The guys at God First are honest, transparent, clear communicators and all around exceedingly helpful. I brought my car in for an oil change, the replacement of two tires with new ones purchased elsewhere, the repair of an exhaust leak, and air filter replacement.
The car was ready in a matter of a few hours, rendered slightly longer by me missing their two calls. Attentive on their part, not so much on my own!
Before I left I was even brought to the garage and shown pictures of the work that was done, and shown the pieces that were replaced.

I highly recommend God First Auto! I came in for an oil change and a suspension diagnostic. My previous shop gave me an estimate of almost $6,800, claiming that everything needed to be replaced, including the axle assembly for $1,700.
At God First Auto, they inspected my car honestly and thoroughly. They told me the axle assembly was perfectly fine. The only thing I could replace were the front control arms, but even that wasn’t critical.
I truly appreciate their honesty and professionalism. They don’t try to overcharge or push unnecessary repairs. From now on, this is the only shop I’ll be going to!

Very easy to work with, they got my part ordered quickly (and did all the due diligence in coordinating with dealer), and completed labor/installation quickly. Stopped in randomly on 12/11 for a quote, and work is done exactly 1 week later! Texted with them throughout the week, which made staying in touch really easy/convenient.

The service was excellent. My taillight was somehow falling off. Took it to the shop, and instead of asking me to replace the entire light, they found a way to fix the broken component which saved me hundreds of dollars. The staff also had a great attitude.

Brought my car in because someone reversed into my rear bumper which caused the part of the frame to cave in. Brought the car in for an estimate when they we’re basically closed and they were still nice enough to get it done. Took three days for it to get fixed. Even was able to match the paint down. Manuel was the one handling the price and notifications. 1400 got it done
God First Auto Repair in Jersey City truly exceeded my expectations. I brought my vehicle in to have the alternator and drive trans belt replaced. Originally, the repair was estimated to take about two hours, but due to the potential risk of a part breaking during the alternator removal process, the repair ended up taking closer to six hours. Even with this added time, they showed true character and care for their customer by offering me a 15% discount to make amends for the inconvenience. Honestly, no dealership or other mechanic I’ve dealt with would have done something like that.
What impressed me most was their honesty and reasonable pricing. Before coming here, I had visited the dealership where I was quoted much higher for the exact same work. God First Auto not only saved me money, but also gave me confidence knowing I was dealing with a shop that values fairness and integrity over profit.
I am deeply appreciative of their service and their willingness to go the extra mile for their customers. I pray they continue to grow and succeed, always allowing God to lead their business. We need more honest mechanics like them in this world! 🙏🚗
