This rating is based on customer reviews, inventory size, pricing, and service quality
For shoppers in East Los Angeles, CA, Tex Auto Wrecking shows a strongly negative trend: 18/100. Recent reviews cite unprofessional staff, insults, and poor customer service, with long waits, wrong or broken parts, and disputed refunds. Pricing feels risky due to money taken upfront and delayed paybacks. A lone positive notes a trouble-free motor, suggesting occasional good inventory, but overall reliability and part accuracy are major concerns. Yard cleanliness drew complaints; organization and variety are unclear from this limited sample.
What clients say about Tex Auto Wrecking in East Los Angeles (CA)
SCAMMER AVOID- This man deserves no money. I spent $450 for replacement parts and labor, Alfonso never ended up fixing my car after a MONTH. *Video down below he gave me permission to record and demanded me to delete it afterwards * The owner of this “business” Alfonso is a complete liar and Scammer. He will waste your time, energy and steal your money don’t come to this “mechanic “. Demanded a refund considering it’s been a month of excuses and he got very insulting, rude and disrespectful. This is not a business. This is a complete scam. I would never recommend coming here to anyone his space literally smelled like straight dog poop because he has 10 dogs.
Alfonso who is the manager that works here is completely disrespectful and unprofessional. I went here for a part for a Cadillac CTS however he gave me the wrong part and then a broken part. He called me to curse at me for his mistake. Don't do business here you will be disappointed. I would give a 0 star if possible.
0-Stars – Avoid Tex Auto Wrecking Yard at All Costs
This is hands down the worst business I have ever dealt with in my life.
I paid $900 for Mercedes parts, and what I received was complete garbage—low-quality, unusable parts. When I asked for a refund, that’s when the real nightmare started.
It’s been almost a YEAR, and I’m still chasing my money. He’s been dragging this out by sending tiny amounts here and there, and still owes me $400. Every single time I follow up, it’s the same thing: excuse after excuse, broken promises, and no payment when he says he’ll send it.
On top of that, this guy is completely unprofessional and disrespectful—he has actually cursed me out instead of handling the situation like a real business owner.
DO NOT give this place any money upfront. Seriously. Save yourself the stress and go literally anywhere else. This is not a legitimate, trustworthy business—it’s a hassle and a headache.
What makes it worse is that I referred multiple people to him, and every single one of them had complaints about his bad business practices.
