wish that I can rate ZERO stars.
I will never come back to this store !!!!
The prices were reasonable for the service. A small truck ran me about $65 bucks including taxes and insurance the good thing is you don't have to full the tank up only what you use I did run over my max time 3 hours and ended up paying another $127 which was reasonable for mileage and going over the expected return the system is awesome where you can check in and out by phone and there's a drop box they also had huge boxes for less than $5 dollars for packing and moving the customer was good and the store operation system was on point the only thing is when you return the truck be expecting a return pile up and possibly no where to park my first time renting a UHAUL I was impressed and very satisfied
Rebecca was sales person!!!Worst costumer service I have got in the long time, hitch installation took since 10am to 5pm and still most screws not tight and falling off!!!
This is a decent U-Haul. There are charges that are "standard" in nature that bug me, like facility fee and drop off fee (not their fault) but all-in-all pleased with the service. I especially appreciated that we could check out through my phone, take pics for verification and drop the keys off in the drop box AFTER house without being charged. That was great.
I called 2 different numbers today and spoke to 2 different reps who stated that the hitch for my car was in Jersey City and would take half an hour to install. When i arrived at 230 the girl on the desk was very nice and informed the technician in the garage that i was there he was visibly upset and stormed in the customer area to make a call, never acknowedging me started arguing with whoever was on the other end of the phone that there was no way he could do this job and it would take over 2 hours. I stood there for about 5 minutes listening to him complain about me and I told him if its too much trouble not to bother. It’s a 45 minute trip one way to Jersey City for me. I guess t He customer isn’t always right. I will never be back.
Have had a hitch installed here and have done several rentals.
The hitch appointment was at 9AM but the work was not completed until noon as the tech/mechanic had trouble with a car ahead of me. New model car and new hitch configuration. Work was well done and the hitch works as intended.
If renting here make sure you have your credit card and driver's license ready to go. Service is fast and the girl on the desk will help any way she can. Problems crop up when customers have unrealistic expectations or their car can not tow the load. They will check to make sure your tow vehicle is matched to the trailer rental and vice versa.
Busy times are Friday and Saturday. Be prepared to wait if you do not have a online reservation
Scored them 4 out of 5 because I get the feeling they would rather not deal with pesky customers sometimes.
Overall a good place to rent from.
False advertising...they make it seem like your paying only $35 total for a 19.99 rental and it winds up coming out to $80. I had the van for under an hour an only put 5 miles on it. Rip off.
They eventually took care of my needs, but I ended up spending a lot of extra time here. Went to pick up a trailer on a Thursday, but didn't have the electric hookup for the lights. The mechanic wasn't there, so they had to do it the next day.
Got there at 3:30 hoping he could start on my car early, but he got started at the scheduled time of 5pm. Then it took him 3 hours to do a 1 hour job of connecting the trailer light connection to my Chevy Volt. So I left for a 7 hour drive at 8pm.
The people at the desk were mostly friendly, but the guy helping me decided that flirting with his colleague was a better use of his time than helping me finish my transaction in a timely manner.
I saw a lot of people going through here, so they do a lot of business. If you have a normal transaction it will probably be fine.
