I had an outstanding experience at American tire centers Hollywood. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. They took the time to explain my tire options clearly, without any pressure, and helped me choose the best set for my budget, and driving needs. The service was fast and efficient, I was in and out quicker than expected, and they made sure everything was perfectly balanced and aligned.

These guys are the best. I've been a customer for a few years. Their prices are better than anywhere else in town and you can count on them being honest. I found a screw in my tire today and not only did they tell me the tire could be salvaged with a patch, they didn't even charge me for it! I can't recommend them highly enough!

I've been coming to American Tire Centers for a couple of decades now, through three cars, and the service is always PERFECTION. John and his team are HONEST, professional, kind, and really know what they're talking about. I recently bought a new car, and this morning my tire pressure light came on. The dealer is less than five minutes from where I live, but, instead, I drove to Hollywood Tire Centers on Hollywood Boulevard. The fabulous Chris helped me today. He told me all of my tires were equally low, likely due to the cold weather. He checked my pressure and put air in my tires and wouldn't charge me. Having had a bad experience with low-profile tires years ago (eight flat tires in less than a year), John and Vic suggested I change them, and they put Hankook tires on my VW Beetle, which fixed the problem and saved me hundreds of dollars. I asked Chris today if the tires on my new car were low-profile and he said yes, SUV low-profile, but that I didn't need to worry about it and spend money to change them. This is the kind of service and honesty one consistently receives at American Tire Centers. The confidence I have in this place, this staff, and their work is unparalleled. To say I highly recommend American Tire Centers on Hollywood and Kingsley is an understatement. Thank you, Chris, John, Vic, et al.

He clearly explained my options and helped me choose what made the most sense for my car. The service was quick, efficient, and priced fairly. Great service. I previously bought my tires there several months ago. They are wearing well. A screw punctured a tire causing a leak and the tire was nearly flat before I noticed. My on board sensor didn't work. They spent less than 20 minutes immediately upon my arrival and did not charge me a thing. Great service.

I’ve been really fortunate to have found John and his team at American Tire Centers (ATC) in December 2023. Today (in 2026) I went in to get all four brake pads replaced because the dealership had told me my brake pads were measuring between 3mm-4mm, basically in the yellow. Though I don’t drive much, with all the erratic drivers out there I thought it best to get it taken care of. I did call around to see what the lay of the land is — whether I pay less or more, I try my best to make conscious choices of what/where I’m spending my money on. Though with a coupon another major chain was $30 cheaper, I decided to go with ATC because I trust John and they respect me and my time. I’d rather continue to build my relationship with John and give them my business than save $30. Well, John personally inspected my brakes and said my brake pads don’t need to get replaced! None of them! I believed him when he told me the first time, but he took the time to take out the measuring tool and showed me how much padding I actually had left. I’ve been meaning to write this review, and this was the push to get it done! Chris was working the desk today and managing the office, and he was incredibly friendly and professional too. Below are the top reasons why John gets my business: Clear & Direct Communication: Some mechanics are very cagey about quoting prices, timelines, and appointments. There’s a place that I go to for under the hood stuff, which John doesn’t do, who really doesn’t like to give me an estimate over email or phone. I get it — when you actually start working on a car sometimes the prices change. But I do need a ballpark so I can figure out what card to use or budget, etc. John is always responsive, clear, and accurate. I’ve gotten at least 3-4 quotes from him that all were honored and completed as detailed in our emails. Now, I am also very clear with him about what I need to get the done and what the condition of the car is in, etc. So if you are clear with him, he will be clear with you! Pricing & Value: I talk to other drivers and try to give a few places a call on top of doing my own research before I get any work done. John gave me the best price when I replaced all 4 tires in 2023. He was able to bundle that along with a brake flush and wheel alignment. For considerably less than the dealership, and actually from other retailers, even Costco. When my tire got slashed my a homeless person, he checked it to see if he could patch it, but when it had to be replaced he just charged me for the tire itself. Btw, this was a couple years later and he gave me the same price for the tire as when he replaced it the first time. Efficient: If I had found ATC years earlier, I would’ve saved so much time getting any work done on my car! Unlike other places, if you set an appointment with John, he usually gets it done very quickly. Most work I’ve scheduled with him, gets done within the hour—if not sooner! Of course, this depends on what type of work you’re doing, but he’s very efficient and makes sure to honor any appointments. Honesty: Cars are like teeth. Incredibly important, mysterious (unless you know cars and teeth), and usually VERY expensive! There is a level of trust you have to have in the people working in such a specialized field. There are some unscrupulous people, who do take advantage of people who don’t know better and charge more, recommend extra but unnecessary services, or straight up lie. I feel so happy that with John I know he will get the work done well and I don’t have to worry about it after it is done. He is honest about what I need to get done and how much it costs. He also takes the time to explain certain aspects of each service. When I was surprised I had to get my tires replaced because I hadn’t yet driven 30,000 miles, he took the time to explain why and how tires deteriorate. This level of trust, honesty and care is worth its weight in gold. John is a man of few words, but when your work reflects your values you don’t need to talk to prove it! ATC is truly a gem!

So friendly and super fast service. Came in at the end of the day for a tire patch. They got me in and out and on my way within 20 minutes with a fresh patch and fresh air in all four tires. I had just come from a bad experience at a national chain (PB), where I was ignored for ten minutes and they tried to scam me. Grateful to have the opposite experience here at American Tire Centers, they were so fast and honest! American Tire Centers Hollywood saved my tire and my wallet!

These guys are the best. I have a pretty long commute on the side streets of LA so I am regularly hitting pot holes or running over nails. They are always super helpful and very fast workers. Really nice and respectful. Will continue to come back!

Best service ever!! They fixed my dented tires on the spot for FREE. It looks like new and now I don’t have to buy new hubcaps anymore. The guy helping me was named Chris. He was super nice! Never going to any other tire place again :)

These guys are incredible. Auto repair shops usually stress me out, but this team is consistently calm, welcoming, and honest. Over the past two years I’ve needed tire help three different times, and every experience has been outstanding. The first time I came in, they found a single tire that perfectly matched the others on my car, saving me a ton of money. A few months later I returned for another issue and, once again, they found me a great same-day deal and had me back on the road fast. Today, less than a year later, I discovered a bolt in my tire (of course ?) and they patched it for free. I honestly owe them three five-star reviews, but here’s at least one. the most competent , honest place i trust my whole family’s cars. tires, brakes, suspension, etc. for our 120k odyssey. awesome pilot sport 4 and eibach sway bars for my mustang mach e…i work down the street at a clinic/ hospital nearby and so it’s an easy walk (they usually offer me a ride but i like the walk). they consistently over deliver in quickness, quality of work and affordable prices. great family run place. love these guys

Had the best experience! Went in for an alignment and tire rotation. My suspension was too messed up to do the alignment, but they rotated my tires for free. Tried to give them something for it and wouldnt take $. Happy to keep going back. Thanks guys.

had an incredible experience at American Tire Centers today and felt compelled to leave a review. I came in unexpectedly with a flat tire caused by a nail, and from the moment I arrived, everyone immediately jumped in to help me. The team was kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. They repaired the tire, noticed rust on the back of my wheels, and even polished it without me asking. What truly amazed me was that they refused to charge me anything — zero charge — and simply wished me luck on my way. It’s rare to experience this level of honesty, generosity, and human kindness these days. I’m still in disbelief at how well I was treated. Thank you to the entire team for restoring my faith that there really are wonderful people out there. I will absolutely recommend American Tire Centers to everyone I know.
