Had a Great day playing here for the first time this Friday. Not only was it such a well designed and beautiful course, but my experience with the generous faculty was also fantastic. I had a pleasant time meeting one of the course managers, Mr. Burke. Awesome golf course, highly recommend.

I played this course as I was in vacation in NYC. Little disapointed there is no driving range, but the course condition was really great, from the fairway to the green, al a great experience and the view on new bridge is quiet something. Also mentionning that the price is very competitive !

Good Experience and Fantastic Views. Play was very very slow. 4 some ahead should have been talked with. Looked like maybe 2 holes empty in front of them. Practice area was shut down due to a clinic. Finished just after 6 and snack bar/grill was closed. Checkin was easy and Food was descent. Course even with all its play was in really good shape and again the views were amazing! Fun time!

Beautiful and challenging with some great views. This is a gem in the middle of an industrial neighborhood. I’d give it 5 stars if people fixed their ball marks.

Price point is a little bit high for the casual golfer and the course is quite difficult. Very pretty course with some unique features and the staff is very helpful and polite.

The staff even used a Korean interpreter to kindly guide me. And I was flustered because I didn't have my credit card, but they kindly found a solution, so I had a really enjoyable time.

Kind, respectful staff. Impressive course conditions. Surprisingly challenging loop, especially when windy, as it is often, or when the fescue is grown, as it is late in the season. For those looking for a quick 9 holes, avoid weekends and weekday happy hour time.

It’s sad for me to write this review because I have played at Skyway several times and I have had nothing but great things to say about this place. The conditions are always great regardless of the season and the staff has always been so kind and welcoming. It’s crazy how one person can truly ruin your experience. But reading past reviews it seems to be an experience many people have had in the past few years. My friends had invited me to play golf with them, they are from over seas and it was their first time playing golf in NY, so I booked us a tee time at skyway. Everything went smoothly, we checked in, proshop staff, starter, everyone was so kind! The starter informed us the pace of play is 2hrs 15mins and we understood that. With myself being 7 months pregnant, my friends and I decided to play a scramble from the front teebox. Well, starting at hole 2, that’s when the ranger yelled at us to play faster. And then it went downhill from there. He harassed us the entire round, then on home 8, stopped us and told us if we want to come back we need to be better, play better, be faster. We held up NO ONE. We finished in two hours. I was appalled. I went to the proshop afterwards to complain. I explained the situation to the manager and even when I told them I don’t expect anything they gave us a rain check. But, honestly this ranger has to be fired. He targeted us from the very beginning. This was suppose to be a fun day on the course, possibly my last one since I am in my last trimester, and this foul old man completely ruined our experience. Telling a pregnant woman to move faster and be better. Ridiculous and terrible.

This might just be the best 9 hole in the New York metro area. It's a truly solid course. The staff are great. The course is really well maintained and challenging. Great views on every fairway. A well stocked pro shop. In a word, fantastic.

It’s a challenging 9 hole course since it’s very narrow/tight but the course condition is excellent and staff is very welcoming/friendly!

The only true negative about this course is how tight it is. Small meaning balls are all over the place - keep your head on a swivel. A driving range would be nice, too. Not necessarily the course's fault - there's not much room for anything in JC. The course is great - truly have to think about tee shots and greens are pure, but it's not a course that's going to eat you up. For walkers like me, there aren't a lot of hills, and the fairways are soft so I'm not too beat up (I normally play it twice for my full 18). Considering it's nine holes, you could get stuck with/behind some slower players, but we've all been there before. Course is nice enough to get over it - enjoy the walk/skyline view on 3 and 6. The views of the bridge on 2 and 9 are cool, too. All in all, probably the best value I know of in NJ (I own a county card, and I walk much more than I ride, so the price, for me, is just fine). Highly recommend.

Wow is this course amazing. I played it on 5/20 at 5:30pm so I got to see the sunset behind the bridge. A must play!

The folks at Skyway were the absolute nicest people we could have had. We came up from VA and brought our 9 and 11 year old beginning golfers and everybody welcomed them to play. And even when one of them lost a club there a great guy drove me around to try to find it. They later found it and had it waiting for us to pick it up. Great job everyone, our best golf outing to date. Oh and the course was really fun to play too! Thank you, we'll be back.

As someone that’s fairly new to the game of golf I’m always looking for a decent 9 hole round somewhere where that I can feel free to practice and enjoy the game. Skyway was all that and more. The shop attendant was super nice and welcoming to me after mentioning it was my first time. He even asked for me to leave feedback when I was done. The shop was loaded with anything you needed. The price, $42 as a non resident on a Thursday before noon time, steep yeah but well worth it once I saw how beautiful the course was. Greens and fairways nicely maintained. Really nicely made hills making me forget I was in Jersey City. More Urban communities may want to consider this in areas of dead space. Afterwards a simple food cafe inside serving meals hot off the grill, with alcohol and beer available. My favorite thing about this short course…. I was worried I wouldn’t get a chance to take some swings before playing but Skyway has a nice caged swinging range. Basically just impact mats in a cage. Swing away to dust off the webs so you’re not cold by tee time.

Lovely golf course, Went with 3 others and had a great time for not much. Great views of Manhattan and the local area with good greens and fairway. Can’t wait to go again!!!

Perfect 9-hole course close to the city. Has some beautiful holes, putting green, stocked pro shop and bar. Important to note there is no driving range and the carts are standard (no gps). Really enjoy playing here and highly recommend if you’re in/near the city.

Beautiful course. Staff was very professional, and the course was even better in person. Pictures don't do it justice. Next time I'm in NY definitely coming back

Fun course but sometimes the wait between holes is a killer. There are a lot of beginner golfers who play and don't understand how to replace divots or repair ball marks on the greens which can get frustrating. The staff is friendly and the course is well maintained otherwise. I would recommend.

Beautiful place for golfing and meeting big people ? This is open to all as spectators but there is a reasonable fees and specific attire if you want to play.

Golf course was overall pretty good. Conditions were good. The only downside is the wait on every hole and that it is only a 9-hole course. It's a links style course that's also close to the city. One fo the better 9-hole courses around the area

A challenging 9-hole public course with water-breezes from the Havensack River and views of the bridge and Manhattan. Course is super tight, but they make a small space lovely with great landscaping. Golf carts, a pro shop, and a bar/cafe.

Awesome 9-hole golf course! I was visiting friends in Hoboken and wanted to get out for an early round while they were at work. This was a short drive, even with all the construction going on. I ended up playing with two retired Hoboken Firemen and learned that this course was built on an old landfill and did a lot for all of the area first responders. The course was in phenomenal shape! The greens rolled very fast and very true. The staff was one of the friendliest that I've had the pleasure of dealing with. Check in was quick and the girl behind the counter was knowledgeable. The starter was very friendly, introduced me to my playing partners, and gave me a good idea on the layout of the course. The cart guy was, by far, my favorite. He heard that I run a golf course in upstate NY so we had a good conversation about the course and the people he normally sees on a day-to-day basis. He seems to really care about all of them and let me know which days he works so I can talk to him next time I go back. I will definitely be returning!

Great course, really fun to play. Very well maintained and the links style provides a decent challenge (Often windy with blind shots and a lot of fescue)! Great views of the city and a location you can't beat for someone living on the NYC outskirts. Bummer its only a 9 hole cause I would love to play a full round here, but understandable with the land limitations in Jersey City. Already a regular.
