I never leave reviews, but I needed to after my experience with A&L. I would give six stars if I could. After waiting all day for my insurance to send someone, they were unable to start or tow my car out of the garage. Joe showed up and was able to do everything in less than an hour - wish I called him sooner. The group that helped me were so nice, caring and professional. Highly recommend!!
Joe was really awesome and helped me out with my Escalade. He was kind, knowledgeable and super easy to work with. We will be recommending to others for sure! Thank you, Joe.
My car was damaged in a hit and run. The JC police had it towed to A and L while I was in the hospital. When I called A and L to find out what was going on. The man whom answered the phone was very professional and understanding. He first asked how I was doing , then explained to me what was going on. After the update he told me I could come pick my car up and just to bring my driving license. I was in complete shock! I was prepared to exploded because I had no money to pay for the towing, and then for A and L to give me that incredible news bought tears to my eyes .

It's frustrating to see someone who has clearly neglected their vehicle blame the tow company after getting it impounded by the police. It's even more disheartening when they turn to their parents for help instead of taking responsibility for their actions. In my experience, this tow company is one of the best in the state, not just the city. They have gone above and beyond to assist me on numerous occasions, and I believe they deserve appreciation for their excellent service.
My car was completely dead. I gave Joe a call. He was incredibly helpful and professional. Made a stressful situation as easy and good as it could have been.
The other night my car got stuck on Liberty n Manhattan and so happened an and l towing truck was parked right across from me and Joe spino answer the phone at 2am .. this gentleman was a blessing from the god he is such a genuine and caring person I didn’t have much money on me he came out at 2am with the kindness of his heart to help me move my car to a secure parking spot .. he literally saved me that night because I was screwed he is a great person I recommend him all the way .. thanks so much John .. god bless you he also helped me towed the car the next day to my house .. this guy is a blessing from god .. there are not many genuine ppl out there but how spino is one of a kind and I recommend mend him all the way to anyone.. thanks how happy holidays
I waited to review and I’m glad I did as at first my experience with this place was horrible. My car had gotten towed here unexpectedly and on a Sunday from parking issues. I called more than once (really only twice myself) trying to get it out as i’m sure almost everyone can attest, when you don’t have your car, you freak out a bit. When calling the person answering, who I believe may be the owner, was unbelievably rude. In the past as a young female I’ve had issues being taken advantage of/not treated the same when it comes to autobody/mechanics unfortunately. I can understand wanting to enjoy your day off but if you sign yourself up to be the person the phone calls that come in default to, be a little nicer. Especially if the towing part of your business is still out there working/towing cars, you knew all the information on my car as if you were right in the office for the beginning of the call so the assumption would be it’s open. People in my situation who have never heard of your business and look it up would NEVER know that it isn’t especially with hours online saying open 24 hours. It’s already an inconvenience that this all happened on the day you’re not open but I had asked if there was a late night as hours 9-4 do not work for ANYONE working the typical 9-5 like I do and I got the snarkiest “No.” you can imagine, as if this has never been heard of before. Have an answering machine/message system that states all time information including NO late nights if having to pick up the phone is such an issue. My amazing father had called for me as well and also had attitude issues so I guess at least it wasn’t just me. My father also took time out of his day for me to help get my car out as like I said it was pretty much impossible for me with my work schedule. Luckily, he said the person opening the business was fine but it also didn’t sound like the person from the call. Overall, don’t expect nice/good customer service on a Sunday, you won’t see your car until Monday, if you can make it. Also would like to share the one good thing, they do not charge the holding fees for the Sundays.
Excellent service.....had my car parked in my garage and some inconsiderate person blocked me in..police ticketed the vehicle and he came within minutes and removed it....the van is luck this didn't happen in the 1980's....he would be missing the van and all four tires..
this company towed my van when I got permission to park in front on a driveway while I was doing work on a property . after I explained to the truck driver I had permission from the owner and I'm allowed to park there he yelled profanity at me. after I called the number he answers and told me if I wanted the truck back I would have to meet him on the corner and give him $260. how is this not illegal!! this company stole my van and told me I had to pay cash to get it back . never call or use them for anything !
This says 24hrs but I’m not able to get my car out until Monday still. And I’m still gonna be charged 30$ a day for their mishap. Change the website and be more specific. If it’s open 24/7 for towing only say that. Now I’m carless until Monday
AVOID! My car along with several others got flooded and I was waiting for Geico towing. Police called towing and when they came in I asked the guy "are you from Geico" he said yes! When I was already in the cabin and my car on the way of being towed he said he wasn't from Geico and then he wouldn't release my car unless I paid $200! On top of this he ddn't want to tow me to my designated destination, he dropped me off at Shell gas station and took off with my wallet in the car! All i had was my phone luckily charged. I called cops and they brought him back with my backpack. Ridiculous crooks!! I had to pay the $200 and then Geico towed me back home. I would give them zero stars if i could.
Went to a few places to get an estimate and this place was a few hundred dollars cheaper than the next body shop. They not only finished it faster than other places promised me (3 days) but the job was done incredibly well. My entire front was banged up after a few fender benders and they made my WRX look like new...I could not recommend the team here enough!
Family owned and operated auto body shop. Fair and reasonable prices. Alberto was friendly knowledgeable. Had some door damage and they made it look like new.
These ppl we're very helpful to me when I had my first accident very knowledgeable friendly and affordable I appreciate them so much and would refer anyone to them
I never write a review on google but I feel like I needed to because of how amazing of a job they did on my car. Hands down the best auto body shop in NJ, come see Alberto he is very knowledgeable with cars and got my car back on time. Communication was great with daily updates, I wouldn’t hesitate doing business with them again!
I have been taking my car to Continental Cars for years. Was surprised to find out it is under new ownership / name now. Alberto was just as friendly, honest, and accommodating as the previous owners. He really took care of an issue I had with my car, and fixed it quickly. The issue took didn't take him long, so he refused to charge me for it! What a class act. Nobody does that sort of thing anymore. He has earned my business for life - will continue to bring my cars here despite the fact that I live 40 minutes away. Alberto - thank you so much for today. Really appreciate it!!

They did an amazing job on my car when it was hit, it looked better than ever. Then when the paint peeled some a year later they fixed it at no cost. It's very rare to have a company stand by their work. I would recommend A&L to everyone, great job guys!! Thank you so much!
Very nice and helpful. Our car had started making a spooky rattling noise and we were about to set out on a 4 hour drive. We drove by here and figured we would get an expert opinion in case there was a safety issue. The person here made time for us without any prior appt, tested our car himself by driving it around, and checked out everything. Funnily, our car stopped the noise while he was driving, so he couldn't figure it out, but he gave us a clean bill of health without charging any money. So nice! Our drive was also event-free, corroborating his opinion.
Communication was pretty good and friendly for the most part, a bit pricy, but lookwise my car was restored fully. Windshield was told to be a little off and the car has begun to squeak, but it was major damage so maybe that's something I have to deal with.
This place is the best body shop I have ever patronized. Their care for the outcome for the customer is their priority. They aren't towing the insurance company line. I brought my car in for rear collision damage. The owner drove me home so I wouldn't have to get a cab. When I got the vehicle back, it looked great. They had even covered up some scratches which were starting to rust (and had nothing to do with the accident) pro bono.
Alberto and his team did an amazing job bringing my car back to life after being totaled. Very friendly people and very knowledgeable about what they are doing. I would definitely go back. Thank you
