I was so happy with the service here. I needed a small but urgent fix to my car. I stopped by and they were able to get it done really quick and for a super reasonable price. I’m so glad I was referred to them :)

Can't say enough about the great service we received from Long Automotive. 200 miles from home, needed emergency repair and they made time for it to be done and got us back on the road. We're very grateful.

I needed a smog check for my 2017 vehicle. The place up the street wanted $85 dollars. I found this location on yelp and called. The manager said $60 and gave me a $10 dollar discount for mentioning yelp. This place is clean with an air conditioned waiting room. The staff here is courteous, professional and quick. Highly recommend.

Dave and his team at Long Automotive are THE BEST! I’ve trusted them with my vehicles for 17 years, and they always deliver excellent, honest service at fair prices. My van drives like a dream every time, and it’s rare to find a shop this good for this long. Highly recommend!

Used them twice, both times they would tell me they will get back to me, I hear nothing, was a couple of days, nothing, try calling, nothing, text message, nothing, and finally had to just show up at the garage to get an answer. Took almost seven weeks to get my car back from them, they ghosted me so many times, and when I finally got my car back it still had issues that another mechanic said were not fixed. I really can’t suggest not going to these guys enough. Though there is a cute dog at the shop, so if you like dogs and don’t have a car to get repaired, then they be alright.

I can’t say enough about this shop! Very reasonable prices, friendly service, a cute bulldog who greets customers, and my car drives like a dream! Because they’re so amazing, they get very busy so it might be hard to get them on the phone sometimes but don’t let that deter you. HIGHLY recommend!!

I hate to write poor reviews for a locally owned small business, but need to warn people after my experience. I was recommended to Dave at Long Automotive because he specialized in older cars (I drive a 1994 Volvo), affordable, and I was having a small issue. Dave, the head mechanic, was incredibly condescending when he spoke to me and about the issues with my car. He held on to my car and "worked on it after hours" for SIX WEEKS - did not even fixing a thing. He finally said "you have a problem car and need to take it somewhere else," - which was ultimately not true. Most frustratingly, he never called me for updates, and would not pick up when I called the shop - my mistake not pulling my car sooner. The only way to get an update was to show up in person, which I did once a week. My updates were "still running some tests"... I don't know if Long Auto is underprepared or had too many cars in the lot, but I was surprised how disrespected and talked down to I felt every time I walked out of their shop. Having Long Automotive service my car was an incredible waste of time. I ended up biting the bullet and taking my car to HiTech Auto where their incredibly organized team repaired my Volvo the same day for under $300. Six weeks at Long Auto and one day at HiTech! HiTech is generally expensive, but so organized and will repair your vehicle with clear communication and kindness.

David is an excellent mechanic. He is honest and doesn't try to upsell you on repairs. This is a reason why he always has a full lot of cars. If you want a quality mechanic at a fair price, bring your car here. It's best you bring your car early as the car's pile up early as he is a sought after mechanic.

Long Automotive is an AMAZING shop. I’ve been taking my car there for years. They are honest, and will give you a decent rate for repairs, usually cheaper than any other places.

Don't want to go to the dealer for repairs and troubleshooting? Go here! This place offers fast and reliable service, fair prices, and excellent communication. I trust taking my car here for all types of assessments and repairs. They also do smog.

In a city with mechanics on seemingly every corner, it can be hard to figure out who is legit. In my experience, these guys are great. I have to 20+ year old vehicles and I have the work they done on them to be reliable. I have been to a couple if other mechanics in the area and have settled on these guys. Trust is a big thing for me, and I trust these guys. They are old school and I like that as well. The only thing that's a hassle is the parking. Can be hard to find a place to park.

Great mechanic! After moving to Los Angeles, I was nervous about finding a new mechanic but I'm so glad I found Long Automotive. Dave and his crew are efficient at what they do for a very reasonable price. Will continue to come here for car maintenance!

Very good, neighbor business, always tries to save me money because they know I need it. I have been praised for referring them to others. I was a customer from the old ownership in the 2000s and the new ownership more recently. Same thing. Both good. Not a lot of people can walk to the repair shop but I can. Very very convenient.

Had a fantastic experience at Long automotive. We didn’t know if what was going on with our car was normal in this heat so we called Longs and they got us in, assessed the car, and had it back to us confirming everything was in working order in no time. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable and courteous! Highly recommend.

David had my back windshield replaced on a 92 Camry in a very short period of time. They have great communication and because they know their repairs, they were able to give an exact quote. I called on Friday evening, drove it in Saturday morning and it was ready for pickup that same afternoon. Great service.

Many things change in L.A. Except here at Long's. Been coming here for over 10 years. Not only does Dave the owner and his crew give great honest advice for your car treatment. I wish I would've found Long Automotive sooner! I am very particular about my car, and have been looking for an honest mechanic to take it to since I moved to Los Angeles 8 years ago. Everybody at Long Automotive has been super helpful, trustworthy, and communicative. I have recommended Long Automotive to multiple friends, and they also have had only good things to say. I highly recommend this place to anybody in need of a good mechanic.

My daughter's car broke down just a couple of blocks from Long Automotive, and after doing a bit of research on where to take the vehicle, we chose Long on a whim. So glad we did. They took care of the issue very quickly, and the price was incredibly reasonable. What a change from years of feeling "taken" by automotive shops when in a desperate situation. Our experience with Long Automotive was the opposite - fantastic in every way. I never, ever write reviews on Google and felt compelled to give them a shout out for the great service. Dave and his team are not just excellent at what they do and knowledgeable, but they are fair and honest. I trust Dave with being straightforward and to not try to sell me things. They also go above and beyond in fixing issues with my husband and my cars when I know most auto repair shops would have not tried because they would lose money and it was too complicated. I have been consistently blown away by the team and wish I could find a place up in Washington where I live now that is half as good!

I cannot count the ways that I love this shop. My family has been coming here for years since it is right down the street and it is always a pleasant and professional experience. I have been going more recently because I purchased an older project car that needed some work done to get up and running and now for sale. Dave helped me every step along the way, always called to let me know if there was anything else he found, and always does it for a great price. I would recommend anybody to take your car here, you won't be disappointed.

I HIGHLY recommend this auto repair shop!! During a road trip to Los Angeles from Seattle, I had an issue with my brakes. I had noticed amazing Yelp reviews about this business while looking for a place to take my car. Upon arriving, I was greeted by Dave, the owner. Immediately I felt welcomed and that I was valued as a customer. Dave was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain what he discovered while assessing my car. He explained what needed to be done and how long it approx. would take. Because I was in Los Angeles alone, I needed to wait for the repairs to be done. During my wait, I took notice of how the employees took proper precautions while working on my car and other cars. The waiting room and bathroom were very clean, which made me feel at ease considering the COVID pandemic. Dave also provided updates while working, which took away the guessing on how much longer the repairs would take and that everything was going as planned. I wish we had shops like this in Seattle. Definitely a great experience.

These guys are excellent! I bring my car here whenever I need a tuneup. They are great at explaining what needs to be tuned up so that I know exactly what is going on and I’m paying for and I never feel left in the dark. Their rates are very reasonable, and they are friendly and easy to talk with over the phone and in person. Highly recommend!

Called on Monday late afternoon and got in on Tuesday morning. They are very sweet. The mechanic that called me during the day was awesome too and was able to talk straight and without exaggeration on questions I had about other repairs I know the car needs as well as general prices for them. Paid around the minimum I thought I would for repairing my front brakes. Very happy with my experience and will come back although for just repairs, not oil change, since I can get that done cheaper and still good at another place.
