Went for an air conditioner. The staff doesn't allow you to look at them, even though they're going out of business. I opened a box for a second and the cashier SCREAMS like I stole it & demands payment! I'm glad they're going out of business That leaves one sister store-KMart in Montauk L.I still in business. As for the manager who screamed like that, I hope she never finds work again. Total witch with a "B".

I visited this store on January 26, 2024. I was informed unfortunately the store's last day is likely to be March 3, 2024. There are liquidation sale signs posted. Many prices seemed to be at least 30% off. Lots of appliances, mattresses, tools, women's clothing, jewelry, and watches, plus more. Friendly staff and well lit up. Everything is easy to find. They also have fixtures for sale. They are also still accepting shop your way points. This store will be missed, it was the only sears in NJ.

Terrible store should of closed down decades ago. This store have no business being open, during the closing days, this store is still empty with like only 4 other people walking around and nobody buying anything. Hurry the hell up and shut down already!

I CANNOT BELIEVE I FOUND A SEARS STORE STILL OPEN AND ALIVE! everything about this screamed Nostalgia. I cannot believe it’s open. This store brings back so many memories when i used to go to the Brooklyn Location near Flatbush now to see another one still open makes me wanna cry . This is the last remaining SEARS store in all of New Jersey located in the Newport Centre Mall In Jersey City, just a 5 minute ride from the WTC PATH station. Although the stores empty and the 2nd floor is closed for remodeling, THE STORE STILL BEING ALIVE MADE ME SO HAPPY MANAGER WAS ALSO VERY FRIENDLY AND DIDNT MIND ME WALKING AROUND TAKING PHOTOS this is the last remaining store in NJ! I recommend you all come here before a part of our childhood is gone forever!

A well stocked and clean store! Has everything from homewares to tools to appliances to clothes. Large selection of everything you need in all departments! Located inside the Newport Centre Mall. Employees are nice and very friendly! Prices are good with numerous sales going on throughout the store! Highly recommend shopping here! Great store!

This place has really gone to the pits, not only with its inventory but also with its customer service. Went in to get a new refrigerator and the man who was working there didn't seem to want to be there. He barely spoke to me about the details on delivering the appliance over to my home and would take long periods of time to check if more of the appliance I was interested in was in stock. I ended up leaving without purchasing anything and the guy did not even care to follow up with me if I wanted the appliance or not. Honestly I'm surprised this Sears store that used to be great has gotten this deserted and with such awful customer service! It's quite a wonder why this place has remained open.

This is my 1st shopping at sears. For my surprise and shockingly there were huge discounts for very good quality clothing. This store is 2 floors spread. Lower level.has men's clothing, electronic section. Upper has women and kids' clothing. I had an amazing time shopping here. One negative experience is that they swiped twice on my CC, and I noticed it the next day and tried calling them on the number on the receipt but couldn't reach them. I have to visit the store on a weekend to get this sorted.

Please do not buy from Sears online 4/24/23 ordered a gas range, paid in full Estimated delivery was two weeks after order date After about 9 cancellations and reschedules and 100 phone calls and complaints, Gas range was delivered on 6/27/23 Delivery service put the range at my home entrance, refused to install or hall away the old range ( as agreed and confirmed with Sears online at the time of order). Deliver staff said we will call our company and took their truck and left, I was waiting for them to come back and to my surprise I saw them driving away ( typically call it ran away). I do not know why is Sears online service is that bad and why are they still allowed to deceive customers as they do not own merchandize but they act as a broker ( not an honest one). If anyone can help with this situation, please let me know

Was there yesterday looking for shoes for my son. I open one of the boxes and found those sneakers lol. I was there for a good amount of time and nobody came to see what I was doing. So whoever did this have plenty of time to choose the shoes he wanted ??

So, I saw an air conditioner on their website and noticed they had 2 available in the store. I tried To call the store no one answers. I hit A different department each time. It was approximately 2 or 3pm when I called So, I decided To use the chat option. This person tells me they had 2 in the store and I had To order it online and can not walk into the store where it is and buy it. I can Order it online and have it ready within 2 hours. I tried Ordering it at 4 am. Order is complete and I have A confirmation number. I kept Checking my bank to see when it goes through and nothing. I check My emails is the “we are processing your order” email and see a “we are unable to process your order call this number” I call It and they’re asking me security questions. Right away I think This is cool. They tell me to order it again. I get The same thing all over again. It is now 2pm and my 3rd phone call and 2nd chat with the security questions etc. Then I’m told I have To wait 48 hours lol in the middle of a heatwave with a toddler and a special needs individual in my home. Long story short. 10 hours trying to process my order. I have No air conditioner. I should Not have to go through all of this to beg a company to take my $600. I took my business elsewhere.

This is the best Sears up north! This store is huge with tons of inventory for the ladies. Apparels for the men. The only thing that kinda sucks is having to pay to park in the garage! That’s okay cause it’s Jersey City so that’s expected! They even have a Auto Center! How much longer will this place continue to stay open! Jersey City lost the Kmart but this Sears is above and beyond. You have two levels and the employees are friendly!

Not all product from all department present here in the store, disappointed to see no sunglasses available in Sears. Also the store timings are so wierd, it closes at 6PM seriously. Only thing I am glad to see the store is not so congested, all racks, tables are placed with ample distance. Thanks for that.

Open for very nice clearance sale. In got some causal pants for $9.99 and rubeak jeans for 50% off - $15. Good great and looks great. Most clothing items were less than $15 and great clearance with less than $5 on XL and plus size clothes. No trial rooms so be sure what size u need. Will be visiting the site again soon..

Went to the store to look at refrigerators. We had to check a few things before we ordered one so the guy there told us to call and he can take care of things when we decided what could be done. Well, we have tried over and over and NO ONE there picks up a phone. We have left numerous messages and NO ONE has returned our call. Very disappointed in Sears. Gave it 2 stars because the man was friendly. Otherwise it would be one

Web site should indicate how to enter the store. Several street level doors were locked. For faster checkout have more cashiers. Great prices and selection. Looking forward to next week and future holiday sales.

I have been calling for 3 days straight to follow up on my wedding rings and if they are ready for pick up since it’s been over a month. I live over 30 minutes away and am trying to not waste my time and nobody picks up the phone. I have called every department and no one picks up the phone. The store isn’t even that busy this is so frustrating.

a few things that sears can make to cover it's loss and attract customers..I think mangers don't go to stores in person. even though sears filled bankruptcy, store can still sell and earn customers. I recognize that , store is quite and calm , it doesn't make you feel that you shop. play good music. second price check machine didn't work at all. which caused that many customers leave the goods even though it is cheap, this is leading to the next issue which is, the price tag is not the actual price. it is usually higher. so consumer chooses a good , she/ he goes to check the price because the price on the tag is high, machine doesn't work, few cashier are working. which ends up that your customer leave the store....

Seems like the store didn’t have as much as it use to in it. They were closing out Lands End. The employees were friendly. And they were helpful as well. Seems like the clothes aren’t as cute and stylish as they used to be.

When I was visiting last time there was no air conditioning and we had to leave due to the heat. I had a list of things to purchase but it was too uncomfortable. The store has a good shoe and clothing departments. There is also a very good optical department. I hope they fix the air conditioning. I would like to be able to shop there.

Go see David the assistant manager. I asked him how long and he said an hour, but I was out of there in less then 40 minutes. He was transparent in his feedback on the car and very polite. 5 stars all the way!

Their shoe dept is pretty good. It always feels like they're on the verge of shutting down since parts of store appear empty. They've moved their registers 3X since I've been coming here for shoes. I usually go after work so there's never much of a line. I also bought a $20 sheath dress from here which fit me so well and worked for the occasion.

Specifically went to this store to try on suits for my young two boys as they were on sale. When we finally choose the style and size we liked the cashier refused to honour the online price which was 40% off. I told her I could simply order it now on my phone and pick up the same suits and the discounted price. She refused to assist or help me and was more interested in selling me a Sears credit card. Awful service and not surprised the company is going down the pan if that's the customer service they provide!

Display shows 10 dollars but they took 17.99 and when asked for price diff. They simply reduced and not agreed to what they marketed. Rude response to customers.

We ordered tires online and when we showed up for our appointment to have them installed we were rudely told the tires were not in stock and no one could help us or tell us when they would arrive. We asked about a refund and were told they didn't handle refunds. We called the central customer service number when we got home for a refund and the agent we spoke to called the store for us and even she was given the run around. First she was told they had the tires then when she asked them to check she was told they didn't have the tires when she asked for the manager the people on the phone in the store hung up on her if Sears employees can't get treated with respect than there's no reason to believe you will be. We will never shop here again.

WE ORDERED A BILLIARDS TABLE TWO WEEKS AGO . One it's a 70$ service fee and we still haven't gotten the right delivery. Two times we've been delivered just the legs of the pool table. What are we going to do with the legs of a pool table, without the TABLE it self? Not only have my parents contacted customer service more than three times, we also went to the store ourselves to make sure that our order came correct. If I can rate it 0 stars I would. Don't order from this Sears.
